Horse Riding Cancellation Policy: Please understand that we schedule staff and horses based on bookings, so we kindly ask that you avoid last – minute cancellations. 72+ Hours Notice: No charges for changes or cancellations. 72 – 48 hours Notice: 25% of the service fee will be charged. 48 – 24 Hours: 50% of the service fee will be charged. Less than 24 Hours notice / same day cancellations / No shows: The FULL booking amount will be charged. This includes groups who change their mind on the day. Weather Cancellations: Rides will proceed in light to medium rain. Driza-Bone jackets are available for hire. In the event of torrential rain, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the ride. In the event of the temperature exceeding 38 degrees in reference to The Bureau of Meteorology, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the ride. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund, credit voucher, or the option to reschedule your ride.. If YOU cancel on the day due to weather, the full amount will be charged. Horse Riding Terms and Conditions Location Details Our rides operate from the grounds of The Hunter Valley Resort, located at the intersection of Hermitage Road and Mistletoe Lane, Pokolbin. Upon entering the resort, continue straight ahead and follow signs to The Farm, passing the tennis court until you reach the Adventure Centre shed. This is our meeting point. Conditions of Riding Minimum age for this ride is 13 years. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also riding. Group sizes may include up to 20 riders. If you prefer a smaller or more personalised experience, we recommend booking a private ride. We have a strict weight limit of 110kg. If you are suspected to be over 100kg, you will be required to weigh in upon check-in for the welfare of our horses. Your booking will only be confirmed once we have verified all booking details and ensured staff and horse availability. On the Day of Your Ride Arrival time is 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ride. Late arrivals may result in reduced ride time or forfeiture of your booking, as time is required for check-in, helmet fitting, and a safety lesson. All riders must complete the online waiver before arrival. This can be accessed through your confirmation email via the Smart Waiver link under the participant’s name. Any outstanding balance must be paid prior to riding, via cash or card. ALL rides are performed at WALKING PACE ONLY. Dress code: Enclosed shoes are mandatory. No bags including over the shoulder bags are permitted on the ride. The use of mobile phones and cameras while riding is strictly prohibited for safety and insurance reasons. Our team will endeavour to take complimentary photos during your ride and Airdrop them to you afterwards, time permitting. However, in the case you do not have an Apple Phone, are a part of a large group, or if time does not permit your photos will be uploaded to our Facebook page; ‘HVH Client Photos’. Please allow 72 hours for uploading. Safety and Behaviour We reserve the right to refuse any rider suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refunds will be issued in such cases. Horse riding involves inherent risks. Our trained staff are there to guide and assist you. You must follow all instructions given by our guides. Failure to do so may result in being removed from the horse and the ride without refund.
