Amazing Trip!! I had an amazing trip with Dale. Everything was fantastic, thank you.

Great day trip with a reputable company What a fantastic experience this coach tour was. All my concerns about possibly being on a big tour coach were eased when I saw the medium sized bus taking us to Cradle Mountain. Yes, I visited in winter so the difference might be summer time when it's busier. Nevertheless, there was just myself and an Australian family of 5. Dale, our driver and guide, was an experienced, friendly local. And a very competent and safe driver. We had a few interesting stops on the way there and back. All with adequate time to explore and relax. That was really appreciated. Sadly, Cradle Mountain was mostly under a cloud, and it was rainy in the national park. But it can be like this at any time. Also appreciated was the hot tea/coffee and biscuits in the shelter at Cradle Mountain. Lots of wildlife to see as well, and sometimes we could get up a little closer. Couldn't fault anything about this experience. Even when I had issues with changing my booking the administrative staff on the phone were so helpful and patient. And there was no fuss or bother.

Excellent Tour! We had a really great experience on the Cradle Mountain Day Tour! Dale our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The lunch provided was very generous and tasty! The stops were very interesting and picturesque - enough time for us to explore. We went as a couple but we felt like it would have been good for families too! Highly recommend 😁

Cradle Mountain with Dale Dale was an excellent Tour Guide, he had a good sense of humour which made the trip exceptional. He was very informative and was happy to answer all questions fired at him. The tour itself was amazing and the day I went we could actually see the baby in the cradle - we were lucky we had such a beautiful day to experience all the wonders of this gorgeous place. I would highly recommend this tour.

Raining Again Argh, Cradle Mountain rains most of the year and we kept up the tradition of a wet arse but the tour one of the best tours we can ask for we were lucky to go with one of the best guides we have been with a great company. The day was unlucky with the weather, But Ben made the trip with love, knowledge of the area, history. Although we saw the Mountain and Lake with water dripping off our noses, we could see the beauty around us. On the return trip he stopped at Weindorfer forest to get to see when it is raining the moss and other plant life come alive. We were lucky to see a Wombat feeding beside the road within five metres of the small bus. All i can say rain does not always mean a bad day.

Spectacular views, informative helpful guide. Great experience. Great small group tour and our guide Alan was so friendly, informative and supportive especially to me who would not have walked all the walks on the day without his help. Went above and beyond to ensure we all had a memorable experience. Views and walks were something to remember for a long time.

Cradle mountain bus trip Unfortunately the weather was not the best. However I felt that the lunch was a little mediocre, and the tour could have had a little more substance for the price.

Cradle mountain The trip was very good, guide was excellent, lunch was average. The trip probably could be shortened.

A highly recommended tour We thouroughly enjoyd the trip, the commentary onboard from Bill our tour guide about the history of towns we tavelled through was very informtive, his depth of knoweledge about the establishment of the Cradle Mountain area and his overall general knoweledge of early Tasmania was excellent.
Make sure to take a rain jacket as the weather is very cool and changeable at Cradle Mt. and wear comfy walking shoes.
A Sandwich Lunch wrap was provided it was made freshly on the day, along with a cake slice, Apple and bottle of water. There are also plenty of stops to purchase other snack items.
We want to thank Dale our driver and Bill or an excellent day.

Beautiful day with McDermott tours Steve was an excellent coach driver and tour guide. Kaylee was my Dove Lake guide. We had such a nice time, she is well versed on the fauna and terrain. Seen Tiger snake, wombats and Enchida. Stopped a a delicious honey shop in the way back. Cradle Mountain honey is the bomb.

Excellent The tour gives us sufficient time to look around and the driver is very friendly and informative. He also gave us a bus tour around the historic buildings of Launceston.

Visit Cradle Mountain Cradle Mountain National Park was wonderful. Ben our guide & David our driver are passionate ambassadors for the areas we visited. We experienced a wonderful day overall.

Not to be missed I have just had a lovely day out on this tour. David was an excellent Guide who was so knowledgeable not only about the places we visited - but all things Tasmania - I learnt so much. First stop was to Sheffield - the mural town for sightseeing and David yo pick up a pre selected included pack lunch for us all from a delightful bakery. Then onto the Cradle Mountain National park. We had ample time to visit the main area and home of Gustav and Kate Weindorpher. David gave us such a great insight into their lives, achievements and legacy

Exceptional! A perfectly organised day trip. Full credit to Steve and Ben for an enjoyable day for the bigger group. I was in a smaller group that had a fantastic walk around Dove Lake with Rob - definitely a great way to see it and because you a walking the whole way you see all of the different environments, including the small beaches and rainforest as well as the changing light on the mountains and lake. Not to mention a good way to get beyond the crowds on a busy sunny summer’s day. Rob’s really informed and interesting discussion on the plants, trees, mountains and history really added an extra dimension. First rate!

Memorable day in a magic location Fabulous day tour. Informative and fun. Food was great. Excellent value for money. Hotel pick up was so easy. The walks were perfect for us with a moderate level of fitness. Scenery incredible. Booking process easy.
Steve and Ronnie were so obliging to help my partner spring a surprise marriage proposal at Dove Lake on my birthday! They took great photos! Thanks McDermott's for making our day so memorable.

Happy experience I never give 5 as people can’t improve he did a great job as driver and host had plenty of information and also said needs to study up more as to things to cover with Cradel mountain

On you Macca We loved to hear the Gustav & Kate’s challenges and to hear the final moments. Sheffield stops were the best but would have liked to spend a bit more time at the Ranger’s office to look at the old photos and album.

Really enjoyed Wilhelm cottage.

Macca (driver and guide) was AMAZING, but needs to work a bit on his jokes & get his “botany” sorted

Worth the visit! A great day, despite the rain. Beautiful scenery and wildlife we managed to spot wild wombats! Our tour guide Steve was fabulous - friendly and informative. Would highly recommend this tour company.

Cradle Mountain Magic Four of us went on this tour on 25 July with Dave our Driver. Could not fault it. Perfectly paced, great driver and commentary and scenery was amazing . Im sure our fellow passengers had a great experience too. Highly recommend.

Full on fabulous day! Four of us travelling together thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It’s a great day trip anyway but was made even better by our driver Macca who made sure we all got the most out it by keeping us safe, informed and entertained.

Very professional service We were transported to Cradle Mountain where we stayed a couple of days. We had a great experience with McDermott's transport both ways. Both drivers were very professional and friendly. We would certainly recommend their service

Great day trip with good guide Excellent local guide with amazing knowledge of the area and history, He was passionate about his topic and guided us throughout the journey, with amazing facts and a good sense of humor.
We got to experience local history and amazing views, with clear skys over cradle mountain and learn the amazing history behind it becoming a heritage park and experience the story of those early pioneers.
Highly recommend the trip.

Great guide Great guide. Several interesting places to stop. Cradle Mountain the highlight. Was cold and raining. Wear more layers than you think you need. Great guide
