Pizzini Sparkling High Tea Our experience with the Sparkling High Tea was wonderful from start to finish. Jai who looked after us was very friendly and informative, nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way to ensure our High Tea was memorable. The atmosphere was relaxing and we were encouraged to take our time over the two hours we were there. We would definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys fine food and wine. The cost was excellent value for money and we will be visiting Pizzini Wines again next time we are in the King Valley.

We had such an amazing experience at Pizzini Wines thanks to Jai. We've done wine tastings all over Australia and overseas, and this was genuinely one of the best (if not *the* best) tasting we've ever had.

Jai was incredibly friendly, fun and engaging from the moment we sat down. He made the whole experience feel relaxed while also sharing so much knowledge about the wines, the region and the winemaking process. We all walked away feeling like we'd actually learnt something, not just tasted a few wines.

What really stood out was how attentive he was throughout the tasting. He even matched different wines to the snacks we had on our table, explaining why they worked so well together, which made the experience even more memorable.

You can tell Jai is genuinely passionate about what he does, and it made all the difference. If you're visiting Pizzini, definitely hope you get him for your tasting - you won't be disappointed. Thanks again, Jai, for such a fantastic afternoon!

What a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, Giacomo made us feel welcome with his smile, kindness, and passion for wine. He carefully explained every wine and shared the winery’s history, creating an experience that felt personal and authentic.

As Italians, it truly felt like a little piece of Italy away from home. The wines were outstanding, particularly the reds. The Nebbiolo was our favourite, and we couldn’t leave without buying a bottle. We also really enjoyed the sweet wine.

Mother's Day 10th of May 2026, we celebrated in style, with the most gorgeous Sparkling Italian High Tea!!! We were looked after by the amazing Anthony who poured 5 amazing Pizzinni sparkling wines, to indulge and perfectly paired with Natalie's sensational and amazing foodie selections ALL home made, beautifully presented on three tier High Tea platters. You have no idea how amazing everything tasted and was presented. The staff went out of their way to make sure our day, was perfect!!! It was so perfect, my partner Ken and I announced our commitment to each other, in the Pizzini Winery grounds. Anthony, Natalie and staff, were so gorgeous, they had no idea until my gorgeous best friend and 'bridesmaid" Jan, told them what we had done. And they presented us with home made deserts, which were so delish, and perfect, for our special moment in time!!! Thank you Anthony and Natalie for making our Mother's Day and our Committment Day, utterly perfect, you are beautiful!!! Now, I just need to work out how to attach the photo and video!!! Im not tech savy 😉😁🥰

A Must visit Cellar Door - King Valley Wine tasting was really good fun, Mario was exceptional. Service, advice, and entertaining. A must to visit. The food on the site, with the outdoor setting was a great atmosphere, and a relax day. Great fun, with great wines.

An absolutely perfect weekend at Pizzini Wines!
We had the most wonderful weekend at Pizzini Wines in the King Valley. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and stunning vineyard setting made us feel right at home.
A huge highlight was the Cooking School with Katrina and Chloe. They were both fantastic — so knowledgeable, patient, and full of fun energy. We learned so much and laughed even more while making delicious handmade pasta and other Italian classics. The class was hands-on, well-organised, and genuinely one of the best cooking experiences we’ve ever had.
Caroline led our lunchtime wine tasting and she was brilliant. Her passion for the wines, especially the Italian varietals, really shone through. She explained everything clearly and made the tasting both informative and incredibly enjoyable. We ended up taking home several bottles of our new favourites!
In the evening, our waiter Giacomo made dinner extra special. His warm personality, great sense of humour, and genuine enthusiasm turned the meal into a memorable experience. He looked after us brilliantly and even helped us choose the perfect wine pairings for each course.
Everything about the weekend — the beautiful setting, the exceptional service, the delicious food and outstanding wines — was top quality. Pizzini Wines delivered a true Italian escape in the heart of Victoria. We can’t wait to come back!

We did the $25 wine tasting and absolutely loved it. The wines were excellent — light yet full of flavour — and each one brought a pleasant surprise. The service was impeccable (apologies for not remembering the host’s name), and we really appreciated learning about both the winemaking process and the family history behind the winery. Highly recommended for both enthusiasts and wine professionals.

Stopped in for an elevated tasting one afternoon and it was a beautiful experience. Exceptionally well guided, with a great mix of older and newer wines. The Pinot Grigio was a clear standout and we couldn’t resist taking a few bottles home. Also loved the Sangiovese and Nebbiolo tastings, especially comparing old vs new. Sitting out in the garden on a perfect summer day just topped it off ☀️ 🍷

Great vineyard, love the Italian varieties Puzzling wines set the standard for Italian wines in Australia. If you call yourself a wine buff you can’t ignore the King Valley and it all starts at Pizzini. Great wines, huge variety, but they do charge for their tasting.

Had one of the best wine tastings I’ve had. The server was so knowledgeable, telling us all the stories of the people behind Pizzini. Left with several bottles of Sangiovese and a spritz!

Wine was great. Not sure about the take away wooden cutlery and paper plates for main meals... 😒 pizzas came out in a pizza box... Two kinds of Gnocchi and both were very different (bolognese is closer to a lasagne, all smashed together). There seemed to be a lot of assumptions being made by staff resulting in mixed up/incorrect orders. One meal was missed. Their food menu has at least one incorrect GF statement. Nice venue, but we were put out the back near the road...

Had a wonderful wine tasting at Pizzini. Giacomo was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable about the King Valley and the Italian wines, and explained everything with genuine passion and ease. Being Italian himself really added to the experience. Relaxed, engaging and thoroughly enjoyable — highly recommend. Absolutely loved everything Giacomo recommended!

A birthday celebration extraordinaire! We undertook the Ultimate Winery Experience. We arrived at the winery to find a table for two set up and a number of glasses promised us an afternoon of tasting food AND wine. It was wonderful and our host Giacomo was an expert on everything we tasted. After lunch it was off the Mountain View Hotel for a rest followed by a 4 course dinner again with some outstanding wines and again Giacomo was on hand to tell us more about the food and the wine. As part of the package we stayed at the hotel overnight. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend you do it as a celebration or just do it!

Had the pleasure to experience a wine tasting with Anthony and Duncan. I not only loved the wines (particularly the brachetto and riesling), but the knowledge, stories, and recommendations to pair for my upcoming dinner parties was stellar!

Beautiful surroundings, friendly, attentive, and welcoming staff, delicious food, and beautiful wines.

Pizzini wines were great, providing a nice introduction to the Italian wines the region produces. We went during winter and Pizzini were one of the few places open on the weekday we went.

Special shout out to Giacomo, our amazing sommelier, who happily answered all our questions - sharing his expertise from his extensive study and practical experience, whilst talking us through the tasting. Really great spot, highly recommend Pizzini wines if you visit King Valley.

A fun filled afternoon sipping bubbles! Pizzini specialise in Italian varietals and this experience was a fun and light-hearted way to enjoy Pizzini's full Prosecco range, alongside a delicious cheese plate featuring local Milawa cheeses.
Staff were attentive, explaining the differences between each of the wines, but also allowed you to relax and chat as you compared the four Prosecco samples and accompaniments. A great way to catch up with friends

A beautiful afternoon with excellent food and wine. We had the sparkling high tea and it was amazing. The weather was perfect and we sat outside in the beautiful gardens. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the high tea and the very generous tastings of their 5 sparkling wine. It was a really enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend it.

Mad March Break This was our second visit to this lovely winery. We booked in for the $25 wine tasting. Our host Anthony was marvellous, his knowledge of the wines was outstanding. He made us feel very welcome. Well worth a visit, can’t wait to return 🥰

A taste of Italy We've been to a lot of cellar doors around Australia but Pizzini would have to be in the top two or three. The friendly and knowledgeable staff were really engaged in making it a great visitor experience. Lovely rustic room with comfortable seating for tasting and of course the wines are outstanding. Where else can you taste verduzzo, canaiolo, teroldego and other delicious Italian varietals that have been overlooked in this country for far too long. Prices were very reasonable too.

Make sure you add it to the list when visiting King Valley.
Ps..there is a fun little General Store in Chestnut 5 minutes down the road that might take you back 20 years that has excellent light lunch options.

When we started asking around for good wineries in King Valley that specialise in Italian varieties, Pizzini's name came up repeatedly.

The location is beautiful with lush lawns, plenty of shaded outdoor seating, and comfortable indoor spaces. The staff are incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about both wine and the local area.

Anthony, our server, was an absolute delight. His knowledge about each wine felt genuine and unrehearsed. You could tell he was recalling his own tasting experiences as he described them to us. He shared insights about the Pizzini family and even the artwork on the wine labels. Every question we had was met with a thoughtful and detailed answer.

The wine itself is exceptional and very reasonably priced. We loved it so much that we became members and left with dozens of bottles, including Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, and other delicious Italian varieties.

Interrsting Italian Wines Pizzini Wines do it well with an interesting range of mostly Italian wine varieties and a good qulaity grazing platter in a very pleasant environment.

Always have a fantastic experience here. The wines are excellent with a wide range to suit all tastes and budgets. Staff are so friendly and helpful, there's a genuine family feel to the winery. The setting is beautiful too. An excellent quick stop on your road trip or longer visit if you're staying in the area.

Beautiful location, great wines but be prepared to have to serve yourself. Staff shortages especially since Covid are well known, however at least some attempt at a little bit of customer service and assistance in a difficult situation would have gone a long way. The winery is set in a beautiful location and the grounds and surrounds are pretty and quaint. The wine is good and the salumi plate was adequate but having to carry trays of wine, wine glasses, plates, cutlery and water over a distance through a courtyard and over the lawn to a far away table is just not one of my finest skills. I'm glad I made it without toppling or losing the tray. I might add that I'm no spring chicken and wondered if I would have been given the same look of nonchalance, had I come in with a walking stick or a Zimmer frame! Strange thing is that the single salumi plate was delivered to our table a short time later by a staff member! 💡PS. I have since found the wines are available through Dan Murphy, so unless you want to see the beautiful location, you can sample the good wines without having to visit the winery and it's self service. Also there are two venues close by that do have provide table service.

If you drive past this place and don’t stop, you’ve made a terrible mistake. We participated in a sit down tasting and the choice of wines is vast. We loved the range of Sangiovese and Nebbiolo’s. Our server was impressively knowledgeable and nothing was a hassle and is to be commended for her customer service.

Lovely wines, really friendly, informative and helpful staff and nice atmosphere. We did a short tasting of wines here in April 2024 and had a good time. Would return.

We spent a long weekend here with friends. Three couples stayed in the magnificent Rosetta’s cottage. This is a beautifully constructed and lovingly maintained example of early sixties Australian architecture, but made with Italian craftsmanship. An exquisite terazzo patio, parquetry floors throughout, high ceilings and large double bedrooms make this residence an absolute delight. The mature plantings in the garden include exotic fruits, and glorious shade trees. We also partook of the cooking lessons conducted by Katrina. Let Katrina cast her spell over you too, especially if you love Italian food. We had a fantastic weekend in a most scenic spot, with great food, interesting wine and good company.

A recent visit to Pizzini Cellar Door was made all the more memorable by the fabulous Caroline (with some assistance from Matt) who guided us through the range with enthusiasm and knowledge. Quite a few purchases followed ????

I purchased the Pizzini food and wine experience for my wife’s birthday, and we were not disappointed.
The staff at both the winery and the mountain view hotel go above and beyond to make this experience special.
They rolled out the red carpet for us and treated us like rockstars. The service is spot on.
The winery itself is beautiful and the wine delicious. There was not a wine I didn’t like. We are now in the Pizzini wine club.
The antipasti style lunch was also perfect.

The mountain view hotel beer garden is a special place, hidden in the trees and this where we had our 4 course degustation dinner. The food again was delicious and wine to match.
There is to many great things to mention about this experience and I would recommend to anyone.

Loved our visit here, granted it was a while back now. Staff were welcoming and warm and the wines we got to try were sublime, you cannot go wrong with Pizzini! I doubt I’ll be in the area again but if I am then I’m coming straight back.

We had a paid tasting here. Frank was amazing, providing facts and history regarding the wines and winery. We really enjoyed the taste journey and education on the wines and area. Great location and setting.

Disappointing We stayed at Rosetta’s cottage and it was very expensive and so disappointing. Stepping into the house is like going back to the 1960s. The garden is very overgrown giving the impression that the whole place is being allowed to run down. Worst of all was that the heating didn’t work and we struck a very cold spring weekend. At the price we paid we expected some breakfast - which seemed to be offered at other establishments nearby. We expressed our disappointment to the host but to no avail.

Perfect Sunny Day Activity Really great experience in an amazing location; well worth the drive from our accomodation in Mansfield. Frank was incredible in our private tasting, going above and beyond with his extensive wine knowledge. Will definitely be returning!

Absolutely amazing little hideaway clean friendly picturesque location and the breakfast hamper left there for me was just right eggs, bacon, beans, bread, butter, milk, oats, yoghurt, jam I couldn’t eat it all, and I would 100% recommend staying here ???? wish I had stayed a few more nights and the Mountain View hotel food wow and I mean wow the Porkchop was cooked to perfection, and I could’ve eaten three more of them ???? the potato, gnocchi, beef and pork Bolognese was the same and the starters the home-made beef and pork meatballs was yummy I didn’t want to leave????

Pizzini Wines is a cosy, friendly and welcoming establishment. You can definitely feel the family vibes and comfort upon the way you are received, from start to finish. There is quite an extensive range of wines and they are all unique and of high quality. I would highly recommend Pizzini for a weekend getaway!

More than a wine tasting - it’s an experience. We enjoyed a sit down wine tasting session with the lovely hostess. We enjoyed many wine tastings for $10. We learned a lot about the grape variety and history.

A true gourmet experience. Our daughter bought us the 'overnight food and wine escape'. We stayed Friday 30th June. Our private tutored wine tasting was booked for midday. On arrival we were greeted with “prepare to be pampered”, and boy were we pampered!
We were taken on a marvellous tasting journey through the Pizzini wine portfolio for over an hour followed by two platters - one cheese, one meat - accompanied by a glass of wine of our choice.
Our accommodation was at the Mountain View Hotel in Whitfield - a very comfortable king room. Dinner was in the hotel dining room.
Just when we thought things couldn't get any better, they did!
We experienced as good a meal as we've ever had - four courses with matched wines. None of our food courses were on the menu - they were prepared especially for us and they were all exquisite.
Each course and wine were presented and explained most professionally. Our young waitress, Jemma, was knowledgable beyond her years about the wines and was obviously very passionate about her role. She explained that Pizzinis provide lots of training - it shows.
Breakfast was continental, supplied in the room.
A most enjoyable experience!

Winery makes its mark Pizzini Wines is a family winery located in the King Valley. The King Valley is in Victoria's northeast. It is a cool climate region, which produces fine wines with are flavorful on the tongue. This area is a relatively recent region, which has made its mark by producing sophisticated wines which appeal to lovers of wine.

Thank you for a wonderful cellar door tasting. Caroline served us and was an absolute delight. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly - we will return again after this fantastic experience and love our purchase of an Il Barone bottle. Thank you for a great afternoon Caroline!

Pizzini Wines is a tremendous place to visit - the wine is outstanding, ALL the staff are friendly, very helpful and the setting is beautiful.
