River Murray Lunch Cruise & Hahndorf/Adelaide Hills Tour
Duration:
Operated By:
Tour through the Adelaide Hills region of South Australia with stopovers at Mount Lofty Summit, Beerenberg Farm and Historic Hahndorf. Then we travel out to the Murraylands to explore the vast and natural beauty that is our River Murray.
Here in South Australia, we source most of our water from the River Murray. At 2508 kilometres long, spanning New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia it is Australia’s longest river and provides a lot of water to almost 1.5 million households as well as farms and businesses. It is the third longest navigable river on the planet, with only the Amazon and Nile rivers ahead of it.
The Proud Mary Boat cruises a small but beautiful part of the river and boasts a fully decked-out period-styled dining area and bar. Enjoy a fine meal and a drink to go with it as you cruise slowly past majestic scenery. Check out the wildlife and experience the River Murray in all its untamed natural beauty. Cruise past the points of interest that you can only really see from the river.
See the wonderful scenery as you take in the fresh air on the deck outside the dining room. Learn of the wonderful history of the area as you relax in comfort with friends, loved ones, or business partners. We will deliver a unique experience that will be both fun and memorable.

The second day we toured the Fliereu Peninsula on our way to Cape Jarvis. Another bakery stop where I got a vanilla slice-another Australian delicacy. We stopped in Victor Harbor and then on to Cape Jervis where Roger helped with our tickets and luggage.
Roger is quite funny and knowledgeable and I certainly appreciated very much his care of my disabled brother. I would highly recommend him for tours or transport. Thank you Roger!
Roger is a very sincere and professional person, and he made our time in Adelaide truly memorable. If we ever return, we would not hesitate to tour with him again and highly recommend Roger at Ambler Touring to anyone visiting Adelaide.

Roger shared his knowledge of the Barossa and wine, which allowed me to look at wine from a different point of view and make better selections. For me, a highlight of the tour was our visit to Corryton Burge. Wow! What a beautiful place! The wines are just as beautiful. I had a wonderful day and I couldn't wait to tell my family what fun I had.
Roger, thank you!
A great experience which will be remembered!

Roger, thank you for looking after me so well!

Our trip to the Barossa Valley was most enjoyable. We visited places I didn't know existed.
The wine tastings were well organised as was the chocolate factory. Lunch at Stockwell Hotel was great. Maggie Beers Farm was the highlight for me as well as the Last Drop Winery, home of Mothers Milk Shiraz.
Roger assisted in taking group photos and even agreed to be in some of them.
Even though I have been to the Barossa Valley many times this was still well worth doing.
Extremely informative throughout the day.
One of THE BEST tours we have had in our worldwide travels.
He was fantastic with communication in the lead-up, helping to plan our itinerary and ensuring the timing at each venue ran smoothly. Roger was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about the regions.
He also happily took group photos for us throughout the tour, which was very kind.
Highly recommend Roger for anyone looking for a reliable, friendly, and well-organised driver for a wine tour in SA!

to fully customise our itinerary. We chose to visit a diverse selection of wineries inbcluding Yaldara, Yalumba, Rusden and Seppeltsfield Road Distillers, allowing us to appreciate the different styles and nuances of Barossa Valley wines, as well as a stop at the Maggie Beer Farm for lunch, and a number of lookouts and points of interest in the region.
Our lovely guide Di had an expert knowledge of the local area, and made this tour an unforgettable experience. We were not only treated to an array of outstanding wines but also given insights into the region's unique history and culture. Di's attention to detail and warm, friendly demeanor made us feel well looked after, and she ensured we had a fantastic and memorable day out. She even bought us cookies!
Our tour in the Barossa Valley was an absolute delight and we would happily book with Ambler again to try some of the venues we missed. We highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a truly immersive and memorable wine journey in one of Australia's most renowned wine regions. Thank you to Di and Roger for curating a perfect day and for looking after us!

Roger went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and any last minute changes were no hassle for him at all. His knowledge of all the areas we toured were extraordinary.
We would easily recommend booking with Ambler Touring and we will certainly be back again in future to discover more of South Australia.
Thank you again.
