I just finished ‘Eucalyptus Remota’ honey and my only complaint is ….. the jar isn’t big enough! It is so lovely. I have a spoonful of honey each day and I now know this is the honey I will be reordering.
Thank you .

I recently bought two types of honey, and both were absolutely amazing!
The Sugar Gum honey was beautifully sweet, and my kids absolutely loved it. It has a smooth, delicious flavour that's perfect for the whole family.
The Island Beach honey had a unique, stronger taste that I had never experienced before, and it was so good! The rich flavour was distinctive and incredibly enjoyable.
Both honeys were high quality and exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be buying again in the future and highly recommend them to anyone who loves great honey!

The main produce is honey and related products.
We visited in March 2026.
There is even a live bee-hive at the back, with bees in-and out, and the production in the honeycomb can be seen through the glass - very unique!
We purchased some lip-ice, body lotion, and honey-nut nougat!
The shop manager was very helpful and informative - Thank you.
Yes, well recommended.

I had heard that some honey available in supermarkets had been adulterated with syrup and I wanted organic raw honey so I decided to purchase quality honey mainly for the medical benefits and immediately thought of the Kangaroo Island Ligurian Bee Company where the bees live in pristine conditions surrounded by Australian native plants and wildflowers.
My husband and I were not disappointed. It was packed extremely well and arrived within a few days from ordering.
The taste is divine and reminds us of our childhoods when we ate honey straight from the comb.
Later this year, I intend to purchase more for overseas friends and relatives.

The beekeeping tour was great! Peter (the owner) and Pieter were very knowledgeable and provided lots of information about the honey making process. You have an opportunity to see the bees at work as well! You can tell Peter is still very passionate about the business!! Wish you all the best in your retirement and good luck Pieter with your new job. 5 stars, don't miss it! P.s. the honey is unbelievable.

Not all honey tastes the same. I normally like wildflower honey or black sage honey on toast with a little butter, or honey and some half-and-half in my coffee. But Some of the honey’s from kangaroo Island are amazing! My favorites have been the Pennington Bay and Port Lincoln Malley. Highly recommended!
The Cup Gum and Sahara are similar to each other, and very nice. I tried the Eucalyptus Remota and Yucca, and they are both good, with more bold, stronger flavors, and of the two I prefer the Yucca.

One of the local businesses associated with the KI Bees & Honey production. A good spot to go if you are wanting a honey related product to take home (if visiting KI). Highly recommend sampling the honey icecream while there. Even have a hive behind glass you can observe bees in. Very friendly staff & super helpful if you have a question

My favourite place to get honey from, every time I visit Kangaroo Island it is a must to go there. Amazing honey selection & free samples to entice. Every visit I walk out with some Honey Mead, a couple of bottles of Sparkling Honey drink while eating some delicious Honey Icecream. If you're a local you know what I'm talking about, if you're a visitor put it on your list of things to do & don't miss out.

Been buying their honey for 2 years now and I don’t plan on stopping! Their honey varieties and Meade tastes amazing and it’s so easy to buy gifts for family and friends.
I’d love if you could make candles again! I loved all the shapes and designs. Maybe some big scented ones for rooms would be grand.

Wow!! What absolutely stunning honey 🍯.
I bought this honey as I’m a small non commercial beekeeper and wanted to show support and love for an area devastated by fire but I feel I got the better end of the bargain 💛
It has the most amazing favour, lovingly presented, arrived packaged beautifully too. Plus a sweet little surprise was added to my order!
Had to add a photo of my own honey 😉

This wasn’t just a honey tasting or a quick tour. With Peter, we got a full-blown history lesson, science class, and cultural experience all wrapped into one. He walked us through the fascinating story of how Ligurian bees—originally from Italy—were brought to Kangaroo Island in the 1880s and how the island was later declared a bee sanctuary, making it the last pure strain of these gentle, industrious bees anywhere in the world.
Peter’s passion for his craft is contagious. With every word, you can feel how deeply he cares—not just about the bees, but about the island’s ecology, history, and future. He answered every question with clarity and a twinkle of joy, making the whole experience rich, personal, and full of heart.
And then the honey. Wow. Each one we tried was 100% made on the island, completely unique in flavor, texture, and floral influence. It’s not just honey—it’s terroir in a jar. You’re tasting Kangaroo Island itself.
Peter is a true gem, and this experience is a must-do for anyone visiting the island. Whether you’re a foodie, a nature lover, a history buff, or just someone who appreciates passionate people doing meaningful work, make sure this is on your list. 🐝🍯

We went there after 3 pm and realised that their tours were closed. But we did some honest shopping and it was so worth while. The Eucalyptus remota is a must try, they give you to taste it!! It was our favourite honey. The price is high for that one, apparently it was made before kangaroo island fire. We ended up purchasing 3 honey bottles !
