Wonderful place with amazing views
The checkin information could have been explained better. But a top notch place. So many kangaroos , emus , birds ( galahs and ring neck parrots). Highly recommend. The pool is beautiful too with an amazing views of 330 million years old rockfalls. Super unique.

A lovely spot off the beaten track, very nice chalet stocked with a generous welcome pack.
Covered car port (the Kangaroos like to use).
Good bed and shower, decking out front with stunning views.
Room sevice and restocked on second day.
Swimming pool on site, and a restaurant.
Only down side is some staff don't observe the speed limit on site, otherwise top notch stay.

We booked a bush camping spot for 3 nights. Were able to mover every night around the 5 acres and were nowhere near anyone. But still near a clean flushing toilet. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. (Side note, to the person who drank the bore water here and got sick despite all the signs saying ‘don’t drink the water’, you are the reason there is warning labels on bleach).

Come to Rawnsley Park Station for the scenery and station amenities, they’re exceptional. We had emus walk right near the outdoor pool, which was very neat. Our 3 bedroom cabin was spacious for group of 7 (we had an accessible unit) but quite outdated and it had quite a bit of ants traveling through it. The cabin could definitely use some TLC and updating as I believe it was built in the early 1990s and looks the part.

The pool was right in front of our cabin which was convenient and had a beautiful view of Rawnsley Bluff. The Woolshed Restaurant offers both dine in and takeaway and I had the latter - chicken parm, which was delicious.

We stayed in a cabin on the campsite and it was great. The cabins are well equipped and the campsite shop is well stocked.
We also went on a 4x4 tour and our guide Rachel was amazing, it was a lot of fun and made our stay in Flinders even better!

Great campground in the Flinders Ranges Great location with amazing views and lots of wildlife. Great restaurant nearby, peaceful surroundings. would highly recommend the campground if you are coming to the Flinders ranges. Good facilities, even has a pool to cool down in the hotter weather.

Rawnsley Park is a wonderful place to stay in The Flinders Ranges. We stayed at the Caravan Park on recommendation from friends who travel a lot, and we weren't disappointed.
It was terrific! Clean, quiet park with a great amenities block. Basic supplies available at reception to save going into Hawker for bits and pieces.
The ground was hard so having hex pegs for our tent was a good idea, especially as it was windy.
We really enjoyed the option of eating out at the Wool Shed Restaurant too. Delicious.

There are great walk options right in Rawnsley Park. Magnificent views. Loved it!

Unique part of Australia We stayed in a 2 bedroom holiday unit for 4 nights. This was enough time to explore the park and do walks and a full day 4WD tour which was a highlight of the trip which I would highly recommend. I also did a flyover of Wilpena Pound with Chinta air which was fabulous and leaves from Rawnsley station.
The unit was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook our own meals and a decent sized fridge to store supplies that we bought in Jamestown which has a good sized Foodland. Barbecues were very handy just outside and spotlessly clean. We ate at the Woolshed restaurant 1 night and were rather disappointed with it (see separate review).
We loved having emus outside especially at dusk and views of Rawnsley Bluff were quite spectacular. We also enjoyed the walks around Rawnsley station of which there are several but you need to have a fly net as flies were really bad. It was also extremely windy weather for first 3 days and my flight had to be rescheduled. The reception staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Jules our 4WD drive guide was excellent.
Wilpena Pound was approx 20 minute drive away on sealed road but is much more bushy so we were glad we had chosen Rawnsley to stay at. We did one of the walks there as well but quite different terrain. There was a terrific art exhibition currently on at Wilpena of local artists which we loved.

Beautiful Flinders Ranges Had a great time. Went on a flight over the Flinders which was unbelievable and Pilot was down to earth and friendly. Travelled to Blinman and went to the mine. Went to Wilpena Pound and had some indigenous education. Enjoyed this.
Also went to Parachilna and had a wonderful meal of camel.

All were wonderful and glad I was able to do it all in 2 days. As rotten weather came and we decided to take off home 4 days early.
We stayed at Rawnsly Park Station great place
But highly recommend going to the Flinders Ranges at least one time.

Caravan Park + Family vibes at Ikara Flinders Rangers More a caravan park, than a ‘bush retreat’.

Amenities such as showers and cooking facilities were there, as stated, and as clean as it can be with a lot of families and kids around.

Pool is small, and very much for children, as are all the public spaces.

Expect to listen to layers of other guests music into the night, and caravan and amenity lights shining around your campfire, rather than quiet and a focus on nature and dark sky’s. (A passive-aggressive tuning lights on-off occurred with some recreation bbq area lights surrounding a few campsites with different campers wanting different things).

People at the reception weren’t particularly friendly; but we found the staff at Wilpena Pound really helpful for ideas on hikes and adventures, and the volunteers ant Wilpena Pound are amazing and we followed their advice!

A great place to take the whole family + a school trip if that’s what you want.

Unfortunately not what we were looking for and very hard to find information this is what it would be like.

Suggest the Woolshed to escape for some adult time, if need be.

Not my favourite We are Seniors, so this needs to be considered when reading this review.
Large caravan park, hilly, but sites have been levelled. The advertised photos show the park empty and it was full when we were there, so very close proximity to others.
The entrance from the road is unsealed and rough. It is advertised as a working sheep farm, which means the sheep arrive bleating very early morning, which I enjoyed; however, this is definitely a caravan park first, absolutely no sheep farm ambience. Beautiful views from the non-powered area. There was a problem with the septic system while we were there, which wasn't addressed over the weekend, making it rather smelly for 48 hours. It was fixed on the Monday. We were encouraged to go to the Woolshed Restaurant, which we presumed was onsite; however, it is over 2km away on a dirt road with no lighting (bit dangerous to walk) and there is no shuttle bus, so needed a designated driver, which was disappointing. Restaurant was fabulous.
If I was to return to Flinders Ranges, given the fact that we are Seniors, I would stay at Wilpena Pound where the whole park is level, the sites appear larger, there is a large IGA and the road entry is sealed.

Plenty of space out here and the sheep roamed right up close to us Toilets just up the hill & have to travel back to the main area for a shower & to use the laundry These facilities are well maintained & very clean. All the staff are very friendly

Stunning scenery, good rates, friendly staff and dog friendly. Beautiful property. Absolutely stunning scenery and wildlife and had the sheep wander through camp. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable prices. Little shop with all you might need. Many options for staying, from cabins to a huge area for bush camping. And it's dog friendly. 💜

The best way to experience the Flinders Ranges This location has it all - stunning scenery that is ever changing with the light, bush campsites nestled below the spectacular Ridge that are private but still connected to amenities and the opportunity to do as much or as little as wanted in peaceful natural surroundings.
We can't wait to get back to Rawnsley !

A visit too brief We flew to Rawnsley Park Station as part of an air tour adventure and only stayed long enough to have lunch there. Enough time was allowed for a quick walk around the facilities, enough time for us to decide to visit and stay here while exploring the area.
The only downside was the cold, strong wind which made life uncomfortable.

We were looking forward to our stay at Rawnsley Park but we’re really quite disappointed. We booked for 4 nights but left after 3. Amenities were cleaned once while we were there, but generally are in a terrible state - the bottom of hand drier is like a Petri dish that must never have been wiped clean. Felt like we were imposing when we checked in. Also had a random dog wandering the park for 2 of the days we were there. Generally disappointing, pretty poor value for money and just feels like there’s a lack of care.

Great location and accommodation Accommodation
- Fantastic for price we got C1 Villa. Was basic but during the day you are exploring anyway
- Fire Pit outside (firewood available at Rawnsley and it’s cheaper than at the servo at hawker, so may as well support them for providing the service
- Amenities were good and laundry facilities (especially when you are in the middle of nowhere)

The Park
- Firstly starlink wifi is amazing all over the Park and also there is Telstra and Optus reception (better than Wilpina
- lots of amazing walks to go on (most are long though (over 2hrs)
- Alison Saddle <30mins for sunrise or sunset amazing views of the station and ranges
- Pugilist Hill for sunset (4wd needed)
- 4WD track across the road for self drive (ask for a map)

The Food
- book into Woolshed at least once for dinner recommend the Lamb Platter $108
- Woolsheld does take away if you pre order and also BBQ packs for 2 people for $85 (lamb plus salads and rolls

Love this area! We stayed in an eco lodge, which was very comfortable indeed. With great views over the ranges, the lodge had everything you needed. We booked the wallabies, copper tour and were told on arrival that it was cancelled due to the rain the day before. However the tour was adapted for us so we could still experience the area. Instead of exploring the gorges due to road closures, we did a lovely 3.5 km walk to some Aboriginal rock painting. The bush was relaxing and there were some great views as we headed up. The copper mine was well worth a visit. Thanks to Alan & Sean for making the tour interesting and fun! We will be back to experience the gorges in dry weather for sure. Would recommend the Woolshed restaurant for a nice night of good food & wine. Great place to visit & explore the area. Thankyou!

Rawnsley Park Unpowered Site Just spent 5 days at Rawnsley Park Station on an unpowered site & it was exceptional. The site we had was huge, flat & had spectacular views of the southern side of Wilpena Pound. We were there during SA school holidays & there was still plenty of room & not cramped at all.
We found all the staff friendly & accommodating, the facilities are excellent, even able to pressure clean the 4wd & remove the red mud which was great given we were heading back into civilisation.
We would recommend this as the best place to base yourself when coming to explore the Central Flinders Ranges.
We will definitely be coming back here for a future stay.

A great campground in the Flinders Ramges! Rawnsley Park Station Campground was a superb camp ground with amazing facilities, fire pits showers and toilets Great access to Wilpena pound and other trails and hikes will definitely stay here again! So close to everything in the Flinders Ranges that you want to see!

Beautiful location The powered site are generous and the outlook from the site was just beautiful. Excellent facilities and you could purchase firewood to enjoy a fire at night. It is a great base to visit the Flinders Ranges and visit Wilpena pound at a reasonable price

Thank you Rawnsley Park Station for opening up your property. We had 3 nights in the bush camping area and could have easily stayed more! As a solo hiker, I really appreciated the well signed hikes on the property. Flushing toilets were a bonus in the bush camping area!!

Rawnsley Park a Great Experience Excellent powered sites. Clean and upgraded regularly. Staff friendly informative and helpful even when busy. Facilities well maintained. Fire wood available and most sites have fire pits. Plenty of room on the sites. Hot showers & toilets clean both recently upgraded. Camp kitchen clean and well equipped. Walking tracks great around the station. Try their 4x4 track its a good moderate track and always interesting.

Haven in the hills. Great caravan park with friendly people and staff all round. Good size site a bit on the rustic side but it is the Flinders Ranges. Amenities were spotless and the Woolshed restaurant is fantastic and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to go again.

We recommend a stay at Rawnsley Park Station Flinders Ranges S.A Our second time at Rawnsley Park Station - caravan site, access is easy, very clean and modern amenities, laundry, Dump point for RVs, heaps of bush camping for those that choose to free camp and still have access to amenities available and camp kitchen. Very friendly and helpful staff at the store that provides basic groceries and local Rawnsley lamb, and also fuel.
The woodshed is awesome for sit in meals and we can recommend the takeaway menu service. Walks and bike tracks/views are fabulous - dog friendly and also an area for doggies to stay during the day if you plan a trip to the National Park sections of Flinders Ranges ,
we will definitely be back again.👍😁thank you to the wonderful staff .

All you need for family holiday in stunning location Simple cabin accomodation in the caravan park was perfect - very basic & 70's decor, but for the price - clean, warm, with all you need to enjoy an affordable family holiday in the most beautiful environment - well signed local walks, fire pit, fantastic 4WD tour of the Gorges (only the 2 of us guests!) covering geography, wildlife, human history, paleontology!!). Little shop at reception very well stocked with food/wine/wood . all you might need.

Check in was smooth and quick. The room we booked was clean and comfortable. I loved the kitchen with full stove so we could eat in with groceries we brought. They even leave fresh ground coffee for you to make in the mornings with a French press! The bed was the most comfortable with best quality sheets I’ve slept on this whole trip. If you are trying to decide if it’s worth the price to stay here, it is. You are so close to the national park and lots of hikes and important ancient sites. FYI if you want to eat at a restaurant for dinner you need to book the Woolshed restaurant very far in advance!!

We stayed in an Eco Villa and it was stunning. Beautifully clean, modern and well maintained. The setting and views have been captured perfectly. Everything you need is supplied-full kitchen, BBQ, just bring your food supplies. The wrap around verandah with amazing views was so special. There are nice drives and walks nearby. So relaxed after our stay.

Spacious bush camping We stayed in the bush camp area which had many large sites well spaced apart. Each had rock fire pits to use. There were rubbish bins and toilets spaced out in the bush area. The views of the range was one of the best in the Flinders. There are many trees but firewood collection is not allowed as they sell bags of it at reception. We purchased a bag $25 and it was excellent burning wood. There is a dining option at the Woolshed, and other accommodation options also. It was a great base to explore the Flinders Ranges, easy to do the loop up to Blinman across to Parachilna and down the highway to Hawker. Highly recommend staying at Rawnsley Station.

I stayed in a cabin that was extremely comfortable. It was very spacious and had a car port. The cabin contained everything for my needs. This is a very central place to stay if exploring the area and it is not necessary to stay at Wilpena Pound. There was a very useful map given to guests that provided bite size chunks of information about local flora and fauna that I found very informative. The attached photo is the view from my cabin.

Outstanding And peaceful Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Accommodation clean with great views. Staff very helpful and friendly. Woolshed is a nice place to share a cool beer with other travellers. And stay up long enough to see the fantastic display of stars in the night sky

Highly recommend the superior units, our 2 bed-room unit was clean, modern and had great views of the ranges! The pool was so refreshing after a day’s hike and also great views. We say kangarooos and emus wondering around from the pool and just from our balcony/patio. Lovely sitting outside just for the views.
Location was central for all the attractions. walking trails and also a short walk to the woolshed restaurant.
We booked via luxury escapes and included continental breakfast provisions which was plenty for our stay!

We loved our stay here at Rawnsley Park, the room was super clean, spacious and great kitchen. The location was amazing with Lots of great hikes nearby.

Waking up for sunrise was perfect! The view was amazing. It was so nice and quiet during the nights.

Our recent stay at Rawnsley Park Station was fantastic! The welcoming staff, well-maintained grounds, and spacious caravan site made for a delightful experience. Experience the Outback in all its glory only 5.5hoyrs from Adelaide. Fabulous place We were originally driving from Adelaide to Sydney but some Australian friends told us that we had to see ‘at least a little bit of the outback’. So we headed to Rawnsley Park Station in our Motorhome. It took about 5.5 hours from Hahndorf but the scenery is like nothing we have ever seen. Hawker is the last town before you arrive at Rawnsley and it has a gas station that sells some groceries so stock up before you leave on the long drive! We booked a powered site which was right at the top of the drive - having passed the Woolshed restaurant and Eco Villas. Each site has electricity and water, there are two amenity blocks although one was being refurbed ready for the next holiday. Camp kitchen with BBQ and oven. There was also a swimming pool down near reception. The peace and quiet was lovely. We were lucky with temperatures only reaching 33 but we slept with windows open fly screens closed! We could see stars and woke to birdsong. We ate at the Woolshed which was fabulous - highly recommend the Lamb Platter - a sharing dish of sausage, cutlets, loin, shoulder with mash potatoes and red cabbage. We also took a flight out over Wilpena Pound from Rawnsley Park which again was an excellent experience. Everyone wants to go visit Uluru but Wilpena Pound is so much bigger and more impressive and closer!!! Go visit Rawnsley Park Station if you get the chance

Such an incredible stay. We had our caravan but the bathrooms were amazing and clean, pool sublime and staff super friendly. It was our best and most peaceful stop

Unpowered caravan site was excellent. Nice and level and great views. Private but close enough to the great shower and toilet block. Plenty of hot water and very clean. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

There are good facilities for caravan/campers and great hikes within the park. They will mind your dog for the day for a fee if you wish to visit national parks so we have really enjoyed ourselves here and hope you do too.

I stayed at Rawnsley Park a couple of months back on a camping trip with friends that was an experiment post a brain injury I suffered some years back. It went wrong for me due to my disability and I had to make an emergency call to Rawnsley Park management to try and change my accommodation. They had no spare bookings available for alternative accommodation but were very creative in coming up with an alternative and helping me solve the issue I was having. My alternative was getting to Adelaide and travelling back to Melbourne via plane/train which I was seriously considering. Good old-fashioned service, and a little thinking outside of the box turned a disaster into a great experience and I cannot thank the staff enough.

Fabulous location within the Flinders Ranges. Has well marked walking trails making the tracks easily distinguishable. Accommodation is nice and comfortable. Has good swimming pools with an amazing backdrop and a restaurant on site which serves up some excellent food. Had everything I was looking for and thoroughly enjoyed. The setting is stunning such that sunrise and sunset are events in themselves. Plenty of wildlife on the walks.

What a truly amazing place to be so fortunate to visit. I wish I had been able to stay longer.

The accommodation is perfect, 2 bedroom cabins with full self catering facilities but if you are like me and prefer to let someone else do all the work for you, dinner at the Woolshed is the best. I had the kangaroo and would which was cooked superbly. So tender.

Be sure to check out the Flinders Gin as well. A great starter followed by some local red wine.

Topped of my visit with a scenic flight over the pound with great commentary. 1 hour cruising at 2km up gave me the best view and was well worth the investment.

Now I just need to work out when I can get back for another visit.

Comfortable accommodation in a great location The accommodation was very comfortable and well equipped for a self-catering holiday. There is also the option of dining at the excellent Woolshed Restaurant or having a DYI BBQ pack delivered to your unit. It’s a great location for exploring the Flinders Ranges.

Perfect setup and close to facilities Stayed in unpowered site which had an unrestricted view of rawnsley Bluff. Still close to toilets which were clean and spacious. Great setup and nothing to complain about. Good walks easily accessible and we started early for the bluff walk. Initially booked 5 nights but ended up staying for 8. We will be back as such a great place.

Fly over Wilpena Pound Make sure you go on the scenic flight over Wilpena Pound. Flights go from opposite the units, the pilot is great and there is no better way to experience Rawnsley Park or the whole Wilpena Pound area than from way up high. Was gifted this flight and so blessed to have been able to experience it.

Would definitely stay again but would bring my own pillow.

Amazing Place - great facilities We were touring the Flinders Ranges. Rawnsley Park Station was recommended by a friend who had stayed previously. We stayed in the Bush Camping area. It is really good to be able to find a space away from everyone and not be crammed into a small spot. Their facilities are excellent, flushing toilets in the bush camping area, showers and main amenities very clean and easy to use. All of the staff we had dealings with were very knowledgeable and friendly. I would certainly recommend anyone thinking about Rawnsley Park to stay there.

Very popular camping ground situated on a working station. Everything was booked out when we arrived. So we ended up in a non powered site too far from wifi. Campers were very friendly and well behaved. Lots of kids running around. The restaurant was booked out so I cannot comment. All amenities were clean and in good order.

We spent 6 nights here in the bush camping area. Everything about Rawnsley Park exceeded our expectations and our stay was the highlight of our 7 week road trip from Tasmania to south west WA and back. Sitting on the deck at The Woolshed with a cold beer looking up at Rawnsley Bluff at sunset is an especially great experience. We’re already planning our return next year! And a big thank you to the hard-working staff who do a fantastic job.

Wonderful getaway, great place to relax! Great place to stay and relax! Nice view off the porch, enjoyed having a drink and relaxing at the end of the day. Lots of wildlife to watch, great getaway! The Woolshed restaurant is a great option for dinner. Being so remote, I wasn't expecting much, but the whole experience was amazing.

We stayed on a powered caravan site overlooking the flowing creek. As usual the caravan park was heavily booked during our stay which is a reflection of the great service and high standards of the park. The amenities were clean and serviced daily. Looking forward to returning next year but in July

Nestled in the Flinders Rangers, Rawnsley Park Station is one of my favourite spots to visit. It had little to no service which meant time spent talking and laughing with family around the fire. The bathrooms were clean and we were able to get firewood there aswell. The views from any spot camping, were spectacular. The animals around the camp were plenty and I definitely can’t fault it, worth the time and effort of going there!

Fantastic Just a wonderful place to stay. Peace and quiet with superb views dawn and sunset of the bluff. Emus kangaroos all around. Clean comfortable well equipped with all mod cons. Very helpful staff. Would stay again.

Great location and hospitality. We stayed in a standard cabin and highly recommend Rawnsley Park Station as a base for activities in The Flinders Ranges. We booked a meal in the restaurant and all eight of us enjoyed a delicious meal. Pre dinner drinks on the deck with stunning views added to our enjoyment. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The facilities were spotless and comfortable. Bins for recycling provided and spaces to have a campfire dotted around the property (byo firewood). Some of our grip stayed in the caravan park cabins which were more basic and a cheaper option. They were in a lovely spot and also clean and comfortable.

Great base to explore the Flinders I was staying in an unpowered site in beautiful Rawnsley Station caravan park with mountain backdrop, surrounded by wildlife (kangaroos, wallabies, emus, birds). A stunning view to wake up to! The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accomodating, with lots of great advice on the best ways to explore the area. DOG FRIENDLY!! My Kelpie stayed in the kennel for a day so I could explore the National park, and was very happy. Staff were very helpful even when I arrived back much later than anticipated. Very clean and easily ammenities, including showers, communal kitchen (with BBQ, stoves, microwave, kettle etc) laundry, water available, a small grocer with lamb available from the Station, and a petrol bowser to fill up big days of driving.

Our first visit to Flinders Ranges was enhanced by our stay at the Rawnsley Park Station Caravan Park. Just loved that we could bush camp but still have access to amenities.
Found the Reception staff and information (brochures, maps etc) very helpful.
It was an ideal location for us and would happily book there again.

Fantastic Fantastic stay with great staff and other friendly travellers. Helicoptor ride is a must do while there. Leigh Creek hotel is well worth the stop for lunch or dinner. Blinman is another stop well worth it for the bakery and history. The gorges around the area are fantastic with many emu's about.

Great experience at Rawnsley Park Station. Husband and I spent 3 nights in superior cabin. The cabin was very comfortable with 2 bedrooms (queen and 2 singles) mattresses and linen excellent and electric blankets a welcome touch for the chilly evenings. The couches also good quality and very comfy. Good sized television well positioned. Kitchen and bathroom modern, towels, china, cookware etcetera all good. Plenty of lovely hot water too. BBQs close, clean, easy to use and the BBQ pack was amazing, especially the station raised lamb! Piece de resistance though the sublime views from the front deck not to mention little band of Emu. The walks/hikes well signposted and main tained without imposing on the natural beauty of the surroundings. Best walk perhaps was to the very close by Woolshed restaurant, the food here was top class, good portions and well priced. Service everywhere here from reception, restaurant and room and surrounds servicing was friendly and efficient, I guess just being in this awesome, ancient environment would put a smile on your face!

Great place to stay. Stayed at the caravan park. Ammenities are clean, hot water is good. Office staff are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend the helicopter flight! Will visit again. 3 nights nowhere near enough time.
