Embark on an unforgettable 16km cruise aboard CB01 to a world-class oyster farm surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters. Along the journey, you will experience the pristine beauty of the Coffin Bay coastline, taking in stunning views of secluded islands, pillowy beaches, and playful pods of dolphins swimming alongside the vessel (sightings cannot be guaranteed but are highly likely). 🐬
Wade and Shuck in Paradise
Once we arrive, you will discover the vastness of these prime growing oyster farms. Now is your opportunity to pull on a pair of provided waders and step straight into the water to explore the oyster beds up close at your own leisure! After wading, retreat to the boat to indulge in freshly shucked oysters, which can be paired with a selection of local beverages available for purchase. 🦪
Learn from a Local Legend
While you relax, your host—a veteran oyster farmer—will share the fascinating history of the region, teach you how to shuck like a pro, and provide an update on the community-based Angasi Reef Restoration Project. Before returning, we will cruise past the Coffin Bay National Park to Brother’s Islands, famous for its resident seal colonies (sightings cannot be guaranteed but are highly likely). 🦭
Important Tour Information
- Minimum Numbers: We require a minimum of 4 people for this tour to operate. At the time of your booking, you will be notified whether minimum numbers have been met. If minimum numbers have not been met, you will be notified once they have. Alternatively, you will be notified that minimum numbers have not been met & the tour will not be proceeding (this scenario is unlikely however if it occurs you will be issued a full refund or you will have the option to move your booking to an alternate date).
- Check-in: Tour check-in time is strictly 15 minutes prior to your tour start time at the boat at berth 5 Coffin Bay Yacht Club floating jetty. The boat departs at the tour start time, so please do not be late as we cannot wait.
- Tides & Weather: If a high tide or poor weather conditions prevent us from wading at the oyster lease, the wading experience will take place at Kellidie Bay, a stunning secluded beach engulfed with turquoise waters.
- Tour Duration: Duration is an approximate only, depending on passenger numbers and weather conditions.
- What to Bring: We recommend packing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a towel, a camera, and bathers. The weather can turn quickly on the water, so we always advise bringing a warm jacket and beanie.
- Minors: Children must be strictly supervised by their parents at all times. Infants not paying for a seat must sit on your lap during busy times. We recommend bringing a quiet activity (like an iPad with headphones) or snacks for the 20-30 minute educational talk.
- Wading: In the event there are unforeseen circumstances & we cannot proceed with the wading experience you will be issued a 25% off discount code that can be used on a future booking. Please note that children under 130cm in height will not fit into our waders and will need to bring bathers to enjoy the water.
- Public Holiday Surcharge: A 15% surcharge applies on Public Holidays to cover award rates for our hardworking crew.

As this is a boat tour, please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. It can turn cold quickly, so a warm jacket and beanie is advisable. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera should be on your list of things to bring, along with shoes that can get wet if splashed.
Departure & Parking Details
- Departure Point: The tour will depart from the Coffin Bay Yacht Club floating jetty, Berth No. 5 on the left-hand side.
- Parking: Parking is available behind the Yacht Club building (from August 2026 onwards, carpark repairs are underway, so you will need to park at the jetty carpark, on the Esplanade, or on side streets).
- Check-in: Please do not wait at the departure point sign, as check-in is at the boat. Make your way down to the boat for boarding and check-in 15 minutes before the tour start time. The departure sign is only so you know you are at the right place. The boat will depart at the tour start time; unfortunately, we cannot wait for late passengers. We recommend arriving at the Coffin Bay Yacht Club 30 minutes prior to park your car, gather your personal items, and find the location of the boat.
- Yacht Club Notice: Please note that the Coffin Bay Yacht Club is not part of our business. Check-in for your tour with us is at our boat at Berth No. 5.
Food Safety Guidelines
Unfortunately, the food safety guidelines do not allow any oysters to be taken with you at the end of our tour for later consumption. Please only book for the oysters that you think you are happy to consume during the tour.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions
The weather and sea conditions can sometimes require us to run a shorter tour in place of those scheduled. Whilst we understand this can be disappointing for some passengers, this decision is always made with passenger comfort and safety in mind. Tidal conditions can also impact our tour. Rest assured, if we can conduct the tour on which you have booked we will do so. Changes are only made when required, however sometimes need to be made at short notice or even mid tour, your understanding is appreciated.
Child Policy
- Children strictly supervised by their parents as part of this tour
- Children who have not paid for a seat at busy times when tours are full will be required to sit on their parents lap. If you do not wish for this to happen then please book and pay for them as a child and they will have seating space for themselves
Special Offers & Inclusions
- Only 2 dozen oysters provide in the special offer to be shared between the 2 Adults and 2 Children. Not 1 dozen each.
- Experience Coffin Bay Oyster Farm and Bay Tours will include 1 dozen oysters per paying person.
Cancellations & Bookings
We require a minimum of 4 persons for this tour to go ahead.
Tours will be cancelled if the weather is unsuitable. Experience Coffin Bay reserves the right to offer an alternate date if the trip is cancelled by us or will offer a full refund on a case-by-case basis. The wading experience is tide dependent; if the tide is not suitable, we will offer a beach wading experience as an alternative for your safety. Bookings are not confirmed until the payment is received from the customer (customer-participant on the tour). The cancellation policy applies to all clients (client – the person who booked and confirms the booking with Experience Coffin Bay).
- No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, or in the case of a no-show.
- A cancellation fee of 20% applies for cancellations made less than 14 days in advance.
- A full refund is provided if cancellations are made more than 14 days in advance.
Wildlife & Onboard Facilities
We do not guarantee seals or dolphins will appear each trip.
Our new tour boat is specially built for your comfort and this includes a toilet, but it can only be accessed by two steps down into it with handrails for assistance if required. Please be mindful when using this toilet as it is a marine toilet and very sensitive to what is placed in it. Nothing but toilet paper provided can be put in the toilet. The marine toilet has a plastic crunching mechanism that can only break up marine-grade toilet paper and nothing else. A blockage from incorrect items placed in the toilet takes a whole day to unblock and makes for a very, very grumpy crew and skipper. Please ask crew for instructions of how to use before entering.
