It was worth the money and we would really recommend this experience.
This truly was so much fun. A must!
The area is beautiful and the e-bikes were a great way to experience it. We spent a good balance of time between the sand dunes and the surrounding bushland where we spotted lots of koalas and also saw a rare, large wild bee hive.
Our guide, Aldis, was supportive and informative of the surrounding area and wildlife. He provided a great briefing of the e-bikes, kept it simple, and made sure we were comfortable on them before we headed out. He managed our time well. During the ride he provided good guidance and encouragement on how to tackle 2 or 3 more challenging downhills on the dunes but never pushed us to do them, cautioning us that we didn't need to be heroes. Nothing was too hairy or difficult that you couldn't walk your bike down them if you wanted to.
Thanks for a fun experience!
Our driver, Candice, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She shared lots of interesting information with us, not only about the dunes but also about the local wildlife, including koalas, which made the tour even more engaging.
The buggy tour is quite expensive, but honestly, it was worth it. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island!
Our guide Aldis was fantastic. He was friendly, informative and flexible giving us freedom to choose from different options.
Stunning views on the way, between surf and sand, not to forget the thrills of the buggy ride. We were lucky to see koalas (one with her joey!) and a pod of dolphins from the lookout.
100% recommend to book if you either/both nature and thrill lovers!
A huge shoutout to Fox and Mickayla, they were both incredible guides. They took us across the sand dunes and out to the most beautiful hidden beach, and made the whole adventure fun, informative, and super welcoming. Their knowledge of the area, combined with their friendly energy, really made the tour feel personal and memorable.
They were also so accommodating throughout the day, making sure everyone felt comfortable and got the most out of the experience.
Highly recommend booking with Little Sahara, and if you can, request Fox and Mickayla, they made our trip unforgettable!
We did the buggy with Candice. I’m grateful for her wonderful guidance and hospitality. Her Japanese is also excellent. Thanks to her, our whole family had an enjoyable adventure and were able to appreciate the beautiful scenery. We also had the chance to encounter some wildlife. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island.
Merci ! Thanks ! Arigatou!
Highly recommend wearing sunglasses and leggings when sand boarding as it’s quite windy and sand gets EVERYWHERE.
Our tour guide was Candice and she was incredible. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and such a positive Vibe! We got to experience the flora and Fauna, see the costal line and of course driving through the Sand Dunes!
I can highly recommend this activity.
Adam our tour guide was great taking us on the 110 minute buggy ride through bushland sand dunes and coastal views, spotting wildlife and providing informative and interesting commentary along the way
As both first and second time visitors we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend to others.
Thanks Adam and team.
The large dunes have their own natural beauty.
Great fun, with some scary, nearly vertical drops!
We got to see koalas up close, learn interesting facts about bees, and discover more about the local plants. Candice was amazing – clear, passionate, and always happy to answer our questions. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in nature and learn something new!
Thank you so much, guys!
We had the chance to see a lot of water, which was obviously unusual for the tour, and we took a few detours but always felt safe. Not to forget: Singing or grumpy or acrophobic koalas and bees, birds, tea trees, kangaroos, the power of nature and the importance of fire. All packed in a two hour walk.
Great fun!
Highly recommended!

My elderly parents were a little uncertain beforehand, but ended up having the time of their lives!
With regular wildlife stops, incredible views and photo taking opportunities, there was just the right mix of adventure and nature.
Spending the last part of the journey cruising up and down the incredible sand dunes was an absolute highlight!
This was far and away one of the best experiences we had on Kangaroo Island, for sure.
The tour was a perfect mix of adrenaline-pumping excitement and breathtaking scenery. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time, capturing incredible photos and sharing fun facts along the way. Their passion for what they do is truly contagious.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a unique, well-organized, and thoroughly enjoyable adventure. Candice and Joel are absolute gems, and I’d book another experience with them in a heartbeat!
Love from Sydney!
We also learned about the devastating fires in 2019/20 that burnt over 40% of the Island.
She was super funny and always happy to answer our questions!
Now we know a bit more about the bees and koalas ☺️
