3 hour Driving tour:
Thank you to Elisha for being so inclusive and understanding of my disability. She even changed the time of the tour so it was accessible to me!
Elisha was a very empathetic person, and my partner and I, on a personal level, felt like we really connected with her.
Our day in Minjerribah was the highlight of our trip 😍
The tour was incredibly informative about culture, animals, and the land.
I have processing and speech issues, and Elisha took the time to listen and repeat things so I could understand what she was saying.
On this tour, we learnt what plants are safe to eat, history of the uses of different plants, the importance and history of the land, the importance of the animals and about movements throughout the seasons, gendered locations, and a little of the local language. We loved learning about the history and culture of the Quandamooka people.
My partner and I would love to redo this tour in a different season to see and experience different things. This tour is perfect on an anthropological, nature, and animal lens, it's really a bit of everything in the best way 🥰
Elisha genuinely does this for the love she has to educate people about her culture 🖤❤️💛
Elisha was incredibly knowledgeable and we are beyond grateful to have experienced this tour. We hope to be back for the full day tour in the future.
We went to see if we could spot whales during migration period and were not disappointed. They were literally a few hundred metres off the cliffs in front of us.
The walk is a loop on an admirably well structured path - the entire loop isn’t suitable for those unable to freely walk as there are a lot of groups of small stairs in parts, however great views can be enjoyed only a minute in so don’t let stairs put you off if your unstable on your feet. Not wheelchair friendly tho. Small children and overly energetic young ones need to be watched carefully. Carpark has a playground, clean bathrooms and safe parking.
Cliff tops can be explored, incredible photo opportunities and the expansive ocean in front of you.
Whales, dolphins, turtles and sting rays can be seen at viewing points - on calmer days only fur turtles and rays. Kangaroo families were right beside us lying in the grass as we walked the loop.
Grab lunch and enjoy it cliffside with one of the best views in the world or complete the loop and grab a meal or beer at the end from one of the fab local cafes We can’t wait to return!
The ferry ride across Moreton Bay offered stunning views, and I was especially grateful that all transport logistics—from getting to Cleveland to securing ferry bookings—were seamlessly taken care of.
Stradbroke Island was a highlight, with its beautiful cultural sites and authentic storytelling that offered real insight into the area's heritage. Lunch by the beach, with the sound of waves in the background, was a perfect moment of calm. The walk to Australia's most eastern point was a scenic and memorable way to round out the day.
Highly recommend this experience for anyone seeking a mix of natural beauty, cultural richness, and stress-free planning.
Thank you Elisha! You're a superstar and I will be recommending your tours far and wide! We appreciate you so much xoxo
The tour itself was brilliant. We visited a number of beautiful sites, of great importance to the Quandamooka people, and learned about their history, ancient and modern. Many of those stories are populated by Elisha's own relatives and ancestors and she was able to talk vividly about their role in shaping the indigenous history of the island, visiting the key locations. We also visited an art gallery featuring some of the beautiful work of Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, a local Aboriginal artist.
Elisha also showed huge passion for the wildlife of the island and we had some fascinating encounters along the way.
At the end she ensured we were dropped off at our choice of one of the amazing beaches on the north of the island, with a good recommendation for lunch!
This really was a wonderful experience.
Culture in Australia and it’s vital
That we take these opportunities to learn and pay respect to people, culture and to appreciate the country we live and work on. Elisha is a warm and sharing tour guide and lots of fun to be with. It was really awesome
To meet other people in the tour too. I will be back for more.
Listening through your stories and experiencing the beautiful spirit of Quandamooka Country, grows our understanding and learnings.
Thank you Elisha, for inviting us to walk with you and we so look forward to joining you again next time we are visiting Minjerribah .
