Highly recommend! We did the 'uncork the hunter'. Lots of wine lots of good quality food for lunch which was an antipasto box. Big mention to our tour guide Dave who was very knowledgeable, funny and made our tour what it was! Even offering to post a girls shoes who left them in the van. 10/10 service

A huge shoutout to Greg, our driver, who truly went above and beyond. From the moment he picked us up, Greg made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive, nothing was ever too much trouble. He safely stored all of our wines after each stop, ensured we had everything we needed, and looked after us at every winery with genuine care and professionalism. His easygoing personality and great sense of humour made the day even more enjoyable.

The all-inclusive nature of this tour is what really sets it apart, everything is thought of and taken care of, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy the beautiful Hunter Valley wines and scenery. Each stop was perfectly chosen, with great wine, food, and atmosphere.

Absolutely loved every minute from pickup from our accommodation to drop off. Our tour guide Dave shared soo much local knowledge and kept us laughing and entertained. Gorgeous picnic lunch boxes were full of flavour and variety. Even catered to the 1 vegetarian in our group of four. Fantastic choice of wineries, including cheese and chocolate pairings. Highly recommended and we will be booking again on our next trip.

Best private tours in the Hunter We have been on a private tour and had Paul before so imagine our luck to get a second one. The right balance of knowledge and humour to make the tasting all the better. Highly recommend these guys for their private tours

Not a boutique or special wine tour Our experience was really poor. The day started well with a trip to a small organic winery. We followed this with the paired chocolate and wine tasting. After this is when the tour went downhill, our next destination was the two fat blokes restaurant for our cheese board. When we received our cheese board the entire selection was frozen from the ham to the cheese and strawberries. This was followed by by the cheese and wine tasting which was good but it was also clean skin wines from another winery, following this we actually went to the winery they bought their clean skins from and did a tasting of essentially the same wines. This did not feel boutique or special especially for the price. We had a list of wineries we wished to visit and while we actually drove up the drive way of one and got the history of what was called the oldest winery in the hunter the tour actually never stopped there. We then had to do our own tour the next day driving around where we had some incredible wines and experiences and received far more history and information of growing processes then the previous day. This tour had us feeling like we had been scammed and wasted our money.

Nice tour with great wines Our tour guide Julie picked us up at the hotel and took us to three different places. The tastings were great. From our point of view, however, there could have been a little more cheese😉 At the second place, we were allowed to visit the winery – very exciting! And at the last location, we were told about olives, but there were none served as a side dish. This would be a welcome addition and might even increase sales😊 A great and exciting tour, but we would have liked to see more of the surroundings (e.g., vineyards, outdoor tasting).

The Wine Tasting Tour of the Hunter Valley is a MUST DO if you head up there for a weekend with TFB. My wife and I did a bus tour with a group of 10 and had such a GREAT day! We took a friend who had never done a wine tour and it had a very diverse group of all ages - from ages 23 - 53 - who love wine and cheese!!! (the oldies - us, mini hen's group, nurses). Chris, our host / wine expert, was really 1st class in wine knowledge and ensuring we had a FUN day. The bus picks you up where you are staying and all the wineries are in close proximity - maximising wine tasting experiences. There are diverse cheeses and even a wine / chocolate tasting venue, as part of the tour. Got some great photos too. It would be good if the host could join the group for the sit down lunch (should be part of the fee at the very least). 10/10 fantastic day out. Living the dream!

We had an incredible time on our wine tour! Our tour leader DJ was absolutely fantastic. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wineries and the region, but he also had a great sense of humor and made the entire day so much fun.

Educational, value for money fun My third wine tasting tour with Two Fat Blokes over the past decade and still remains an excellent day of education & fun paired with great wines. I was part of a group comprised of 3 Australians and 4 Britains. We started with Oakvale, on to Two Fat Blokes own & finished with First Creek. Excellent value & a must when visiting the Hunter Valley.

Had an amazing experience on our full day tour with Andy! We were very promptly picked up from our accommodation by Andy. He was very welcoming, funny and knowledgeable. We went to 5 fabulous wineries and a brewery. This also included a cheese and wine tasting, as well as a chocolate and wine tasting. One of the highlights was our grazing box for lunch provided by twofatblokes, the banana bread was especially delicious! Overall, our group of 8 had a wonderful day. Thank you twofatblokes, we would definitely recommend your service and thank you Andy for being a fabulous guide. Your passion for wine and the hunter region was evident.

Julz Our Driver was hilarious if you don’t have a sense of humour and don’t book this to tour! Our group was First shy and not really engaging but by the second winery we had to come Besties! Highly recommend this if you want to laugh all day and drink good wine

Loved this all day wine tasting tour just disappointed to be taken to a beer tasting place as the last port of call. It was rubbish!

A Fantastic Day in the Hunter Valley – Highly Recommended!

We had an incredible experience on our full-day wine tour in the Hunter Valley! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, enjoyable, and absolutely worth it.

Our tour guide, Julz, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of energy, making the day even more special. She provided great insights into the region’s history, vineyards, and wines, and ensured everyone in the group felt welcome. The wineries we visited were stunning, each offering a unique and delicious selection of wines. The scenery was breathtaking, and it was wonderful to relax and take it all in with such a lovely group of fellow travelers.

The entire experience was seamless, with plenty of time to taste, learn, and enjoy. The only part that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the beer tasting at the end—it was fine, just not really our thing.

In terms of feedback, while the grazing board provided was tasty, we felt that for the price of the tour, a hot lunch would have been more appropriate to keep guests fueled throughout the day. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a bottle of water provided in the van to stay hydrated between tastings.

That said, the tour itself was fantastic, and we would highly recommend this company to anyone visiting the Hunter region. If you love great wine, beautiful scenery, and a fun, well-organised experience, this tour is a must!

Caters for a younger, inexperienced clientele The trip was well organised but it wasn’t exactly a wine tour. Very little explanation was provided of the region and the wines. We only got a sommelier on the first vineyard. On the other two the driver was the one who poured us the wines. The selection of the wineries was also a bit odd. It seems like a tour for a younger, inexperienced clientele. I would not recommend it for wine connoisseurs

Wine experience with stay over. We loved this wine experience.
We had two nights accommodation with a full days tour the next day all in with the price.
After being picked up from hotel and taken to the two fat blokes place. We had great cheese and wine plus a great tutorial by Andy of the wines and why they paired so nicely with each cheese.
After visiting more vineyards , some paired with ice cream & chocolates, we had a beautiful boxed lunch. Then finishing off at a brewery.
To top it all off we were given a fantastic breakfast hamper for the next day. It was a fantastic deal and a great experience.

Great tasting! We were in Hunter Valley December 2024 and we did a Cheese & Wine Tasting at Two Fat Blokes. Of all the tastings we did that day the group thought Two Fat Blokes was the best!

We had a fabulous day on our half day vineyard tour. Our bus/tour driver was excellent. We visited 3 vineyards and tasted about 6 wines at each stop. A cheese and wine pairing at the first stop was fantastic. Very relaxed atmosphere, with very knowledgeable wine enthusiasts, who made us feel very welcome.

Had a wonderful tour with Glen on Sunday. Great wines, beautiful cheeses and fabulous lunch. Glen picked me up in his gorgeous new personal Mercedes and was so obliging - even went out of his way and got me a coffee; a source of amazing information. Even his dad jokes were entertaining. I was so hesitant about joining a group tour. But this was great. Highly recommended. Thank you Glen.

The Two Fat Blokes Wine Tour was excellent!! Visiting 4 wineries and a brewery to end off the day, you really feel like you are getting a great insight into wine country. Our favourite was definitely the first stop at two fat blokes with the cheese pairing, wine was great and the cheese accompaniments were delightful. We loved the opportunity to buy the cheeses as well. The provided lunch packs were fresh, tasty and plentiful.

Our tour guide Glen was fabulous, very easy going, friendly and humorous. He ensured we made the most of our experiences and was very helpful throughout the day.

We will definitely tour with Two Fat Blokes when we are back in the Hunter Region. Thank you so much!

He was awesome, lots of laughs, full of knowledge and great stories.
We went to some fantastic venues, including 'Wine Lab' that was my favourite with Nathan as our host there - great wholseome and homely venue - I'd enjoy spending more time with Nathan over some drinks.
All venues were well chosen and very suitable. Plenty of wine tastings and also some cheese and chocolate.

Such a great day from start to finish! We had such a great day on the full day wine tour over the weekend! The full day from start to finish was so enjoyable and packed full of lots of different things we especially liked the wine and cheese pairing in two fat blokes. Our lovely tour guide Andy picked us up from our accommodation and provided lots of fun and jokes throughout the entire day there was never a quiet moment. The wineries that we went to were all lovely and we really liked the fact that they were boutique made it more special if you wanted to buy a bottle knowing you wouldn’t be able to get it in your local bottle shop. It’s worth every penny you definitely get your value for money and we will definitely be back again. It was great to find a tour that picked you up direct from your accommodation also as we were staying on the outskirts of cessnock and were worried about how to get from place to place it took all the hassle out of the planning of the day.

Thoroughly enjoyable but probably a bit overwhelming for most My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour. We actually booked the midweek accommodation and tour package. Staying two nights at the Leisure Inn, which was OK but we would probably go for a place just a little more upmarket next time. Our host, Julz, was terrific. She has an incredibly extended Hunter Valley family with relatives involved in all aspects of the industry so she knows what she's talking about and kept us entertained the whole day. The tastings where all great but after lunch we were pretty sloshed so no real serious tasting occurred, just enjoying the experience. A special mention of Caitlin at Tempus Two wine/chocolate paring. Being pretty tipsy by then and listening to some of her interesting life experiences had our group in disbelief and fits of laughter (anyone who had her for their tasting will likely know what I mean). I definitely recommend a tour with Two Fat Blokes but, in hindsight, we would only do the half day as the full day is just a bit too much.

As a travel business owner I cannot recommend this tour enough. I did my research and booked with these guys and what a day, cheese and wine pairing, chocolate and wine pairing, really educational and Julez our driver made the tour, what a hoot and a laugh and she was able to bring the group all together and we finished with new friends..
many options for wine tours here and I’ve done a few before but can honestly say book these guys they just do it differently and make it such a memorable funny educational day !! Highly recommend

Two Fat Blokes are a great host to the Hunter Valley Wine Country. Julie our driver and tour guide was a local and quite knowledgeable about the area's history and their neighbours. I leaned quite a bit about wines and cheese at their venue plus visiting at least 5 other wine makers in the area, not to mention a craft brewery as well! I highly recommend the all day tour. It is excellent value for the money and the experience!

It's fun, interesting & great value Had a fabulous day, starting with pick up at our door, then cheese & wine pairing at 2 fat blokes site. Julie was our 'guide' & was funny, informative & accommodating. The other wineries we visited were friendly & fun. Lunch was totally delicious, & we got to spend a day with some interesting people :) Then transport back to accommodation. Would absolutely do it again.

A very fun, informative and engaging experience! We had a very fun and lively time with our tour group. My wife and I found it very easy to engage with the other participants whom we did not know. We forged new acquaintances and had a very thorough experience of the Hunter Valley wine areas thanks to our guide Julie. I found her to be knowledgeable and personable. I further feel that she is an asset to the organisation as she is local and knows quite a bit about the history of the area. Overall I found this to be a fantastic tour and would do this again with Two Fat Blokes again!

Half Day Tour Andy was our tour guide and was excellent on knowledge and facts on the Hunter Valley. We did the half day tour and tasted many different wines and cheeses from multiple Wineries. Lucky to have some great company on the bus from New Zealand and Andy took us home with great tunes from our respective countries which we all sang along too :-) Can highly recommend!
