This was such an fun and interesting tour, little alleys that were full of art and fun little restaurants and shops. The historical buildings that have been kept with updates to types of businesses just made me happy to see. It made me really wish that I had another day in the city to go back and do even more exploring.

Rich and Enjoyable I had a limited time in Melbourne and was on my own, so the Lanes and Arcades tour was a perfect way to maximise my time in the city. My guide was knowledgeable and passionate. I loved seeing all the street art and hearing the story of some of the iconic buildings and spaces in the city.

Excellent hidden secrets tour of Melbourne! After a brief history of the city we explored several of the historic buildings/arcades that have been transformed into shopping/dining venues. We were shown alley ways to a mass display of local art works painted on historic buildings. Secret alleys found only with the help of our excellent guide, Liz. Adventure includes chocolate tasting, coffee and a delicious lunch with wine at a Peruvian restaurant.

I had a Great tour with guide Judy, walking us through hidden secrets in Melbourne, showing us wonderful places, great histories belonging to some of the buildings. Did a walktrough on my own afterwards. Easy doing after our guide marked out our route on a map 🤩 Wonderfull city 💙

What a delightful experience! Great food and wine! What a delightful experience with Fiona! We had such a wonderful time with lots of laughter and exchange of stories! Fiona is a great story teller and she brings the history of Melbourne to live in a fun way! We got to know great restaurants hidden in little nooks and alleys, best of all, the pairing with the wine and food experience is fantastic! If you are a foodie, this is something you must sign up!

Great tour ! Our tour guide Melinda is exceptional. We were late because of confusion with meeting place, but she waited for us to begin. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about the city. The tour was great, and we came away with a better appreciation for the city and better navigation skills :)

A group of us did the Melbourne city tour with Isabel last week and it was so good! I had no idea what to expect of Melbourne: my mom booked our Australia trip as a gift for both of us, and I decided to let each day be something of a surprise. Despite a rainy, chilly day, Alice's excellent Lanes and Arcades Walking Tour showed me parts of the city I 100% would not have noticed if I had just been wandering on my own. She was extremely considerate of my mom (who walks very slowly, and with a cane), never made her feel like she needed to hurry up, and was so kind as to get on the free tram with us and show us to the Queen Victoria Market (even though it wasn't on the itinerary). I can't recommend Hidden Secret Tours (and Alice as a guide) more highly!

Morning Lanes and Arcades tour was wonderful. In particular our guide Ola was knowledgeable, pleasant, affable, and fun. The history of the downtown area along with the arcades and art was fascinating. The stories behind the various shops and streets are what make the city of Melbourne interesting. Highly recommended.

N ice Walking Tour of Melbourne My wife and I were in Melbourne and decided to take the Lanes & Arcades Walking Tour. We had a good time walking around the city. We stopped at a few places for food and drinks in the arcades. Our guide, Melinda was knowledgable and informative.

Interesting insights into the city We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, led by the very knowledgable Kathy, a Melbourne local who showed an obvious love for her city. She told us stories and gave insights into the history and development of Melbourne and its laneways and arcades, and at the end of the tour we felt that we had a greater appreciation of this marvellous city. We can thoroughly recommend this tour, and if you are lucky enough to have Kathy as your guide, you will be in good hands!

Highly recommended! We had a lot of fun with Dee, our tour Guide. She Shared just the right amount of history and Culture Information, while having a relaxed conversation with us during the whole tour. We really enjoyed the time, discovered so many places and little details, we wouldn‘t have noticed without her showing us. Not to forget the delicious tastings and lunch.

Great tour. Melinda knows her stuff. Melinda was a great guide, taking our interests into consideration, as we walked the lanes and alleyways of the CBD, on this private tour. She was filled with stories and insights and patience for my slower walking.

The only "meh" part of our tour was lunch, but in fairness she chose a gluten free restaurant that was on my list of possible "go-tos." The meh-ness was not her but the restaurant.

I would take this tour with her again in a second. She did a great job and was a highlight of our visit to Melbourne.

SO many fun things to see, eat, and learn - exceptional! Our guide Dee was fantastic - she gave us the right amount of fun facts, history, and humor. She loves Melbourne and now I do too. From explaining the bounciness of Federation Square, the emu and kangaroo on the Australia coat of arms, the Clocks, Chloe, and showing us many hidden secrets - chocolates, bakeries, shops, a whole-person kaleidoscope, graffiti, and many more things, she kept us smiling and interested. She also helpfully recommended many more things to do in Melbourne, most of which I did (all terrific), and also advised us on things to do in places in Australia we were going next. This tour was exceptional.

Golden Mile Heritage Walk Jim was our guide for the Hidden Secrets Golden Mile Heritage Walk on a Saturday morning. He was extremely pleasant and engaging. He provided a great tour of areas of Melbourne we had not yet seen, and was very knowledgeable about the historical significance of the sites we visited. We really enjoyed our time with him!

If you asked your spunky aunt to give you a private tour of her town, that is the experience you will get with Isabel! She has a great source of knowledge about Melbourne, and brought us around a number of hidden ally ways and streets showing us the street art and the eclectic array of restaurants that are nestled along the center of the city.
Isabel warmed right up to the group and by the end I felt like family. She was very fun to spend the afternoon with.
I would highly recommend doing this day one in Melbourne so you can revisit some of the stores and restaurants you see along the way.

We did the laneways and arcades tour. What a fantastic morning! So many hidden walkways that in previous visits to Melbourne we have just walked past! Our tour guide was such a wealth of knowledge and passionate about her hometown. Highly recommend!

Ok and a few decent things but too short and too much money The concept of this tour is amazing as there are so many hidden ally's and gems, it's the best part of Melbourne. This tour isn't bad , but it's not great, it's ok. Definitely saw some great ally's and things I would have walked by on my own. For 3 hours, most of our time was standing around and listening to way too much history. And a long time having chocolate and tea. Which was a great spot. But we saw maybe 5 ally's , there are hundreds . The area walked was way to short , the route needs to be expanded exponentially and I would have wanted to see a lot more in 3 hours . Also it's was way too expensive for a 3 hour walking tour. It should be about $40 usd or less not $88 . I would probably do it again but feel like I paid way too much by a lot. In contrast I did an ocean road tour which was about 14 hours, the entire day and we traveled over 500 km, and it was about the same price at $98. Great idea , but could be executed much better

First class tour of some of Melbourne's hidden secrets! Accompanied by friends from the UK, my husband and I were treated to a wonderful tour of Melbourne lanes and arcades. The pace of the tour was perfect, allowing time for us to take in the sights and soak up the information and anecdotes shared by Judy, our wonderful guide. Our stop-off for a chocolate morning tea was delicious. Highly recommended!

Liz was terrific. Accommodating, patient, well informed, & charismatic. So many good recommendations, conversation , & tips & tricks to the city. Our only regret is that we didn’t go on this tour as soon as we arrived in the City! Highly recommend!

Brought Melbourne to life Gentle tour through lanes and streets north of railway station. Fascinating stories by Judy and got to see areas we might not have thought about. Certainly brought Melbourne to life. Lasted about 3 hours with a coffee/chocolate break.

So much more than just cafes and culture! This tour exceeded our expectations. Dee was a wonderful guide and shared her knowledge, wisdom, sense of humor and great tidbits of information. She opened our eyes to the cafes and restaurants hidden in the lanes of Melbourne we would never even have known they existed. Our samplings were delicious, whether coffee or sweet treat and lunch was a special surprise in another hidden away restaurant.

Fiona our walkathon guide was a gem. We learnt and saw so much of Melbourne that we did not know. Melbourne is such a beautiful and rich heritage city. Fiona brought out the wealth of gems through her intimate knowledge. Thank you Fiona.

Our Lane and Arcade Walking Tour in Melbourne We had a fabulous time on our walking tour on Friday with Rob. Melbourne has such a fabulous history and the architecture is incredible. Rob told us of the music /rock history in AC/DC lane ..amazing. Would have been awesome to have been there!
