Amazing experience We just rocked up and got the last 3 spots. They kitted us out in all the safety gear and then we were off. We travelled with Fox who was brilliant. He stopped often - either to point out something special or to go for a quick walk or to take a photo from a great viewing spot. Nothing was too much trouble. We stopped in a forest, saw a koala & native bees then to a magnificent beach. Riding the sand dunes was exciting and great fun. It was worth the money and we would really recommend this experience.

Memorable Experience at Little Sahara! My husband and I had a fantastic time on the Little Sahara Fat E Bike Tour. Our guides Claire and Fox were outstanding! Being first timers on electric bikes, they helped us get 100% comfortable. We started out in the bush and Claire shared so many interesting facts about the forest- and we saw adorable koalas! The trail has some dips, climbs, and curves, and Claire always gave us a heads up with guidance so we could be prepared. From there we rode more in the forest and then onto the dunes! Fox prepped us for the steep dunes and how to manage the sand. It was so fun and Fox even took a video of us coming up the dune. What a great time and such a special memory. Fun fat tyre e-biking through the bushland and sand dunes of KI's south coast My husband and I were half of a group of 4 that enjoyed e-biking last week through KI's Little Sahara area on the south coast. It was lots of fun! The area is beautiful and the e-bikes were a great way to experience it. We spent a good balance of time between the sand dunes and the surrounding bushland where we spotted lots of koalas and also saw a rare, large wild bee hive.
Our guide, Aldis, was supportive and informative of the surrounding area and wildlife. He provided a great briefing of the e-bikes, kept it simple, and made sure we were comfortable on them before we headed out. He managed our time well. During the ride he provided good guidance and encouragement on how to tackle 2 or 3 more challenging downhills on the dunes but never pushed us to do them, cautioning us that we didn't need to be heroes. Nothing was too hairy or difficult that you couldn't walk your bike down them if you wanted to.

Great Outdoors We had a great day with Adam on the e-bike. It was easy to use and was fun to ride through bush and sand dunes. My kids had so much fun! My twin 7 year olds and I did the buggy tour with Aldis and added on the sandboard rentals. We all had a great time and one of my kids was raving so much about being on the buggy. Early on in the tour we stopped to walk through eucalyptus trees and saw four koalas, a large goanna lizard and a rosa parrot. We also visited a tree that was partially hollowed out from the prior fires and used as a hive by a colony of Ligurian bees. Aldis was so informative about the history of Kangaroo Island, Ligurian bees and shared his extensive knowledge about the trees and other plants. He asked the kids questions and kept them engaged. I also felt that he took safety seriously. My two kids sat in front with him and I saw him glance down and check on the kids throughout the buggy ride. We stopped at a beautiful spot looking out at the beach. The view of the southern ocean and coast was breathtaking then we had a thrilling wrap up as we zipped up, down and around the sand dunes. Definitely worth doing when you visit KI!

Little Sahara was amazing! Be aware that you’re not able to access it at all times since it is on private property and it will be closed in the afternoon. Parking spots are right before the visitor center where you can buy tours or equipment to ride down the sand slopes. We decided not to book any options, went up the slopes by foot and enjoyed the stunning view! Going there is free of charge other than the activities you can book. A must see in my opinion.

We had an amazing experience at Little Sahara on Kangaroo Island! Riding the buggy over the sand dunes was such a thrill and something we will definitely remember for a long time. The landscape is absolutely stunning and makes the whole adventure even more special.
Our driver, Candice, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She shared lots of interesting information with us, not only about the dunes but also about the local wildlife, including koalas, which made the tour even more engaging.
The buggy tour is quite expensive, but honestly, it was worth it. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island!

Very good experience In general. Fox is very experienced and he shared lots of knowledge about Kangaroo Island and this area with us. He is kind and friendly. We saw wild Koala, get to know the land, and sit on the buggy and enjoy the ride. Some of the places are almost 90degrees, and it was too exciting. Overall would recommend this experience.

We did the tobogganing on the sand dunes and the Koala walk. The koala walk was amazing! Saw loads of koalas, had a really interesting tour with our guide who was informative and friendly. Walked at a steady pace so you could take in the surroundings. Learnt a lot about KI. Toboggans were fun but not for the fair hearted! I’d recommend bringing goggles and maybe a snood/scarf so you don’t inhale sand!

We did 170min buggy tour on 1 Januart. What a way to start the year! We’ve had the buggy all to ourselves so it’s like a private tour.
Our guide Aldis was fantastic. He was friendly, informative and flexible giving us freedom to choose from different options.
Stunning views on the way, between surf and sand, not to forget the thrills of the buggy ride. We were lucky to see koalas (one with her joey!) and a pod of dolphins from the lookout.

We took the buggy ride family tour. The guide / driver Mikyla was extremely nice and a good driver. We saw a few koalas and kangaroos. The sand dunes are beautiful. It was a super hot day so we didn't end up sliding on the sand dunes but overall a recommended experience.

Came in today with the family to do some tobogganing. The dunes are absolutely spectacular and the kids (and me too haha) had great fun sliding down the dunes. It was 35 degrees today. My advice is to maybe save your trip for temps under 30 as it was a little extreme

Little Sahara "After Hours Buggy Adventure" (110 min) was an exceptionally enjoyable experience. There were just 2 of us on that day, so it felt very much like a private tour (as a bonus :)). Our tour guide, Fox, is very experienced and knowledgeable. We saw and learned hips of things as we drove through the sparkling white sands of Little Sahara, had a thrilling ride up and down sand dunes, saw a number of koalas and kangaroos when we drove through the woodland area along the Eleanor River, as well as a gigantic beehive, reached the coastline with the lookout on the private beach and the ocean. Highly recommend visiting Little Sahara and, given a chance, have a Buggy Adventure tour.

Unforgettable Experience!!! We had the BEST experience at Little Sahara Adventure Centre on Kangaroo Island! A huge shoutout to Fox and Mickayla, they were both incredible guides. They took us across the sand dunes and out to the most beautiful hidden beach, and made the whole adventure fun, informative, and super welcoming. Their knowledge of the area, combined with their friendly energy, really made the tour feel personal and memorable.

Personal touch What an experience! Just our family (2 adults, 2 children) with guide Candice. She knows so much about the wildlife, plants and history of the area. Very interesting. The weather when we went was pretty changeable (super windy; frequent showers then bright sunshine) and with young children this made it a challenge to keep coats on etc. Candice was very patient and kind, lending us waterproofs and helping to carry things when our hands were full of children. She modified the route and went at our pace to ensure we had the best possible experience. She even cycled the route again at the end to find my husband's phone which he thought he'd dropped. E Fat Bike tour was spectacular!! We did the two hour e Fat Bike tour with Candy as our guide. Saw more Koalas than we could have hoped for. We did the buggy ride and sandboarding as a family of 4. Our driver was Fox and he was absolutely amazing, and we saw lots of wild koalas.

We spent nearly 2hrs exploring with the very knowledgeable and fun 'Fox'. We checked out the river and surrounding flora and fauna including Koala and a Lurian bee nest in a tree. We then headed to an exclusive and very picturesque beach before heading to some fun on the sand dunes. We learnt a lot from Fox who was very mindful of our comfort and safety at all times. Good for thrill seekers who want to a safe way to get into the big sand dunes. The dune buggy ride with a driver is a fun and safe way to experience the massive sand dunes without driving yourself. The driver has the experience and local knowledge to take you to the best places. Our excellent driver, named Fox, first took us through some bushy area near a river where we spotted a koala in a tree. After that, we zoomed off to the dunes. The large dunes have their own natural beauty.

What an awesome experience 3 full hours of pure joy. Candice was our guide and she was so nice to us. Our family of five had the most unreal time at Little Sahara on the two-hour dune buggy experience.
My elderly parents were a little uncertain beforehand, but ended up having the time of their lives!
With regular wildlife stops, incredible views and photo taking opportunities, there was just the right mix of adventure and nature.
Spending the last part of the journey cruising up and down the incredible sand dunes was an absolute highlight!
This was far and away one of the best experiences we had on Kangaroo Island, for sure.

Great experience on the dune buggy with Tom as an expert guide. We had our (almost) four year old with us and Tom managed to explain things brilliantly to her whilst still keeping us interested. He was gentle and patient with her and we all felt safe with his expert driving! The private beach was beautiful and so refreshing on a unuasually hot day, the koalas included a particularly active baby and we even checked out a natural beehive. Great experience- the dune riding at the end was great fun!!

Temika was our guide on the after hours buggy tour. She gave lots of interesting information and we had a nice tour. The buggy tour involved us sitting in the buggy that she drove rather than us driving , still fun nevertheless. We spotted some koalas, visited a private beach and drove on the sand dunes. We also hired toboggans and slid down the sand dunes, which was fun but I think the shape of the dunes made keeping directions a bit challenging and a few people were falling off.

Buggy fun and adventure What an amazing time we had. Candice was our guide and she was fantastic. She had a wealth of information to share and show us. There was so much to see and to cap it off we had a super close encounter with a koala. The buggy ride was a lot of fun too. This was a very special and memorable experience for my wife and I. The perfect end to an epic holiday An amazing adventure. The last activity of our epic trip to Australia. We saw koalas, a natural bee hive and had the most incredible, exhilarating drive over the sand dunes. A must do experience and a great company. Surf to Sand and Koalas in between Unique experience through the terrain of a private property. We went from woodland to speeding up white Sandhills. There was opportunity to see koalas in their natural habitat and learn about their life on Kangaroo Island. We also learned about the devastating fires in 2019/20 that burnt over 40% of the Island.

A sunset tour not to be missed We did the sunset buggy tour with Candice and we can’t speak highly enough about the tour itself or of Candice. The tour was interesting and entertaining from the moment Candice introduced herself. A French national, Candice was full of really interesting information about our flora and fauna that put us to shame, as two Australians - it was an absolute pleasure to listen to her and the passion she has for our country! We were lucky enough to see koalas, kangaroos and even an echidna on the tour, not to mention stunning landscapes, all topped off with a bit of fun as we zoomed through the sand dunes at the end. Five stars just isn't enough for what we just experienced! The buggy ride, with Candice as our driver and guide, is one of the best tours we've ever done. The ride was fun and educational, and the views were absolutely sensational. Can't thank Little Sahara Adventures and Candice enough for such a memorable afternoon.
