I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Gold Coast. Thank you, Nelson, for making it such a memorable adventure!
The snacks provided were a great touch and much appreciated after the activities.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and memorable adventure.
The weather was a mix of rain and sunshine, but the team did an amazing job helping us choose the perfect time to head out. From the moment we started, everything felt smooth and well-organized.
Kayaking all the way to the island was such a beautiful and peaceful experience. Our guide, Nelson, was fantastic — he made us feel completely comfortable, guided us patiently, and ensured we enjoyed every moment.
Snorkeling at Wave Break Island was the highlight — the water was clear, and we got to see so many colorful fish. It was truly magical.
This experience turned out to be the best part of our trip. A big thank you to Nelson and the entire Seaway Kayaking team for making it so special for me, my wife, and my daughter. We’ll definitely cherish these memories!
Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Gold Coast — don’t miss it!
Nicole also kept a close eye on us during snorkelling and made sure we didn’t drift near the rocks, explaining how sharp they can be underwater. You can tell he genuinely cares about everyone’s safety and comfort.
Thanks to Nicole, our day was smoother, safer, and so much more enjoyable. Highly recommend booking with Seaway Kayaking and definitely ask for Nicole — he’s fantastic at what he does!
As sore as our muscles are the next day, it was a day of no regret.
So many fish! Water was perfect!
We had so much fun! The instructions are thorough and caring and put our safety distance and made sure we all had fun.
They explained things and told us stories and brought delicious snacks.
They took photos throughout the experience and made the whole experience perfect.
We will be back in a year and recommended it to our family and friends!
Can’t wait to come back :)
I like most that he was cleaning the walk way also in the beach if any dirts there and helping the other companies team also.
Thanks to him
Highly recommend. Saw a bunch of fish, recommend 7:30 or 10:30 before it gets too hot out and the waves get big from the other boats.
The tour itself was made more enjoyable by the staff who looked after us very well safety wise
Caroline was the best guide, friendly, fun, and made everyone feel safe. Highly recommend! 🚣♀️🥰
Kayaking was a lot of fun and we saw a few fishes while snorkelling.
On the way, we stopped to see some soldier crabs, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived at Wave Break Island, we had about 50 minutes to explore at our own pace. I saw plenty of sea bream, but no tropical fish — which I expected, as this isn’t the coral reef.
A small picnic was included, with snacks and a hot drink, which was a lovely touch. Gonzalo was fun, took lots of photos (much appreciated as a solo traveller), and they turned out far more professional than I expected! On the way back, we even got to surf some waves in our kayaks, which was a great way to finish the day.
Overall, a well-organised, friendly, and enjoyable tour — highly recommended.
So much fun was had by the whole family, with beach games and snacks provided for a great time over on the island. But the highlight was when Jane suggested we stop off at a nearby beach because she saw an army of soldier crabs. Such an incredible sight, for kids and adults alike, to see thousands of crabs crossing the sand.
This is a must-do activity when visiting the Gold Coast.
Thanks Seaway Kayaking Tours, and Jane!
The lunch was also great for an included lunch. Normally it's just a novelty sandwich and drink but this was a generous setup of wrap fillings, cupcakes, crisps, etc.
The only downside I will say; is that the staff did a poor job of providing shelter from the rain. People getting wet is fine, who cares. Personal belongings, bags and electronics being left out in the rain without shelter is another thing. Especially while the staff were sitting inside a big sheltered truck where rain didn't leak through the ceiling.
Not once were we asked if we'd like to put even the essentials under shelter, we were just left out in the cold and torrential rain while they sat bone dry underneath a metal roof.
Aside from everything being soaked through, we had a blast, and I would recommend this company and this tour.
He did fantastic job for us. He welcomed, trained and led us perfectly!!
Thanks to him, he experienced a great adventure to the island and enjoyed the fabulous time.
I was with my little daughter, but we went though all the kayaking despite of windy weather thanks to him.
Love Seaway kayaking tour !
Thanks a lot.
Oh and The weather is perfect for outdoor activity too!
FYI, be prepared for no change rooms and a toilet that's a 15-minute walk away. On the bright side, there are light snacks after snorkeling, and non-swimmers can join in too - just stick to the bay area, where I spotted a bunch of fishos, which was pretty cool. The kayak, though? Not my thing, apparently - but hey, we survived! 💪🏼
The guide don't provide any information about the wildlife or spot anything ( apart from a sea eagle) but the tour matches the description on the website. We didn't spot any stingray or dolphin and I don't think we were even trying.
Cons: they didn't have enough kid paddle so the kids had to take turns (which created some issues and made the kayaking not relaxing at all for me while it would have been easy having enough paddles).
You have to do the snorkeling with a lifejacket but the zip of mine was constantly fully opening by itself in the water which was inconfortable (it had no clip to maintain it close - only zip).
