What we do
- We’ll stop at Featherdale Wildlife
- We lead you to view though tea-tree forests, fern gullies, cave overhangs, and past a variety of lookouts to Wentworth Falls
- Shop and dine at the village of Leura (Free Time) or enjoy take-aways at Gordon Falls Park.
- Visit the Three Sisters lookout at Echo Point
- Exit the Blue Mountains via Cliff Drive with its views over Narrow Neck Plateau and the Megalong Valley
- Stretch those legs one more time to discover Cahills Lookout and Boars Head Lookout.
Our Blue Mountains small group tour includes Featherdale Wildlife Park which specializes in Australian native wildlife, a bushwalk or hike to waterfalls at Wentworth Falls, free time for lunch at Leura and the afternoon at Echo Point and Cahill’s Lookout. We see the Jamison Valley, the Three Sisters, Wentworth Falls, Boars Head, Cahill’s Lookout, and the Megalong Valley.
Get up close and personal with koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, cassowaries and other native Australian birds and animals. Featherdale Wildlife Park is a small park specializing in only Australian animals. It’s at the edge of Sydney and has been established for over 50 years.
At Wentworth Falls we hike though tea-tree forests, fern gullies, a rain forest section, cave overhangs, and past a variety of panoramic views of the Jamison Valley. The falls themselves are a delicate misty flow of water tumbling over three tiers of rocky outcrops.
For lunch, Leura Village offers charming cafes, restaurants and bakeries, we’ll stop and explore some of these and have a bite to eat, you may also take-away to the Gordon Falls picnic area with your guide.
We’ll drive through Katoomba then head on down to the Blue Mountains most famous lookout Echo Point which has the best close-up views of the Three Sisters. We have time to walk to the Three Sisters and to Honeymoon Bridge or relax at Echo Point and take in the scenery. There is the Blue Mountains Visitors Centre, a small shopping complex and Bar NSW where you may take in some refreshments before we depart.
We do not stop or recommend large touristy crowded attractions and rides on this tour and promote the real attraction of the natural wonders and society of the Blue Mountains. The walk requires a medium level of fitness, participants should be able to walk over uneven ground with some inclines and ascents. Your guide will be able to organize some alternative routes and shortcuts for those taking it easy. We assist people who may be unsteady or in need of rests along the way. We’ll also let others move on quicker with some extra tracks or more time at the falls or lookouts along the way.

Our day started with an on time pickup at our hotel in a very nice sprinter van. Our small group turned out to be two couples. We felt spoiled with lots of personal attention. Mark was incredibly knowledgeable sharing information about Australia , Sydney and the Blue Mountain region. Mark was a wealth of information and answered our non stop questions with ease. It was very obvious that he loves Australia and his job. Our schedule was dialed in perfectly and we never felt rushed. Mark gave us clear direction throughout the day helping us get everything in as well as answer our questions,. During the drives to and from Sydney, Mark gave us the fundamentals about Australia and how things have developed .
We highly recommend this tour and hope you get Mark as your guide.
We took a private Blue Mountains tour with Ben and can only highly recommend it! Everything was perfectly organized from the start - transfer, timing, and communication went smoothly. Ben proved to be an exceptionally sympathetic and competent guide who made our day truly special. Particularly impressive was his comprehensive knowledge of Australia: Ben has traveled throughout the entire country and can therefore share authentic stories and insider tips from his own experience.
Ben impressed us with his expertise about Australian wildlife. Particularly fascinating were his abilities to imitate bird calls - the animals actually responded to them! Ben also shared interesting information about the Aborigines and the history of the region with us, which gave the tour special depth.
His restaurant recommendations were all perfect. Ben was consistently helpful and accommodated our wishes throughout the day.
Unfortunately we had rain and mist all day but Mark worked so hard to ensure we had a great day. He is so knowledgeable and entertaining, he more than made up for the miserable weather.
The wildlife park was great and again Mark’s knowledge of the animals added to the experience.
Throughout the drive and the stops Mark shared his extensive knowledge of facts about the country, the geography, the animals, the history and the culture. His passion for the country, the culture and the wildlife was infectious.
It was a shame that we couldn’t experience the Blue Mountains in all their glory due to the rain and mist but Mark ensured that we stopped to admire the views wherever there was a break in the cloud.
We spoke to other tourists who had taken the cheaper alternative to take the train to the Blue Mountains and they agreed that their experience was no where near as good as ours. I would highly recommend this tour and if you lucky enough to get Mark as your guide then you won’t be disappointed.

Great day out despite the rain. Mark, our driver and guide was interesting and very knowledgeable about the animals, birds and locations. He was really well informed about the history of the area too.
We wore walking boots which proved a good choice on the day as there had been a lot of rain so the ground was very wet.
Thoroughly recommend this trip and if you get the chance ask for Mark by name.
Definitely recommend this tour and Mark!
Mark is a amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable about the city and the blue mountains and he's a nature lover so he knows a lot about the animals and plants too. Also he's a good driver which is what you need for sightseeing out of the city.
- Did the Blue Mountain tour
- Our tour guide Mark was very personable and full of interesting stories.
- Craig, the owner, is flexible and accommodating with booking the tour
- Tour was informative and enjoyable.
CONS:
- Mark is very passionate about what he does. However, keep the detailed explanations a bit shorter.
- On the way home, your guests are tired from a long day and may want to have a nap rather than commentary.

Well done Mark. I we shall recommend you to all Canadians we know.
Would give him 5 stars
The trip was perfect to spend the whole day. I appreciated the schedule being ahead of the crowds giving us first opportunity for uncrowded photos.
Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful guide Mark. Local knowledge and history about Sydney and Blue Mountains.
Recommendations on places and items to see, eat, drink.
Lunch orders phoned through early saved time, consequently more time for lingering through shops.
The tour started with a clean, well run wildlife park, followed by a full day of exploring and viewing the blue mountains from Wentworth Falls to the three sisters with lunch at Leura.
Fully recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a great snapshot of the Blue Mountains in a day.
Beautiful clean well maintained Mercedes van arrived on time driven by a very pleasant, safe driver Rebecca.
If anyone wants to visit Blue mountains on their trip to Sydney go with none other than this tour company. The owner Craig is a laid back guy with some awesome staff like Rebecca in his team.
They have both private and small group tours.
If you are booking a private tour ask for Rebecca as your driver and guide.
One our our best days in Australia.
Craig is great!, knowledgeable, easy going, just a super nice guy.
The Blue Mountain/Featherdale/Wentworth Falls tour is a must see.
The journey to and from the region passes quickly and the initial stop off at the Featherdale Wildlife Park was fun and a gentle warm up to the day’s activities.
The walk at Wentworth Falls was stunning as was the stops at the Three Sisters and many other spots throughout the afternoon. Lunch in the gorgeous town of Leura was also a highlight, and Craig gave lots of recommendations. I went for the wonderfully named Freudian Sip which had great coffee and a tasty quiche. Plus ice cream over in Josephsans and a quick visit to the quirky Tea museum made the 90 mins in Leura a pleasure.
The weather turned very dramatically and the rain led to Craig bringing us to a different lookout spot for the Three Sisters. However, the clouds parted, the rain stopped and the sun shone again within about an hour and we were back on track.
Arrived back into Sydney around 5.30pm, having left at 7.30am that morning. A great day out!
We had a move our itinerary around slightly on the day and Anthony was easy going and went above and beyond to help.
Would highly recommend to anybody looking to do a wine tour around the Hunter Valley.
The tour guide that we had was Ahmad and he is fantastic! Knowledgeable, funny and considerate. My mum doesn’t speak English and Ahmad still try his best to communicate with her and see if she needs anything. Me and my mum were very grateful for that.
If you are looking to go to blue mountains and do not want to travel with large group. I would definitely recommend Sydney Adventure Tours.
Featherdale Animal Park had some wonderful examples of animals native to Australia. It made me feel like a kid again. Had the animals literally eating out of my hand.
Our driver/tour guide, Ahmed, was terrific. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and funny. I would recommend this trip to anyone. So easy to get picked up and dropped off at my hotel.
