Start your morning your way — nice and easy, with a coffee, breakfast, or a stroll — then meet us at midday for a relaxed half-day wine adventure. We’ll gather at the Arts Centre Melbourne Spire (near the Protagonist café) at 11:45am, ready to depart by 12:00pm sharp.
Settle into your comfortable seat and enjoy the cheerful commentary of your friendly tour guide as we make our way to the Yarra Valley. By around 1pm, we’ll arrive at the first winery, where you’ll take in the valley’s stunning scenery and begin tasting some of its signature varietals, like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
We like to keep things fresh and exciting, so the wineries we visit aren’t revealed ahead of time — a little surprise to make the journey even more fun. At the second winery, you’ll continue your tastings, with the option to enjoy a delicious cheese or charcuterie board (subject to availability) to pair with your wines. Finally, we’ll wrap up at a third handpicked winery, chosen to leave you with a lasting impression of the region.
By around 4pm, we’ll head back to Melbourne with full hearts and happy memories, arriving at Federation Square (ACMI) around 5pm. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a carefree afternoon of wine, laughter, and beautiful views.
Please note we’ve automatically added a surcharge to our prices on certain days such as weekends and public holiday. The additional fee covers the increased operating costs on these days which enables us to continue to provide you with amazing and high-quality tours throughout the year.

Sean’s local knowledge and contacts were amazing. Would go again tomorrow if I could.
Group size was nice. 19 compare to other tour company that may pack pax 40 into a bus.
Tour as descripted by the package.
See photos :)
Our host “Magic Mike” is the best and truly makes the day extra special.
Great value and great variety of wineries, brewery and chocolate factory.
Our guide Posy was amazing and made everyone feel welcome. He had a great taste in music and shared many local artists with us during the drive.
There were 3 wineries which were each unique and not too far from each other. The lunch was very tasty.
Overall the tour was decent - the bus was comfortable, the company was good, lunch was nice and the wineries visited fine. There are some key aspects that could be improved:
- the tour driver tried to dictate seats and told us to sit at the back (even though I get car sick and we came early)
- The tour driver also ignored some requests and just did what he wanted. It seems trivial but on the way home there were some requests for music which he just said no too and played whatever he wanted that people didn’t like (request were asked 4 different times and ignored)
- The wineries whilst nice were too crowded with our large group (there was no seating at any winery we went too, plus the group was too crowded around the area and couldn’t fit). I’ve been on larger groups before and they have always organised seated tastings.
Edit - I have also since been contacted by this company on my personal number telling me I need to take the review down. They were not interested in any feedback and sent multiple messages
This tour has really set the bar nice and high for myself and the “Dancing Kangaroo Tours” future customers. I’m looking forward to my next tour with this company the next time I come to visit Melbourne.
Sean was an excellent guide during our day trip, telling us stories between stops and we had a great day.
The wines were excellent and the food was fantastic. Would definitely go again with them. It was epic mate.
Lunch was fantastic and the group was diverse and nice. A mixture of young and old.
Definitely recommend!!
Really enjoyed the scenery and venues.
Would definitely recommend.
Awesome ???????? Drives well and nice to talk to.
The wineries we visited were Yering Station, Soumah and Helen & Joey. They were impressive and unique. The introduction provided by Sean for each place made it the more interesting. The tastings were generous with approximately 5 different wines per winery. We also had the option to try additional wines too! Overall the Yarra Valley wines were amazing and great value.
For lunch we visited Soumah, our second stop. After tastings we were given a choice of any wines for our included glass with lunch. Soumah wines were great and the views here mind blowing! It’s so green and beautiful. The lunch was a yummy sharing platter followed by mains. I chose the salmon option and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the chicken with rich mushroom sauce and that was also delicious. The lunch was included and really made our experience truly wonderful.
The last two stops were Matilda Bay Brewery and the Chocolate Factory. We enjoyed paddle at the brewery and it was a great experience. Finishing at the Chocolate Factory was a .
Overall this is a truly a wonderful experience:
- customer service 10/10
- wineries 10/10
- bus quality & comfort 10/10
If you’re looking for a true experience of the Yarra valley wineries, this is it!
Would 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting the area.
I would say for a whole day, gorgeous lunch, and the exceptional vineyards that we visited (on top of beer/cider and choc factory) it is exceptional value for money.
The places were beautiful, wine was exceptional, food was awesome, Selina was really engaging and informative.
Amazing trip.
The tour was well paced, covering 3 wineries including lunch, a gin distillery and finally a chocolate & ice cream store. We were very lucky with the weather and overall, we had such a great time and would definitely recommend this day tour of Yarra Valley by Dancing Kangaroos ????????
