The most picturesque time to see the wallabies and kangaroos on the beach at Cape Hillsborough is at sunrise. 

Our fully guided tour is with a friendly and knowledgeable Mackay local guide.

We arrive at the national park at dawn to catch a glimpse of the wallabies and kangaroos that come to the shoreline to feed on mangrove seed pods washed up by the tide. Spend time on the beach and take in all the beauty of the sunrise.

Our air-conditioned bus allows a comfortable adventure in a small group environment as we take you to explore the Cape Hillsborough National Park, where the rainforest meets the sea.

Please note: The wallabies and kangaroos at Cape Hillsborough are wild animals and are free to come and go as they wish, the number of animals on the beach varies daily. For safety reasons, please note that our tour does not permit babies and children requiring a car seat.

All prices are per person in AUD and include GST, National Park, and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park entry fees where applicable. Cancellations made less than 24hrs before departure will result in complete forfeiture of full price. We recommend you take out travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss of personal goods and the inability to travel due to weather. Customers should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard guests, we cannot be responsible for any damage, personal injury or loss due to the actions of passengers that are beyond our control.
