We did a 4-day tour, Albany / Margaret River at substantial cost.
I would have given a 4 star rating, but do not think that this tour should be called "Luxury", but more "Personalised". Thx for your effort Sylvia.
We had a good time and saw and learnt a lot on these 4 days.
Some of the lunches were not good and should have been planned better.
Some were brilliant!
Accommodation was good to excellent, but just what I would have chosen, and not be called "luxury" (bespoke).
I am giving a 3 star rating due to your driving skills which are SERIOUSLY lacking.
You drive too fast and aggressive.
Speed limits are not a target! You ACCELLERATE to get to the "target" and slam on brakes to get down to the lower "target".
Your skills going around corners are shocking jerk, jerk, jerk rather than smoothly
You charge into a corner, then slam on the brakes nearly coming to a stop, then realise you are too slow, and accelerate again
The part of taking people on tours is for them to relax and enjoy the trip, especially taken into consideration that driving your guests is a large part of the service you provide.
This was absolutely NOT a good experience and you should consider not doing this any more.
We had a lovely day in Sylvia’s company. She is very knowledgeable and knows all the local wineries. We visited three of them - John Kosovitch, a small family owned winery with a 100 year history, Olive Farm Wines established in 1829, and finally Sandalford’s where we had lunch (delicious shellfish risotto). It was a great day out and we would definitely recommend Luxury Outback Tours!
Sylvia guided us around them, stopping for photos and telling us the best spots. Loads of useful information about Perth and the surrounding areas too.
We called in at the shop, usual tourist stuff plus some beautiful glass ware. Prices not to bad either.
Stopped again for dinner, lovely diner, good choice on menu, and location outstanding. We couldn’t sit outside as it was so busy but the view, well we were literally on the beach ..
All in all we had a great day, and we’re lucky enough to have Sylvia again the following day, where once again we were treated to an amazing Italian lunch.
Very professional, good for banter, easy to get along with, and very conscious of your safety 10/10
I contacted Sylvia prior to the trip and asked if my Mum's walker could be taken with us in the car. I was told that this would be OK as long as the tour did not get fully booked, as it would have to be placed in the back seat (which was reasonable).
Mum and I were very happy with the tour - lovely morning tea with choice of drink (tea / coffee etc.) and choice of cake. As my Mum (90 years old) finds it difficult to walk up or down stairs or slopes, Sylvia checked with my Mum if the proposed venues would be accessible for her. The stops on the tour were enjoyable and we were not rushed at all. Sylvia was also considerate to my Mum, and this helped to make the 1/2 day special!
Sylvia is a highly skilled & experienced guide, you wont find anyone more knowledgeable, amiable & interesting offering a new surprise everyday! I will be back next year for another exciting adventure.
