Lovely swims and wildlife A lovely day led by our guide Toby. The locations were beautiful with very enjoyable swims in the waterfall and at the lake. Toby had a good eye for spotting wildlife to help us tick some off our Australian wildlife list!

Good views, good music and good banter The best tour in Byron! Harry took us to all the best stops in Byron, bringing good banter and the best Spotify playlist of throwbacks. Every person on the bus had a brilliant day, would definitely recommend.

A reasonable day out A good day.
We were a family of 5, 2 adults, 3 kids (teenagers).
Three itinerary items -
Killian Falls, Lake Ainsworth, Broken Heads.

The stand up paddle boarding was good - but the reason 4 not 5 would be the number of paddle boards. A full full full bus (20 people) probably means more boards.

My second observation is this tour was shorter than advertised. We were collected at 1100 and finished at 1630.

Cost analysis, we paid $600NZD for a family of five. There was little commentary and because there were 20 plus it was easy to feel part of a pack rather than a group tour. 600/5/5hrs = $24 per hour per person.

Excellent customer service The re are two aspects to this review i wanted to highlight. Firstly the excellent customer service received when having to cancel the experience at late notice due to disrupted travel arrangements then the experience itself.

Were initially booked the event for early March but because of the cyclone threat our flight was cancelled and we couldnt get to Byron Bay. Harry stepped in and offered five alternative options including a full refund despite being less than the 48 hours the Ts & Cs list. We took advantage of the refund which was processed without fuss. Given this is a small local business and the cyclone had a massive effect on trade, this is exceptional customer service.

We were fortunate enough to be able to get to visit Byron Bay and rebooked the excursion., which proved to be a great decision.

We were picked up by Tom at our apartments before being taken to s range of locations to experience the area. The first was a fresh water pool below a waterfall which afforded a great swimming opportunity. Wonderful scenery leading to a great experience. We were then taken to a lake with a lovely small cafe offering great lunch options, including a discounted drink for those in the trip. After this they supplied a number of paddle boards for us all to try on the lake. Finally we went to a scenic trail by the sea which was lovely. Well worth the money, Tom was excellent as a host and the trip went really well

Amazing day out behind the bay!!! Me and my friends are on a tour and behind the bay is an activity that was booked for us. Harry was the most amazing host, full of information about the areas we visited and really made the most out of the day. He made it so fun and we were constantly laughing with him. He provided paddle boards for the lake which was so much fun with the group. He really made the trip enjoyable, joined in with us and took us to some amazing hidden spots. Would 100% book to go again with him!

Good tour, needed better organisation Had an amazing time on the behind the falls tour, we were taken to the most incredible places, and as someone without a car in Byron this really helped to see some spots that I otherwise would have missed. However due to scheduling conflicts the company had to push my tour start time back, they had texted us all the night before and told us it would be delayed by an hour. On the day, we showed up to the pick up spot an hour later, however we were still made to wait half an hour there, apparently due to traffic. Once we were picked up, the tour was incredible! And so smooth! Due to the tour being delayed twice, I was at risk of missing my flight that I had booked for later that night. I had been speaking to the tour organiser who allowed me to be taken to his house at the end of the tour in the bus to get a taxi to the airport as it was closer. Due to the lack of taxis I ended up sitting outside of the tour organisers house for 30 minutes, until I was finally able to get a taxi, due to this further delay I actually ended up missing my flight and having to rebook another. So all in all the tour was amazing and I recommend, however its organisations deffo could’ve been improved as it added unnecessary stress by me missing my flight and then having to rebook another. However if the tour hadn’t been delayed I would’ve had ample time to make my flight.

Amazing- highly recommended Luke is so friendly with everyone and made sure that we are looked after! We are a group of 4 friends, and we had so much fun! We even had a stop over over Frankie’s for gelato before going home. And even go beyond for bringing back my bucket hat that I left in the van. The best! will definitely recommend.

Best day! This trip was amazing, one of my best days out of the year I’ve been in Australia. The waterfall was stunning and the water was so nice. The whole day was just incredible, Luke was an amazing tour guide and really knowledgeable about the local area and the marine life. Best tour guide & tour experience on planet earth Harry's tour behind the bay was by far the highlight of my time in Byron. Byron is so beautiful and the city centre is a lot of fun but it all pales in comparison to Harry and his tour. I was picked up around 11 and for over 5 hours I was surrounded by friendly people who were all excitedly exploring hidden gems inland from Byron Bay. Harry knows so much about the places he took us and was sharing stories with us which helped to feel connected to the places we were going. I was laughing most of the day and if Harry had other tours I'd be doing them before I leave Byron. Anytime I come back, I'll be back doing Harry's tours. I honestly can't speak highly enough of them. I hope I find a Harry and his behind the bay tour everyplace I ever travel, that would be a dream come true. 1000% must do in Byron but please don't take my word for it, go check it out yourselves... I PROMISE you wont regret it.

Amazing! The tour was so much fun, we had a really fun day out! It was very refreshing to see the lesser known areas of Byron and go swimming in the tea tree lake. The water made my hair and skin feel so soft afterwards. Also huge shoutout to the tour guide Harry, he is so lovely and welcoming.

Breath-taking We throughly enjoyed our trip with Behind the Bay. Our tour guide Harry was so accommodating and a lovely person with a great wealth of knowledge of the local area. It was lovely to see the different areas of Byron that we wouldn’t have made it to otherwise without a car. The day was action-packed (but not too tiring!) and everywhere we visited took my breath away. Harry went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

A great day out!! The whole day was a wonderful experience, seeing sights you could only get to see with a guides local knowledge. Luke the man was our tour guide and he’s an amazing guy you could tell he loved the job. He was always the first in the water encouraging everyone else to get in with him. Leaving no one feeling left out. He went far out of his way to make our experience the best one possible and I’m so grateful for it, ever going an hour over schedule for us. Amazing - highly recommend Ryan was great and really welcoming. Although we were the oldest on the bus (late 50’s) the younger people were lovely and great fun.
Seeing parts of Byron we wouldn’t have was fantastic. A basic day but so chilled and no rushing!
Highly recommend for all ages although the route to the waterfall pool isn’t easy if you have any issues with walking due to slippery rocks. Don’t let that out you off tho you can view it from the platform! Swim in Ti Tree lake which is awesome and the secluded beach is stunning.

Byron Beauty Great trip with the group to see the local beauty of Mother Nature in the Byron area. From some short hikes, to waterfall and lake swimming and excellent guides that grew up in the area, it is an excellent way to spend a day…….Definitely recommend!

Adventurous Harry who plans and leads the tours is a great host. Such a friendly guy, with a great personality. It’s worth the money, as he takes you to some remote places that would be hard to get to or even find otherwise. Great places to eat and swim. The tea tree oil lake was so relaxing. Would recommend to anyone staying in Byron.

Great time Behind the Bay tour was definitely the highlight of my weeks trip! It gave me the chance to see other parts of Byron that I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. The beach views were insane and swimming by the waterfall was just amazing. Harry was so friendly and made everyone feel relaxed and at ease. He was very prepared with ponchos just in case it rained (thankfully it didn’t!) and was attentive to people’s requests. If you’re visiting Byron then I’d highly recommend this tour!

Feels like you're on tour with a good mate Harry really brought a personal, warm feel to the tour. Not only did he take you to less known but no less beautiful, places around the Byron area but he also took part in the activities with you.
Something about that was great, instead of just being lead to a location and then the tour guide standing by whilst you wander around, he showed you how to get the best views or enter the waterfall from the easiest access point. He was even able to point out some whales to us!
This really made it feel like you were on tour/ travelling around with a mate.

I would recommend to all people of all ages.

Great tour to explore off-beat Byron Did this tour today (8th March 2021). Harry is the owner/guide and goes great length at ensuring that his guest have a wonderful experience through out the day. This tour covers some of the beautiful locations outside the usual Byron Bay, touristy spots. Harry made sure that the tour is comfortable for all his guests - be it sharing information on the day before, on-time pick up from your location, and providing the optimum time to each location one visits on this tour. Special shout out to those who love to swim (there's one great simming spot at base of a beautiful falls, and another in a tee tree lake ). Lastly, a great choice of cafe when it comes to picking up the lunch for the day. Thanks for the good tour Harry!

Crystal Castle, Nimbin and Federal Day trip Harry was a lovely young man who was eager to give us free reign over our choices of places to visit. He took us where WE wanted to go but provided advice and his own experiences. Very flexible and easy going. Even though his vehicle had an unfortunate event the day before our booking, he made sure our tour was not cancelled.

Refreshing Experience The tour and sight seeing was amazing. Loved every moment of it. Harry is awesome and would be a great host for you to show you some hidden spots which you may not be aware of. I would definitely recommend to somebody who does not have their own vehicle.

My partner and I booked this experience because we did not have a car to get around and visit all the destinations, but looking back, even if we did have a car this experience would have still been value for money due to the many local insights and just general chat that Harry provides. By the end of the tour we left with a smile on our face and a new friend, we will always look back fondly on our time here because of this.

An Incredible Experience - a must do! This was on of the best tours I have ever been on!
