Starting the Adventure from Sydney:
The Coast Warriors Blue Mountains adventure commences with a simple downtown city pickup nearby Central Train Station (812 George Street Haymarket).
After everyone shuffles on the minibus we have an hour drive through some tunnels, motorways and western Sydney on our way to the Blue Mountains. Spend this hour to connect with your seat neighbours, chill out to the bus playlist or feeling a little tired then grab a bit of sleep.
As we enter the lower Blue Mountains we pull of the Great Western Highway and enter the local National Park to head over to a cool lookout where the bush of the lower Blue Mountains meets the suburbs of greater Sydney. In this part of the National Park we have a lovely little drive up and down some steep hills, through thick Eucalyptus bush, drive through a shallow river and sometimes we spot the occasional wallaby or kangaroo from the bus (rare).
About 10 minutes later we stop by Glenbrook which is the hometown of one of our awesome local guides who has put together this evolving awesome day trips itinerary. In Glenbrook we’ll stop for a short coffee/smoothie/chai latte, bathrooms, grab some take away brekkie. Glenny shops has lots of options all within a short stroll. Overnight oats, yoghurt cups, bacon & egg rolls, fruit, donut shop, vegetarian/vegan snacks and a small supermarket if you forgot your water or sunblock.
After our toilet & snacks stop we head further up the mountains climbing a further 800 meters in altitude over a 35 min drive. Be sure to grab a coffee as you are not allowed to sleep anymore. We often play a connecting game on this drive or get the interactive playlist going on the bus.
Secret lookout is next on the agenda. One of the highlights of the day. At this lookout you really do feel like you are standing on the edge of the world. This stop is a short and easy stroll from the bus, pretty much no hills. We spend enough time here to spread out and get amazing photos overlooking the huge Jamison Valley with Mt Solitary in the distance. This is where you will likely get that new profile picture….we see it lots ha ha. No fence here so please stay 2 meters from all edges.
Next we do a short drive over to Wenty Falls (Wentworth Falls) for our guided waterfall nature walk. This walk is amazing and we are so happy to be able to share its beauty with you. This bushwalk is a total of approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours. On this walk we have ongoing views through the gum tree into the vast valley with its distant light blue haze. We see multiple waterfalls and cascades including the big 187 meter waterfall. Keep your head low as we walk the Overcliff-Undercliff track. This walk is mostly moderate-easy however there is a difficult section of about 15 minutes returning up the steep stairs from the bottom of the large waterfall. It is optional to skip this and wait for the groups return (chat with your guide). Be sure to check our photos here or on Insta too coastwarriors
All that sightseeing, bush walking and waterfalls makes people hungry and LUNCH is on our minds. After we walk back up the Stairs Of Doom back to have our picnic lunch overlooking Jamison Valley. We do also cater for vegos, vegans, coeliacs etc. You are welcome to bring your own drinks of any kind to have with your lunch. Please be eco friendly and bring a water bottle that you may refill throughout the day. Generally lunch is a café made sandwich or chicken wrap. We grab dietary requests in the morning.
Rosie (bus name) powers further up the mountains to K’town (Katoomba) home of the famous Three Sisters rock formations – the iconic image of the Blue Mountains. We view the Three Ladies up close where your guide will inform you of their aboriginal significance. In the free time at this location you can walk round and take in the amazing views. There is a small cafe with coffee/tea/smoothie/ice cream/snacks here. Also a local jewellery shop, souvenir shop and toilets. We spend about 30+ mins at this location. This is a very busy and touristic location.
On our tour we often see Wild white cockatoos that move around the upper Blue Mountains area. These Sulphur-crested cockatoos love a good Insta photo and will come up close to you and sometimes even land on you….so many photos. If birds are not your thing feel free to walk over to the nearby waterfall instead.
Depending on the time and a check of return traffic we try to add in another lookout, often our favourite overlooks Megalong Valley. This is only on efficient days/groups. Variables can include parking issues, traffic issues, closed tracks, people not listening to the guides instructions regarding return times etc.
Returning Sydney:
Tour concludes at 812 George Street Haymarket about 5.20pm depending on traffic.
Upon return in Sydney, we often scatter for a warm shower in our accommodation. However we do recommend attending one of the nearby pubs together for a drink or a typical pub classic dinner. Great Southern Hotel is a 60 second walk. Dinner at Spice Alley could be worth Googling.
The drop off point is only minutes walk from central train/bus station, Chinatown and the beautiful Darling Harbour. The nearby Haymarket Light rail stop will take you back down the centre of the city through Town Hall, Wynyard to Circular Quay (Opera house & Harbour bridge). Tap on & off with your credit card or Apple/Google pay. This operates about every 5 mins.
Notes:- We know the Blue Mountains very well and offering the best day is our highest priority. The days itinerary may change due to weather conditions in the upper and lower mountains.

This trip is really well constructed, perfectly timed and super slick. A great way for a solo (or any) traveller to experience the amazing Blue Mountains
Seldom has a trip like this so over delivered, huge congratulations to the company and to Zac x
He made the trip fun and enjoyable and we made friends along the way. Varied mix of nationalities and ages but we all mucked in together. Lunch was much better than anticipated. The walk to the waterfall was tough lots of steep steps, but plenty of handrails and the dip in the waterfall and swim made it very worthwhile and worth the effort.
We visited wonderful places, some of them beyond expectations.
Our guide was proactive, with many stories throughout the trip and very funny.
Everything went according to the description. I recommend this trip, it's worth the money!
Visited January 05 , 2026 ✅🔝
He gave us great tips at each stop off.
The park itself is beautiful. We took the steps down to the Wentworth Falls base, the steps back up were tough so a certain fitness level is needed.
Would highly recommend this trip
It took about an hour to get got the blue mountains. Due to flooding some stops had to be changed but the guide was brilliant st keeping us uodated. When driving a quiz was held which helped us learn more about Australia. You work with other people which wasn’t as intimiating as I thought it would be. Most of the people on the tour were quite young so if you weren’t a back packer you might feel a bit out of place at first, but we had a good time and you had time to do what you wanted rather than always moving as a group.
Fortunately the rain held and were able to do the wentworth falls walk. The guide said it was steep and it was coming up, but there were hand rails to help you. It is worth the walk right to the bottom but if you didn’t feel comfortable, there was a point to stop. We got some great photos and the guide kindly offered to take several shots for us.
We went to the theee sisters and it was good to hear about the aboriginal story behind it, but sadly it was foggy so we couldn’t get a clear view.
Despite the weather, we had some good stops and when the fog cleared it was really good and an ideal way to see the blue mountains. We were dropped off at town hall at 5 pm which was ideal for us.
We really enjoyed the tour and it took us to the key places we wanted to see. We had time by ourselves and the lunch provided (a panini sandwich was lovely and substantial). In the morning we stopped for brekkie at Glenbrook at Elsie’s which was a lovely place for breakfast - good portion sizes and a decent price. Staff were incredibly friendly and even gave me a take away cup for the tea I couldn’t finish.
It was good value for money and although it seems to be favoured by back packers or younger travellers (20 year olds), the group we had were fine and when dropped off, you can do what you like.
Easy way to see the blue Mountains when you don't want to camp there. Impressive Landscape.
Our guide, Shan, did a fantastic job making the best of the day. She was enthusiastic, kept the group’s spirits up, and made great use of the time trying to find clearer views as the day progressed.
Overall, it was a valuable experience, and I hope to come back someday for the same tour when the weather is kinder! 😅😂
Our tour guide Kieran was very knowledgeable, organised and entertaining!
Highly recommended.
What made it even better was Shannon’s fun Aussie trivia during the drive as we were learning and laughing the whole way. The hike itself was stunning, with breathtaking views and peaceful trails. Having Shannon guide us through it made it feel personal and rich with meaning.
Highly recommend this experience and if you can, go with Shannon. She’s a gem! 💙⛰️🇦🇺
Absolutely sublime!
‼️ SPOILER ALERT (pictures below)
Our guide Shannon was great and made the day entertaining by adding in games for bus journey and giving small bits of information related to the mountains! Would 100% do it again and recommend to others. Views were just amazing. We were advised when the walk became very steep on the way to the waterfall and could sit out if wanted (Definitely take your time with this).
Deli roll for lunch was lovely too!
I had already booked another Blue Mountains trip with a different company, but I cancelled and rebooked with Coast Warriors because I preferred not only what they did include but what they didn't....and their whole approach to what they do.
Our guide, Tom, was not only knowledgeable but friendly and efficient, and throughout the trip he went out of his way to provide options, shepherd his guests, and take the time to engage with everyone on an individual basis and ensure that they were ok.
The tour took in stops at various spectacular viewpoints in the mountains, but the main event was a trek to the base of the Wentworth Falls. Pretty sure that at 66 I was the oldest and least fit of those taking part in this element of the tour, and I confess to wondering more than once whether I had bitten off more than I could chew in descending the hundreds of deep stone steps to the valley floor and then...of course....the inevitable climb back up to the top! It was challenging, and my calf muscles still haven't entirely forgiven me, but the tour description does spell out what is involved, and there were options for anyone who didn't wish to tackle it.
The generous sandwich lunch, included in the price of the tour, was another very welcome touch, as was Tom's detour on the trip home to find some kangaroos for us to photograph!
His quiz on Aussie slang on the bus was a useful ice-breaker. A guide can make or break a tour, and Tom is a natural. Heartily recommended.
Scottie was a great guide, everything was super seamless, would defo recommend

We were picked up on time at the agreed meeting point in a cute bus. Our guide Tom is very funny and told us a lot about Australia. On the two-hour drive we played a quiz with him. He gave us typical Australian words and phrases and we had to guess what they meant. The prize was Tim Tams. The viewpoints were all great and beautiful. We saw a lot of the Blue Mountains. Whenever we stopped somewhere, we had a bit of free time. The time was always well timed. Not too short and not too long.
We had a small sandwich for lunch. It was nothing special but enough. On the way to the Blue Mountains we also made a short stopover in a small town to get some breakfast and snacks. On the way back home we went looking for wild kangaroos and actually saw some. That was really great.
I can really recommend the tour.
Our lunch was joined by some lovely companions - the Sulphur-crested Cockatoos. The Aussie slang team game was fun and a good way to know our fellow travellers.
