Ghostless tour This was advertised as a ghost tour, we took our grandchildren who were so disappointed, they didn’t see or hear anything resembling a ghost . Definitely not worth the money

Awesome experience :-) My daughter and I had an awesome experience on this tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was so interesting hearing all the mysterious stories along with the history of The Rocks.

I'm by no means a skeptic but the evening took a strange turn towards the end of the tour. We visited The Parbury Ruins. These ruins of an 1820s cottage were unearthed during construction of a residential apartment complex in 2002. There, in the dark, cold ruins, we were told about the mystery of Amelia.

Amelia died a very slow, very painful and, some would say, very suspicious death. I will not divulge the whole story but after we had left the building and were standing out the front on the street, our tour guide was telling us about some of the mischief Amelia would get up to. She was telling us how some women can suddenly get a funny, croaky, scratchy feeling in their throats. At this point, I was finding it hard to concentrate on what she was telling us as I suddenly got the weirdest feeling in my throat. It was like I had swallowed something the wrong way and this persistent feeling hit me that I needed to cough. I tried to discreetly clear my throat but nothing worked. Suddenly my voice was cracking and I couldn't talk and the urge to cough kept growing. I started coughing and couldn't stop. At this point, everyone on the tour looked at me and the tour guide asked if I was OK. In a croaky voice I said "I don't know what's happening, my throat feels all weird". My daughter said "I think it's just a coincidence!" and then asked me if it was an asthma attack. It definitely was not asthma!!!

Some of the group laughed at this strange turn of events, whilst others watched on in silence. After a couple of minutes the feeling suddenly disappeared and my voice returned as if nothing had happened. I honestly can't explain what triggered it but if it was Amelia, I am sure she was having a good ole chuckle! :-)

Interesting Historical Ghost Tour This was a very interesting historical tour of The Rocks which encompassed some gruesome deaths in the area. There are some stairs and hills, along with uneven poorly lite ground to walk on, so be an aware of this before booking. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the information provided therewith.

Spooky Sydney! A good experience although very cold in Sydney in July! The Rocks is a great area to explore with lots of local history. The host, Kate, was very engaging and quirky with some great stories. Wife didn’t sleep well afterwards! Thank you for a great walk.

Hauntingly amazing views Interesting & kind of fun. I didn't feel haunted, but the sights and stories were definitely haunting. I was more blown away by the amazing views of Sydney at night. Nonetheless, I love a ghost tour and this did not disappoint.

A walk through history Ghost Host Phil was a wonderful storyteller who definitely set the mood for the group to explore the history of those who once walked in our footsteps.
I must say, Phil did very well handling vocal sceptics as well!

Hangman’s Hill spectral form in photo Great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide. Very interesting hearing about Sydney’s dark past. Took a photo on Hangman's hill next to the Observatory where the hangings took place. In the shot is a bloke looking at his phone. We realised later that there was a spectral form of legs and a head walking beside him. Strange that you can see right through the middle of the figure to the trees behind. The figure looks female with stockings and high heels. Reminded us of the ghastly stories of the working girls and the larrikins of the Push .

Did Tfe Rocks ghost tour last night with 3 friends. We all had a good time. Phil, our ghost host, was personable and very knowledgeable of the area and its rich history. All 4 of us grew up in and around Sydney snd were pleasantly surprised that the tour took us to streets we had never been to and talked about history we hasn’t known about. Although we didn’t see any ghosts on our tour it was a fun night out.

I won’t say I had a poor time. As my partner and I enjoyed the walking history tour we received, however as travellers we FREQUENTLY attend ghost tours internationally and is likely the least memorable. Our guide, although knowledgeable about local history had little to no story telling ability and would always not quite finish a tale he did start. While I don’t require or want a perfectly rehearsed script, some flare for dramatics is necessary during a ghost tour. Over all our guides performance was mostly regurgitation of information we could have googled and lead nothing to building an atmosphere or excitement. I feel it in poor taste to name his name, but it may be worth looking into some more personality hires if you really want this tour to leave a lasting impression.

Me and my fiance had a such a great time on this tour. Walking thru The Rocks at night was very atmospheric and scenic. Our tour guide was a great storyteller and knew his stuff about all the history. The ghost stories were so fun to hear about! Love it cheers!

Great history and great fun! So glad this Tour had been suggested to us, really enjoyed Lachlan’s impressive historical knowledge and access to underground places you wouldn’t otherwise get into or know anything about! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and very entertaining. The whole group was very engaged with Lachlan's stories and loved being included in reenactments. In every country/city my husband and I travel to we love to do a ghost tour and this one was fantastic!! Our tour guide, I believe her name was Kyla, was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and engaging - the tour was 2 hours but flew by because it was so interesting. She is a great story teller! I also like the mix of ghosts, history, and gruesome stories. We got to go in ruins and the bottom of The Hero of Waterloo Hotel which was amazing! Highly recommend!!!!

Despite the rain, Lachlan gave us a very entertaining night with lots of stories and history of The Rocks. The hangman's tress was a great spot for pics, highly recommended as a must do. Don't forget to have a drink at The Hero of Waterloo at the conclusion.

AWESOME GHOST TOUR Lachlain our guide was excellent. He was in character, knew all the stories. Had a great time. You get to go places that the general public doesn't get to go to. Got a pic of a ghost in a window. It was so good. Highly recommend booking a tour.

Lachlan was a great guide. U know stories just set the ambience of any place u visit. The rocks.. omg.. crazy so when I walk the streets now I hear the real stories. Oh and I got a picture of a ghost and I am going back to some of them to talk to the ghosts. 5 star activity. Highly recommend.

Entertaining and spooky Fantastic tour of The Rocks last night. I didn't know there was so much marcarbe history to Sydney. Our guide was a natural story teller and had the hair on the back of my neck standing up more than once. We loved the ghost stories from The old pub The Hero of Waterloo at the end. Even stayed after to have a drink a see if we could find the ghost that haunts it!

My dreadful experience Do not repeat do not go on this ghost tour pick another .total waste of time and money, thought I was 10 years old sitting around a camp fire telling ghost stories. Tour finished at some pub in the rocks and we were left to find our own way back. Thank God I was with family and they had a smart phone if I was on my own I would have been terrified asked bar tender to call a taxi and was told the taxis wouldn't go there they were black listed.
Pick another tour or you will regret it.

This felt more like an evening walk through Sydney with a tour talking about the history of the city. The host was amazing and very knowledgeable but not scary nor do you get to walk through buildings. Waste of my money. Nothing about ghost, just a lot of talk about history.

Walking Ghost Tour of the Rocks The walking ghost tour was a fun and interesting way to see and learn about the history of the Rocks and some of the dark stories from times gone by! Excellent experience, the tour really worth it. It did set the bar very high for historic tours. The guide took us to places we would never visit by ourselves and they are so important in Sydney’s history.

Very entertaining tour! Such an entertaining experience. Our 'Ghost Host' Lachlan was very knowledgeable about local history with specific details. He entertained us all with the delivery of some riveting stories of murder, mayhem, misfortune, and adventures from the early inhabitants of the Rocks district.

We walked a lot around various sites where Lachlan gave us historical information on the sites, buildings, and people who lived there. I couldn't imagine a more entertaining way to do a live tour of the district.

We didn't see any ghosts, nor did any appear in photos, however it was a great experience! Highly recommend!!

Great ghost tour with some unique locations and a lot of spooky history and stories.

Our guide did quite well to keep the group together and entertained but was a bit quiet and reserved outside of his usual storyline. He also left us in a different location than where we started without guiding us back which can be quite dangerous if you have to walk back alone. There was another guide for the earlier group though and she seemed a bit more funny and friendly.

We had a blast tonight with Phil. The way he spoke about the history was great. We had a full walk right up to observatory hill. Lots of photo opportunities and group participation. Very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. Thanks so much

One of the best ghost tours we have been on! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had some great stories about the Rocks. She was friendly, talkative and quirky. On the tour we had the opportunity to enter a few of the historical buildings and explore them, which elevated the experience.

Quite a good tour. Tour guide was knowledgeable and well presented. Even if you don't buy into the stories it was a fantastic way to view the Rocks area and see the sight. Stopped at an amazing viewpoint of the city and harbour. Don't recommend doing the tour on a busy night as there was alot of people around and the guide was hard to hear at times. Would recommend. Wear your walking shoes.

Our guide was fantastic. She made it worth wild. She was loud and made sure to walk where everyone could hear her. She was so animated and interesting and taught us so much about Sydney! She also showed us so many pics of ghosts she had captured and gave us places to snap a few pics of ghosts ourselves. Truly remarkable! I recommend to do this your first night stay so you can go back to these sights on your own time later in your trip!

This tour was a blast! Our ghost guide Phil was everything you’d look for in a ghostly tour guide. Timely stories, great pic opps, and a dry sense of humor. We enjoyed our time with Phil and all of the history surrounding the Rocks. Highly recommend to get to know the area.

Informative Story Telling through the streets of Sydney! The tour went for around 2 hours starting at the Cadman’s Cottage located at The Rocks. Our guide shared several stories of each location, which were interesting and sharing person photos of visions of spirits that had been observed on previous tours. It was a great way to end my trip learning history of these old buildings and stopping for a quick drink at the most Haunted Pub in Australia after the tour had finished. The Hero of Waterloo which was part of the tour. Beautiful old building. I didn’t witness anything myself, but it was noisy so not sure if this made a difference. Had a great time.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Such a great night, filled with entertaining accounts of history, and tales of what life in the Rocks would have been like for our ancestors.
I went with my 10 year old son, and he loved it (although he was a little sensitve around the harbour bridge area - regarding the treatment of Indigenous Australians back then, and the general feelings felt there) it was educational for him, and brought awareness to how far we have come. Also, two adults and three teenagers were with us in our party plus other guests. Even the teenagers enjoyed the tour :)
I am quite spiritual, and had many feelings throughout the tour. Some of our photos were very strange in comparison to what I saw with my eyes, and the images being different, but no clear indications of presences.
Tour Guide was amazing - interesting, he was interested himself - you can tell he loves the tours and talking to guests, educational, funny too!

my hot take: our guide was 100% a believer and im more of a skeptic so the spookiness of the tour i can’t really speak to. as for the history, it was great and it really made you feel like you were seeing some really special parts of the city.

having been to the rocks several times, it was nice to see a different side of it, but having been on several ghost tours in my life, this one did not deliver on the spooky level.

Me and my girlfriend just went on the ghost tour today and it was an amazing experience, amazing people and especially the tour guide, he showed us many many creepy spots and educated me on the history. I have captured a photo that is absolutely sends chills down my spine I will send a normal zoom and a enhanced brightness and zoomed in photo

No flexibility The company is not flexible nor forthcoming with last minute emergency cancellations. I felt sick 24 hours before the tour. I even wrote an email requesting extension but I was declined any form of compensation. I lost $175 thanks to the company policy. I was hoping to pay a bit extra to secure an extension but the answer was a straight NO. I would not recommend booking the ticket unless you are 100% made up of steel and will not get ill.

Highlight: our guide Kyla’s nuanced storytelling, dragging up eerie tales and whispers from spirits. From the first bat sighting to a peep inside some of the old historical haunts - really appreciated the theatrical narration. Definitely recommend!

Attended Saturday evening with friends and unfortunately the Ghost Tour was not really a ghost tour at all! Would be more precise in calling this experience a History Tour of the Rocks! $45 per head. False advertising and even though the guide was lovely it’s definitely not worth the money. Unfortunately another typical Sydney let down!!

Aussies do a Ghost Tour We found this a very interesting tour and a great way to start off our weekend at The Rocks.
I love history so if you do too you won't be disappointed.
John was very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour which made for a fun tour.
Sydney has some excellent (and sometimes sad) history and walking to sites where events took place makes it all the more interesting.
CV19 still has some restrictions on access to some sites however it is what it is.

As long-term paranormal aficionados, we have joined ghost tours in Ararat (VIC), Beechworth (VIC), Port Arthur (TAS), Geelong (VIC), and Melbourne (VIC), in addition to overseas ghost-hunting jaunts.

We never join a tour with huge expectations. We merely hope for the opportunity to explore, a few silly jumps and scares and some incredible true-life tales. We’re not running around with EMF meters, spirit boxes and smudge sticks, but we love that eerie feeling, you know - when things dont feel ‘quite right’. In the case of The Rocks Ghost Tour, I’m sorry to say that it doesn’t deliver.

If wandering the streets of Sydney and listening to some theatrical/historical tales is your cup of tea, this is for you. Ghosts macabre tales hauntings spooks and jumps not really.

The staff are lovely and do their best, but there is nothing remotely scary or ghostly about this tour.

Even if you don't believe in ghosts the history and beauty of the area is wonderful. Had some strange coincidence's during the night , even my teenager thought it was a great night. Interesting and fun Even though we didn’t see any actual ghosts, (sort of glad about that) we loved hearing the spooky stories about the gruesome murders of the Rocks. Got to see some places of Sydney that I never knew existed.

Our tour group was blessed to have John take us on a fantastic, winding tour along the area's popular haunted locales. His narration and delivery was incredibly inviting, everyone was at ease and enjoying themselves, and learning some very cool facts along the way!
