Oh, they do get booked quickly so book as soon as you can, even if it's a few days before.

Amazing experience!!! Great boat with comfortable seats, sea sickness tablets offered at start but boat felt very stable whole time! Able to get up and stand by side to watch whales so everyone had great view! Skipper very helpful and gave a lot of whale facts! Saw a pod of dolphins at start and then followed two very active whales that were constantly breaching!! Had the luck of seeing a calf with its mother at the end! Would recommend 10/10

Must do! WOW! Amazing experience. Would not have missed this for the world! Full on breaches, tail slapping and fin slapping whilst doing back stroke! It was all there. Simply wonderful!

A wonderful experience The whale watching tour was excellent We saw at least 8 whales including a mother and her calf. It was a wonderful experience to view the whales breeching, slapping their tails and waving their fins. The crew were great including the commentary on the whales behavior. I would highly recommend.

Whale Watching Gold coast Absolutely fabulous. Very organized and professional with safety talk etc. The adventure was great and driver knowledgeable but did a great job to find us whales and then one whale which was on steroids breach and doing repeated rolling with jumps and whale who waves its pectoral fin. Amazing and I loved the smaller size of the boat and music. I loved going fast on the water, the bumps and getting out to sea quicker so maximal time with the whales.

Although the season was off, I decided to use the chance to join whale catching cruises which really worth it. The weather was good and it didn’t feel sea sick by the waves. It still feels quite cold so jacket and hat were recommended. The caption took us to several group whales. In the end, the view, the journey were a must go experience!

We had a fantastic whale watching experience with Kokomo Cruises. The boat is fast which adds to the thrill and we saw plenty of whales including a super pod of five. We stayed in the same spot and just let the whales do their thing rather than following them to get closer. Sometimes they came very close to the boat. Nic provided some great commentary while we watched them.

READ BEFORE BOOKING:

This is a fast boat and if the water is a bit choppy, there will be some bumps. It's extremely safe but if you want a more leisurely cruise, book with a company that operate a bigger vessel. Do not expect the crew to slow down because it's too fast for you! And don't be a hero and not take sea sickness tablets because you don't think you need them. If the crew offer them to you, take them! Or bring your own.

The boat was beautiful, modern, and perfect for viewing the whales. With only around 40 passengers, it felt intimate and never overcrowded, giving everyone a great view. More whales than you can poke a stick at We have been on a few whale watching tours but this was the best by far. Not only did we see so many whales and so close to the boat but the boat itself was better than expected. It was very new and smaller than the other operators so everyone had a good view, it wasn't packed with people like the others we saw. The ride itself was exciting and fast as well as being comfortable. Top marks to the team

I can't think of anything Kokomo could do better! Our whale watching experience was great all-round, and the workers were wonderful. Very considerate, great at letting everyone know what to expect as we went along, confident and friendly. I enjoyed listening to their patter in the background, giving lots of interesting and relevant facts about the whales. And just the right amount of talking - it really enhanced the experience.

I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone considering a whale watching cruise.

Awesome tour, we tracked alongside 2 Humpbacks (plus some Dolphins) for a good 1.5 hours on our 8:30am tour this week.

Kokomo's boat is spotless, comfy and perfectly sized with great views. And with triple Yamaha 450's it goes nicely too ;-). Glad we chose Kokomo

Most amazing time on the water with Kokomo Cruises, the whales 🐋 definitely put on a show for us! And our boat was definitely the whale magnet, they were so close we could almost touch them! A fabulous boat and team. As it was lower to the water we were right amongst the action. The boat was also sparkling clean and we felt very safe with our knowledgeable guide and skipper Nick and his second mate. Would definitely recommend and come aboard next time I'm in Queensland.

We had a wonderful humpback whale watching trip with Nick and Sienna. We were lucky enough to spend around one and a half hours observing this magnificent mammal from a safe distance. We witnessed multiple breaches by the whale and numerous sightings as it moved in random directions as it migrated north. We even had the pleasure of seeing some dolphins swim alongside the whale and our boat. Nick was an excellent skipper and very knowledgeable about the whales. He was really interesting to listen to. Loved this trip and so glad we chose to go with a smaller boat. The boat itself is new and a pleasure to travel in. Loved this trip.

Chicago of the south pacific Queensland's gold coast in overcrowded, scruffy and overrated. So many better places to holiday in Australia. Lots of hi rise buildings--no longer a holiday town the Gold Coast has become just another big city.

I joined this whale watching tour back in September but just got around to writing this review — and I have to say, it was an amazing experience!

At first, I was a bit worried about getting seasick since the boat was quite small, but I’m so glad I decided to go with this tour. Because the boat was small, it felt very private and cozy. I could walk around freely to watch the whales from any side — no crowds, no one blocking the view.

When the whales appeared and started swimming from one side to another, everyone on board could easily see them up close. It was such a wonderful and worthwhile experience!

My family and I absolutely loved Kokomo cruises! I’ve been on other whale watching cruises in Gold Coast and this one was by far the best. I loved that it was a smaller boat as it felt more intimate and less touristy. The guide also did an amazing job at sharing facts and made the cruise so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

As a family we wanted to do one special thing while on holiday and we selected a whale watching cruise with Kokomo Cruises - we’re so glad we did. While every seat was taken, the boat was beautiful and such a clever design so everyone could easily see the whales and their antics. Incredible whale watching experience We had the most incredible experience whale watching with Kokomo Cruises on the Gold Coast! From the moment we boarded, the crew made us feel welcome. The boat was spacious, comfortable, and offered fantastic viewing spots from every angle.

Within no time we were out on the water and surrounded by whales – breaching, tail slapping, and even coming right up close to the boat. It was such a magical experience, and the crew’s knowledge and commentary made it even more special. You could tell they genuinely care about the whales and about giving everyone on board the best possible time.

Fantastic whale watching experience We had a fantastic time whale watching, saw several pods of Humpbacks including a mother and calf. Nick was really knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. Boat itself was just the right size to give everyone a good view and a great overall experience.

Fabulous Experience - Highly recommended. We saw whales, a sea-snake, Hammerhead Shark, Turtles and a Seahorse. Very professional and the boat was not crowded. 360 degree view of whales. Knowledgeable Skipper with interesting commentary. Saw a pod of 3 whales within 5 minutes and they stayed with the boat a LONG time while we drifted - extremely close, which meant great photos. Also saw
several other groups of whales including a mother and calf, and a sea-snake, hammerhead shark, turtles and a seahorse. Ideal weather conditions: 8:30am trip.

An amazing experience and an amazing crew both onshore and on the boat accommodating my heavily pregnant wife. Always a great day out even with less than ideal weather - highly recommend for an up close and personal whale experience on the Gold Coast!

This is the second time I’ve been on a tour with Kokomo & they just never disappoint.

The experience was truly magical Rain or Shine & they created memories for me and my visiting family that will last forever.

When you’re stopped looking at this beautiful animals, you’ll notice a few extra boats will join to look, Kokomo always seem to keep it a “private experience” finding new pods of whales where there’s no one else - just adds a little bit more sparkle.

The knowledge known by nick is truly fantastic & me and the whole family learnt a lot… actually been testing eachothers whale knowledge.

Also. Yes!! Guilty nearly the whole family got sea sick but we were taken care off to the best of their ability & made we still were able to enjoy the experience.

Absolutely amazing morning with Nick and the crew on-board. Loved the comments and the trip with music. The boat is brand new, seats are comfy and we can hear everything the captain says. Small-ish boat with heaps of space for everyone to see, not overcrowded boat.
We got to see 2 whales and followed them for about an hour, super close.

Absolutely incredible! I wish I could give more stars! ✨️ Nic and Charlie were wonderful and we had the best time aboard. We booked for a 2 hour cruise and used the recommended caterer. The boat was brand new and so clean and premium, there were lots of seats for everyone, the music and sound system was great and the tour around the canals was perfect. 10/10 for the overall hospitality and experience and for a great price. Could not recommend more! We will definitely book again!

Best whale watching cruise in Gold Coast. Best Crew, friendly, hospitable and even takes photos for their customers. I Booked it last minute/a night before, and it showed me the number of availability and it’s really affordable. I checked a lot of cruises around Brisbane and Gold Coast, I wanted a more private, small number of people on cruise and didn’t want big crowd and something that’s affordable. Plus, we saw lots of dolphins putting a show for us. So Kokomo Cruises was perfect for me and my relatives that were visiting from US. They had a blast and enjoyed it so much. I will surely book again next whale watching season. Will surely try the sunset cruise too.Thanks Kokomo cruises for an unforgettable moment.

This is my second time going on a whale watching cruise. I had very low expectations after not seeing any whales last time with another company.
Kokomo cruises did their very best to give us a wonderful experience. It was so majestic to see the beautiful humpback whales. We were lucky enough to see a mum and baby whale travelling together. Very knowledgeable crew members, shared a lot of information while we waited for the whales to come up.
I really wanted to see the whales doing a breach jump. Hopefully next time.

AMAZING!!! Amazing boat, smaller in capacity so you received a more boutique experience. Nick and Francesca were amazing from the moment we boarded until we disembarked taking care of us and making sure the kids were ok. Even helped with a little booking issue we made which helped us out and added to the experience. Love the operator and will be telling all about them and just ask don’t look anywhere else this is the perfect team!!!!

The boat was perfect - we looked at the other crowded ones inc Seaworld and were so glad we when this way. Respectful of whales and knowledgeable skipper and assistant. Lovely energy and perfect experience. Even gave my daughter bag for her nausea and helped us with sunscreen we forgot. I don’t write these often but on this occasion - can’t recommend enough!

An incredible experience today with the crew, we came across a mummy and baby Hump back and the best bit was the mother showed signs of moving away to protect her baby and the crew respected that and her and didn’t pursue her. I just loved that!!!! These are wild creatures and should be respected and adored from a distance. We were also fortunate enough to see a hammerhead shark, a turtle and another female hump back whale. Cannot recommend this trip enough - in very rough waters they were amazing and very attentive!

What an experience and definitely worth every cent!!
From start to finish, myself and Hubby thoroughly enjoyed our day. We were advised that the front of the boat could be bumpier with a chance of splashing. It was and it did 😄. This only added to the trip for us.
We were out and coasting when the whales graced us with their presence. Well, we couldn't have asked for more. The whale breached and jumped. It used its tail and fin to slap the water. We had definately found a playful dude and our crew stayed around and followed this wonderful animal for a significant amount of time to get the best photo ops..
They were incredibly knowledgeable. Even managing to track a mum and calf on our journey back.
The boat was safe and comfortable.
I would not hesitate in recommending this amazing trip and would give it more stars if I could.

The whale watching tour with Kokomo was simply amazing! The captain (and guide) provided interesting and fun facts about the whales throughout the tour and was able to lead us directly to multiple pods. The boat ride itself was also very fun and enough time was given to spot these beautiful animals. Highly recommend this family owned tour!

We had a brilliant morning last week with Kokomo Cruises. Such an informative and lovely crew. Beautiful clean boat and the perfect size so we could move around easily without it being overcrowded. We saw a couple of different pods of whales and dolphins and felt very lucky to witness them at play. Highly recommend.. 🐋
