We look forward to seeing you soon for your Stand Up Paddle Boarding Group Lesson and getting you out on the water.

When to arrive: IMPORTANT – PLEASE ARRIVE A MINIMUM OF 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SESSION COMMENCES so we can start right on time. Your session will start on the water’s edge at your allocated time, so you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier to get changed, get ready and sign in. This will allow you maximum time out on the water to enjoy the Stand Up Paddle Boarding experience.

Where to meet us: We conduct all lessons and hire from our Stand Up Paddle Boarding Van (not a shop) which is parked right on the water’s edge, on Pier Road, St Kilda West Beach (located 150 metres on the right hand side of the St Kilda Pier), near the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron. Look out for a white and orange stand up paddle van and black trailer, blue paddle boards, an orange tent and flags on the beach. Please do not hesitate to call us on 0416 184 994 if you require some directions.

Cancellations due to weather conditions: Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a weather dependant sport. Wind speed and wind direction is the key determinant as to whether a session can proceed.  This particularly applies to northerly winds – in offshore winds, sea conditions deteriorate the further you are out from shore.  The relative smooth conditions at the water’s edge is generally not a true indication of the conditions further out.  We will endeavour to provide you with at least one hour’s notice if your session is cancelled due to poor weather/unsuitable winds. However, please note conditions can change rapidly on Port Phillip Bay so at times we have had to cancel sessions at very short notice. Whilst we try and avoid this occurring, sometimes we have no other option with the safety of our customers being our primary consideration. If you are travelling further than one hour for your session, please let us know prior. If your session is cancelled, you will be provided with a voucher within 48 hours to re-book.

Parking: We recommend you park on Pier Road, St Kilda (metered parking that requires coins/credit card), or at the St Kilda Sea Baths (coins/credit card).

What to bring: We will provide you a Stand Up Paddle Board, leg rope, paddle and lifejacket (if required).  Please feel free to bring your own wetsuit and rash vest if you have one.   You will need to bring a towel, bathers to wear in the water and a change of clothes.  Please limit the amount of gear you bring to the beach and lock valuables in your car. Whilst we endeavor to keep on eye on your gear as best we can, as the beach is a busy place, we cannot take responsibility for your valuables.

Other information: If an extra person would like to participate with you, please let us know beforehand so we can reserve another board for them.
