We had an amazing daylong bike through Belair National Park and Conservation Area - topped off with a wonderful wine tasting lunch at Deviation Road Winery. Excellent equipment, service and support. Highly recommend.

Our ride to Mt Lofty was an excellent adventure. Rode through the park, single and double wide trails, county lanes and some roads. Also rode by beautiful homes, wineries and the scenic Piccadilly valley. Ian and his e-bikes were excellent.

Super fun morning Totally Rad morning, from pick up to drop off just a lot of fun, the trail was just challenging enough for Novice riders and the views were amazing. Was great to see some Koalas in the wild too , highly reccomneded.

If you have one or even just half a day in Adelaide - do this! I did the self-guided e-bike nature tour (without the winery tour option). It was a great way to spend half a day or more in Adelaide. Ian was so helpful, even picking me up from the train station, which was an easy 35 mins from Adelaide central, and upgrading me to a full-suspension e-bike, with additional gel seat (as I'm not a hard-core mountain biker). The GPS worked really well and it was a great trip where I covered a lot of distance, got to see a lot of wildlife (had to break suddenly as an emu crossed my path!) and suited my level of biking, which is more trail rider than mountain biker. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who has a day to spare in Adelaide, and the train station is right next to the convention centre, so its a great trip to add to the end of your conference, like I did!

Saved my Adelaide weekend I'm grateful to have found Escapegoat after my kayak tour was cancelled at the last minute. The self guided ebike tour is a great option to see the quiet Adelaide hills area only 20 minutes from CBD. Ian made it easy by giving me pick-up options and maps on GPS and my watch. Rented 4 bikes for 10 days in October riding about 70-80 km per day. The bikes were so good. Battery charged quickly and were powerful for big hills with packs on. Joel at Escape Goat did an amazing job helping us get set up for the trip as we’d flown in from interstate. He was creative and helpful when we had issues with mounting screws. Ian was helpful throughout the process. Great guys, great bikes, great trip.

We went for a winery tour ride with Ian. The weather at the start of the day was a bit rough but Ian was happy to delay our start until it cleared up so we could ride in the dry. The trail we took was great (very picturesque) and pretty easy riding on e-bikes (the bikes were great quality), Ian was super knowledgeable of the area and took us to some great wine and food experiences. We will be back in the Summer too to do it all again as this ride would be even more incredible with the sun out. Thanks for a great day.

Great Experience - would go again! Really enjoyed our ride. Everything was very professional from being picked up, having good bikes and a guide who showed us some amazing spots. It can be tough managing people of varying abilities but Ian did a fine job.
The lunch spot and the wineries were all good and very well planned. We opted for Goodieson Brewery as the last stop and boy was their beer good! The Brown Ale was my favorite.
Highly recommend if in Adelaide for a few days.

Legendary experience - great way to see the real Adelaide wine country! Ian was an incredible host/guide. Just the right blend of information, personal engagement, insights about the country we rode through and the wineries/breweries we stopped at - as well as time for us to enjoy the experience. Well chosen trails and route meant we got a great mix of scenic views, wildlife and super relaxed but absolutely delicious food and vino! Would totally recommend this!

Small group bike tour in the Vale Fantastic guide Ian, took at us the optimum speed to fit all levels of experience and fitness and showed us the beauty of McLaren Vale. The day included a mountain bike trail ride, a 7km descent at speed, cruising through the vineyards and gorgeous wine tasting with a lunch platter at Gemtree winery.

Fox Creek MTB We had a blast riding Fox Creek bike park. Ian showed us the best trails. And set up our bikes perfectly. What a spot. Can't walt to bring a bunch of friends asking next time.

A scenic fun activity The Mount Lofty Descent Bike experience provided a brillant opportunity to show cast Adelaide in it's full glory. The tour starts with a short, relaxing drive to the summit and an incredible panoramic view over the city. The ride was refreshingly cool esp since Adelaide had temperatures in the high 30's. I enjoyed exercising with a few achieveable challanges 'here & there'. My highlight was being able to 'ride and chat' to my friends whilst spotting koalas in the trees. Thank you Ian for providing a great day's experience.

Beyond Expectations A completely wonderful day. Interesting and informative guide who ensured we had an exciting mountain bike ride that satisfied all levels. He stayed behind with the less experienced and ensured everyone was safe. Gorgeous countryside with really fabulous smaller wineries and a brewery. Highly recommended. Fabulous private tour - mountain biking Thanks Ian for a great half day of riding in the beautiful Cleveland nature reserve and it’s surrounds. We did a half day private tour just my husband and I, Ian provided dual suspension good quality bikes, great local knowledge and some fun chat along the way. Highly recommended. I’m sure the organised tours would be great too.

An enjoyable way to visit wineries and see the country side. The day started with a not too strenuous but mildly challenging ride ,for some, through some bushland with great views. It was then literally all downhill from there! Which was what we needed as filled ourselves with high quality food and wine. Our guide Ian was helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Highly recommended.

Nature, flowers, koalas, amazing I loved this tour. What a fantastic experience, the scenery, being in nature, the wildflowers, koalas in their natural habitat. Just a magnificent experience. It was cold and raining the day I did the tour and I smiled the entire way.

I did the Mount Lofty downhill mountain biking tour over the Easter Weekend and had a fantastic time. The track truly was all downhill. We went just after it had rained so some parts of the track were a little slippery, however still managable. I paid for the upgrade for a dual suspension bike and I would definitely recommend doing that as it made the trip down much more comfortable. Having the break to explore the wildlife park was also a treat. Well worth the money and would definitely do it again and also do their other tours too

Mountain thrills & wildlife chills Great downhill ride from the top of Mt Lofty. Some sections of the dirt track were not for the faint-hearted but our guide Steve was patient and allowed some of the group to walk those sections when they weren’t confident. Good safety tips and a big focus on rising to the level you’re comfortable with. Huge fun but not recommended for beginners. A massive highlight was the stop for morning tea at the wildlife park. Up close and personal with a huge range of Australian animals who were very cute. This tour was a highlight of our Adelaide visit.

Awesome experience!! First, we appreciated the great email response to our questions and communication with Ian and Chiara prior to and after booking. Steve, our guide/driver, picked us up right on schedule at the designated meeting location, and it was a nice-sized group of 8 total people. There were three segments/types of rides. The first was "mountain biking" on narrow, sometimes rocky trails, mostly downhill after an initial easy gradual climb. For those of us with no experience at this type of biking, Steve did a great job of prepping us, demonstration, and giving us tips for success. It was a bit challenging and thrilling for about half the group, (not difficult for those used to it), but definitely manageable for novices. It was fun, we saw a group of kangaroos, and the viewpoint we ended up at was gorgeous! After that we did a fairly steep and winding ride down a paved road - mostly just braking to avoid high speeds. Also fun! The first winery served us an amazing and delicious lunch with their wine tasting - one of the loveliest and tastiest charcuterie boards we've ever had, with locally-sourced cheeses, etc. Everyone raved about how great and plentiful our lunch was. I think we all agreed that the last two segments of biking were our favorite - biking at more leisurely speeds along flat or gently down-sloping gravel roads, so that we could actually look around and enjoy the beautiful rural scenery and vineyards along the way. The second winery was fabulous - we all found wines we really loved, and Helen was knowledgeable, witty, and delightful as our hostess. And finally, we biked once more to a location with a brewery across the road from a cidery, so we all had our choice where to go. We all ended up at the cidery where pizza (pear-blue cheese-walnut was "to-die-for") and a variety of beverages were selected - coffee, hot chocolate, ginger beer, pear cider. I think they had ice creams and desserts too. We all enjoyed chatting during the van ride back into Adelaide after a wonderful day together. Did I mention it rained off and on all day? Well, that didn't dampen our spirits at all, and getting a bit wet now and then was no big deal. Steve even offered rain jackets to those who didn't have one. Perfect! We'd highly recommend this trip as an awesome way to do some wine tasting in a unique and fun way!!

Adelaide touring Wonderfully helpful Helen at the Belair shop set my wife and I up for the best two days cycling around the National Park and Adelaide. Absolutely topped off our first visit to Adelaide.
We will definitely be back for more cycling fun with the Escapegoat crew next time we visit.

An Experience to Savour and Enjoy The bike and wine tour was an absolute enjoyable experience. Leigh our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating for a full days activities. There was only 5 of us in the group so it was also very personal. The wineries we attended were also very accommodating with a great variety of wines to choose from and lunch at Gentree Winery was great as well. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to visit the brewery but by then we all had had enough. The bike ride was reasonably easy with a couple of harder sections on the trail. One of the highlights was definitely the Onkaparinga Gorge with its outlook and colour. My wife and I very much enjoyed the company of the 3 other guests, so a great day was had by all. I would certainly recommend this company and tour for your next Bike and Wine Tour in Adelaide.

Bike & Wine is the new Black Definitely a unique take on wine tour. I love exploring & being immersed by nature as well as trying the famous SA wines & this tour gave me exactly that.

I had an absolute blast biking around the Onkaparinga River National Park. The trail can sometimes be a bit difficult and tricky but Ian (our guide) tried his best to guide us through. He even tried to accommodate everyone's pace & made sure nobody was left behind. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and willing to answer any question that we threw at him.

We visited 2 wineries & 1 brewery on this trip and I felt like I had enough alcohol for the whole month!!! So many varieties to choose from. Reasonably priced (with shipping options too!). For lunch, we had a cute cheese board at one of the wineries. It comprises local produce so it's delicious & sustainable!

Couldn't recommend this tour enough if you want a bit different experience than a regular wine tour. Bike & wine should be the next big thing!

Excellent Winery Tour I highly recommend this tour if you want to enjoy some pleasant bike riding and sample a couple of great vineyards. Ian had chosen a route which was manageable for riders of all levels and despite the hot day there were plenty of shady lanes to ride and the pace was good. The wines and food were excellent. Everything was well organised and this tour is really good value.

Beautiful views and easy going pace bike ride Had a great few hours with Escape Goat tours as we biked down Mt Lofty. Our guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable on both the area and the mountain biking know how. He was patient with us non mountain bikers and fun along the way.

Part of the tour takes you through a wildlife park and Steve was our guide there as well.

Fun day out! A fantastic day out with family and friends, with a bit of mountain bike riding, then riding between wineries on some quiet roads. We got to sample some fantastic local produce. Highly recommended

Bike, bevvies & brews. Had a great day, there were 9 of us in total. Picked up from home and had a fun mountain bike ride to start the morning. Then off to a couple of wineries (Gemtree and Kangarilla) for lunch and tastings, and finished the day at Goodieson Brewery with some great beers and stout. Excellent guide, winery staff were well versed in their local products, and would definitely do again. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience descending Mount Lofty! Great excursion for mountain bike lovers. Challenging course, but with Lee's expert guidance and encouragement on the trails, we ver much enjoyed the experience.

The break at the Cleland Wildlife Park was so much fun. We got to feed the emus and the wallabies.


Escapegoat provided excellent mountain bikes. Ian was easy to communicate with and went out of his to ensure we would be able to participate.

Great day out Ian was a good host/guide & took us to 2 vineyards for tastings & lunch followed by a brewery for a beer at the end of our day out. We spotted several kangaroo on our ride along with parrots. Ian was very knowledgeable & accommodating.

Mount Lofty Descent Great views from the top, enough time in the wildlife park to see all the animals. We even saw some wild Koala's on the way down. As keen road cyclists, this was much harder than we thought it would be. Steve our host gave loads of advice and tips on how to get the best out of the bike and was extremely patient. I would definitely do this trip again and recommend to experienced and novice riders.

A Perfect Day My perfect day! Bikes and wine - what's not to like (oh and beer). We were picked up from our accommodation; all well-organised and straightforward. The morning was spent biking with Lee (and a nice group of people) through some stunning scenery and was mostly downhill, the route having been very well explained beforehand. Delicious lunch and wine at Gemtree Winery followed by more excellent tasting at Kangarilla. Then a short ride to Goodieson Brewery to finish off a wonderful day with a refreshing flight of beers. We were driven home happy, tired and completely satisfied. Highly recommended.

Great experience We hadn't gone mountain biking for a few years but Steve was very good at gauging experience levels and making sure everyone had a good ride, from us 55+ yo to teenagers.
