The Boat Mooloolaba – Public Cruise Terms & Conditions

We can’t wait to welcome you aboard The Boat Mooloolaba. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our Terms & Conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these conditions.

1. Bookings & Payment

• Full payment is required at the time of booking.
• Tickets are valid only for the specified cruise date and time purchased.

2. Departures

• All cruises are subject to suitable weather conditions and sufficient passenger numbers.
• Passengers must be at the departure point at least 15 minutes before departure. Late arrivals may not be able to board.
• Departure Point: The Boat Mooloolaba departs from The Wharf Mooloolaba, 123 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba. Our vessel is docked next to The Prawn Star, in front of The Dock.
• Parking: Parking at The Wharf may be limited, particularly on weekends and holidays. Please allow extra time to secure parking prior to your cruise.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations by The Boat: If we cancel a cruise due to weather, operational reasons, or insufficient numbers, you will be offered a full refund or the option to re-book on an alternative date.
• Cancellations by Guests:
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to departure incur a 100% cancellation fee.
  • No-shows on the day also attract a 100% cancellation fee.

4. Food & Beverages

• The Boat operates as a fully licensed venue with a selection of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails available.
• As per licensing regulations, BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• All food served on The Boat Mooloolaba is prepared off-site by trusted local partners and brought onboard for your enjoyment.
• These premises are solely responsible for the preparation of food. The Boat Mooloolaba accepts no liability for any issues, illnesses, or allergies arising from food consumed during the cruise.
• Guests are asked to advise us of any dietary requirements at the time of booking so we can pass this information on to our catering partners where possible.
• Please note: While we do our best to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that all requests can be met.

5. Behaviour & Safety

• Our priority is the safety and comfort of all guests, crew, and the vessel. The Skipper has full discretion to:
  • Terminate the cruise at any time if behaviour poses a risk of harm or damage.
  • Refuse boarding to any guest who is visibly intoxicated prior to departure.
  • Dock the vessel and remove any guest who becomes unduly intoxicated during the cruise.
• Guests are expected to consume alcohol responsibly and behave respectfully towards the crew, vessel, fellow passengers, other waterway users, and the surrounding waterfront community.

6. Children & Supervision

• Children aged 15 years+ are welcome onboard but must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

7. Facilities & Music

• A bathroom is available onboard for your convenience.

8. Identification

• If you appear under 25, a valid photo ID is required to be served alcohol onboard.
• Digital IDs must be accompanied by a secondary form of identification.

9. Refusal of Entry or Removal from Vessel

The crew reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest engaging in the following:

• Intoxication (or likely intoxication) from alcohol or drugs.
• Loud, unruly, or antisocial behaviour.
• Use of illicit substances.
• Disrespect towards the vessel, crew, or fellow guests.

10. Liability & Consent

• Filming & Photography: The Boat Mooloolaba may film or photograph events for promotional or security purposes. By attending, you consent to the use of your name, likeness, or voice in marketing or archival content.
• Passenger Risk: All passengers travel at their own risk.
• Liability: Mooloolaba Boat Co Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred while boarding, onboard, or disembarking.
• Acceptance: By attending, guests accept and agree to all terms outlined herein.
