A Scenic Coastal Journey
As we cruise along the pristine Coffin Bay coastline, soak in spectacular views of secluded islands and pillowy sandy beaches. Keep your eyes peeled for playful pods of dolphins riding the bow waves alongside our vessel (sightings are highly likely but cannot be guaranteed).
Wade Among the Oyster Beds
Once we arrive at the prime growing oyster farms, you will have the exclusive opportunity to step into the water and wade among the oyster beds! We provide comfortable waders so you can fully immerse yourself in this unique marine environment and explore the farm up close at your own leisure. 🦪
Fresh Shucking and Local Flavours
After your wading adventure, retreat to the comfort of the boat to indulge in freshly shucked oysters. Pair these delicacies with a selection of premium local beverages available for purchase. As you relax, your host—a veteran oyster farmer—will share the fascinating history of Coffin Bay oyster farming, teach you how to shuck like a pro, and provide an update on the community-led Angasi Reef Restoration Project.
Encounter Local Wildlife
Before returning, we cruise past the Coffin Bay National Park to Brother’s Islands, famous for its resident herds of fur seals lazing on the remote rocks (sightings are highly likely but cannot be guaranteed). 🦭 Enjoy a peaceful journey back to the Coffin Bay marina as you reflect on a truly magical day on the water.
Important Tour Information
- Minimum Numbers: We require a minimum of 4 people for this tour to operate. If minimum numbers are not met, you will be notified and the tour will not proceed (in this unlikely scenario, you will be issued a full refund or have the option to move your booking to an alternate date).
- Check-in: Please arrive strictly 15 minutes prior to your tour start time at berth 5, Coffin Bay Yacht Club floating jetty. The boat departs on time and cannot wait for late arrivals.
- Tides & Weather: If high tides or weather prevent wading at the main lease, the wading experience will take place at Kellidie Bay, a stunning secluded beach with turquoise waters.
- What to Bring: Pack sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a towel, a camera, and bathers. Weather can change quickly on the water, so we highly recommend bringing a warm jacket and beanie.
- Minors: Children must be strictly supervised. Infants not paying for a seat must sit on a lap during busy times. We recommend bringing a quiet activity (like an iPad with headphones) or snacks to keep little ones entertained during the 20-30 minute educational talk.
- Wading Guidelines: In the event of unforeseen circumstances preventing wading, you will be issued a 25% off discount code that can be used on a future booking. Children under 130cm will not fit our waders and should bring bathers to enjoy the water.
- Public Holiday Surcharge: A 15% surcharge on Public Holidays applies to help cover award rates for our dedicated crew.

As this is a boat tour please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. It can turn cold quickly so a warm jacket and beanie is advisable. Sunscreen, sunglasses and camera should be on your list of things to bring. Shoes that can get wet if splashed etc.
Departure & Parking Information
- THE TOUR WILL DEPART FROM THE COFFIN BAY YACHT CLUB FLOATING JETTY BERTH NO 5 ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE.
- PARKING IS AVAILABLE BEHIND THE YACHT CLUB BUILDING. (August 2026 onwards carpark repairs underway so will need to park at jetty carpark or on the Esplanade or side streets)
- PLEASE DO NOT WAIT AT THE DEPARTURE POINT SIGN AS CHECK IN IS AT THE BOAT SO MAKE YOUR WAY DOWN TO THE BOAT FOR BOARDING AND CHECK IN 15 MINS BEFORE TOUR START TIME. THE DEPARTURE SIGN IS ONLY SO YOU KNOW YOU ARE AT THE RIGHT PLACE. THE BOAT WILL DEPART AT THE TOUR START TIME, UNFORTUNATELY WE CAN NOT WAIT FOR LATE PASSENGERS.
- WE RECOMMEND ARRIVING TO COFFIN BAY YACHT CLUB 30 MINS PRIOR TO PARK YOUR CAR, GATHER YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS AND FIND THE LOCATION OF THE BOAT FOR BOARDING AND CHECKIN 15 MINS PRIOR TO TOUR START TIME.
- PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COFFIN BAY YACHT CLUB IS NOT PART OF OUR BUSINESS, CHECK IN FOR YOUR TOUR WITH US IS AT OUR BOAT AT BERTH NO 5.
Food Safety Guidelines
Unfortunately the food safety guidelines do not allow any oysters to be taken with you at the end of our tour for later consumption. Please only book for the oysters that you think you are happy to consume during the tour.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The weather and sea conditions can sometime require us to run a shorter tour in place of those scheduled. Whilst we understand this can be disappointing for some passengers, this decision is always made with passenger comfort and safety in mind. Tidal conditions can also impact our tour. Rest assured, if we can conduct the tour on which you have booked we will do so. Changes are only made when required, however sometimes need to be made at short notice or even mid tour, your understanding is appreciated.
Child Supervision & Seating
- Children strictly supervised by their parents as part of this tour
- Children who have not paid for a seat at busy times when tours are full will be required to sit on their parents lap. If you do not wish for this to happen then please book and pay for them as a child and they will have seating space for themselves
Minimum Numbers & Weather Cancellations
We require a minimum of 4 persons for this tour to go ahead.
Tours will be cancelled if the weather is unsuitable. Experience Coffin Bay reserves the right to offer an alternate date if the trip is cancelled by us or will offer a full refund on a case-by-case basis. Bookings are not confirmed until the payment is received from the customer (customer-participant on the tour). Cancellation policy applies to all clients (client – the person who booked and confirms the booking with Experience Coffin Bay).
Cancellation Policy
- No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, or in the case of no show.
- A cancellation fee of 20% applies for cancellations made less than 14 days in advance.
- A full refund if cancellations are made more than 14 days in advance.
Wildlife Sightings
Experience Coffin Bay Oyster Farm and Bay Tours will include. We do not guarantee seals or dolphins will appear each trip.
Onboard Facilities
Our new tour boat is specially built for your comfort and this includes a toilet but it can only be accessed by two steps down into it with hand rails for assistance if required. Please be mindful when using this toilet as it is a marine toilet and very sensitive to what is placed in it. Nothing but toilet paper provided can be put in the toilet. The marine toilet has a plastic crunching mechanism that can only break up marine grade toilet paper and nothing else. A blockage from incorrect items placed in the toilet takes a whole day to unblock and makes for a very very grumpy crew and skipper. Please ask crew for instructions of how to use before entering.
