With all action sports, it is important that the family learn the correct technique from day one and Stand Up Paddle Boarding is no different.
Our instructors will have your family paddling effectively in a short space of time, and ensure you all leave us with adequate knowledge to paddle on your own. Our lessons are conducted in a safe and nurturing environment and in a format that all family members will enjoy.
What’s covered:
- Safety on the water
- Familiarity with SUP equipment
- Safe carrying of your equipment
- Basic paddle strokes and turns
- Correct posture and position whilst paddling
- Safe entry and exit from the water
- Using the paddle for stability
- Advanced strokes for turning and catching waves
- The St Kilda paddling environment
- Basic core fitness workout
What’s provided:
- SUP lesson; 90 minute session, including 30minutes of instruction with your own intrusctor and 1h free paddle.
- SUP equipment provided: Stand Up Paddle board, leg rope, paddle, wetsuit (if required), lifejacket (if required) and rash vest.

Gift vouchers may be redeemed with Saint Kilda Stand Up Paddle HQ (SUP HQ) within 1095days of purchase. All our Hire and lesson are subject to availability and SUP HQ’s weather policy and standard terms of hire or lesson ( group or private as published on its website from time to time).
Gift voucher’s may not be redeemed for cash. SUP HQ operates during seasonal periods only and all bookings are subject to standard terms of hire,lesson, availability and terms and conditions of SUP HQ’s operating permit issued by the city of Port Philip. In the event that SUP HQ ceases to hold the necessary operators permit to provide stand up paddle hire services or lesson services within the city of Port Philip all unexpired gift vouchers will be deemed void and of no value.
