The perfect winery tour. From start to end, Peter gave us the most special and memorable day! You can tell he was made for this role. He gave us so much insider info on Hobart, he was patient at each winery and you could really see he has an amazing relationship with them all. He joined in the laughs with us all (at us all). Peter was a big part of what made our day. I have been recommending him since the tour and i absolutely plan to do it again.

It was just the two of us on the tour and rather than cancelling due to small numbers, Peter ran a private tour for us! The wineries he took us to were exceptional and the service from each was great. Peter was informative and lovely, he was able to answer all of our questions and provided great knowledge on the region.

Amazing Peter was a wonderful guide- very accomodating and made our group feel totally at ease. He created a day that was perfectly suited to our group and had in depth knowledge about the surrounding areas. The vehicle was new and comfortable and we all had the best day out. Fabulous way to enjoy the Coal Valley Fabulous way to experience the beautiful Coal Valley, taste wine and wander around Richmond! Pick up and drop off at the Travel Information Centre is close to the waterfront and a short walk from Salamanca. The tour starts at 11:15 am allows plenty of time to enjoy Salamanca Market before starting the tour. On our tour we visited three different wineries/ cellar doors within the Coal Valley, each with their own different signature style of wine tasting and atmosphere. It’s a fantastic tour delivered with professional local knowledge and insight!

Enjoyed all the stops! Andrew, our guide, was great! The wineries and wines were excellent and we liked that they were smaller & family owned. The Wicked Cheese was very tasty! Our pizza lunch was so good too! We really enjoyed the day and everything ran on time!

A great gin and whisky tour I have always wanted to learn more about whisky so this tour out of Hobart was perfect for me. We visited three excellent distilleries, each quite different but all offering generous tastings. The first stop included a private tour of a distillery and we were shown the whisky making process.
The drive through Tasmania's spectacular scenery was an added bonus, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. Our guide was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly and he kept the day running smoothly.
The bus was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated having the freedom to choose our own lunch venue in the town where we stopped.
A wonderful day from start to finish. My only recommendation is to arrange transport home afterwards—you'll definitely want to enjoy all the generous tastings without having to think about driving!

What a great way to experience Hobart's food & wine region. What a great way to experience Hobart's food & wine region. Peter is a fantastic guide who has built strong relationships with the owners/managers of these boutique locations & was very knowledgeable about the area.
We got to visit a four different wineries with generous tastings, a cheese factory, had a lovely pizza for lunch. We even had time for a one hour stop with free time to explore the town of Richmond & a bonus stop at a lookout with an amazing view of Hobart.
Highly recommend.

Great Time in the Coal River Valley Our wine tour with @boutiquewinetours was a great success. Peter was both personable and knowledgeable, offering stories and insights about local history and events throughout our time together. He is a 9th generation Tasmanian and certainly knows his way around!

He met the small group of six of us of us in Hobart on time and transported us through the Coal River Valley to four wineries (one where we had homemade pizza for lunch). Each selected winery had a nice array of wines to taste and provided us with enough time together to chat casually and get to know one another without feeling rushed.

At tour’s end, Peter personalized our drop-offs, providing two of our group a trip to the airport and us to our hotel location just west of our downtown drop off. I left my bag with my phone and wallet in the van, not realizing it until we got back to our room. Peter took the time and effort to drive back to our hotel and return my things on his own dime. Overall, a great tour on a beautiful day with a good guy!

Best wine tour of my life. Great tour with an even greater host. The tour is run by a tassie local who shared his knowledge on; where to take photos, history of the areas we were in, and general knowledge of tasmania! It was amazing!
He even suggested I take a photo of my family, staged where we should stand and got the beautiful valley in the background. Such a stunning momento of a beautiful day.

Well Organized, Fun Tour of Mediocre Wine Region The tour was very well organized and included several wineries with approximately 40 wines (primarily whites with some reds) as well as time in Richmond, which gives a good tour of the wine region. The wines themselves were nothing particularly special (granted comparing to French/Spanish equivalents), but overall we had a good time and it's a good way to spend a day while in Hobart

A full day drinking, eating and sightseeing in the Richmond area. We had a great day visiting a cheese shop and 4 wineries, with a tasty pizza lunch at one of them and an hour of sightseeing in Richmond. A great alternative to the cruise ship organised tours at a more reasonable price.

Superb Tassie experience!! Peter did a fabulous job as a tour guide as well as get us to our cellar door wineries okay. We visited three wineries with very personal service and of course delicious wines! The cheese platter was very yummy too. We had a fabulous time and can highly recommend this tour! The group was super fun and it was nice we had some time Saturday morning to see salamanca market.

Would recommend! Peter was such an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable about Tasmania wine and had a wonderful relationship with all the wineries. The wine was great and the company was even better!

A Perfect Winery Tour This was an awesome tour. Our guide Peter was outstanding. We loved the wineries revisited and tge cheese shop.. Very scenic, a great way to see areas near Hobart. We sampled a great variety of wines and lunch was perfect and worthy of five stars! We also stopped briefly in historic richmond, so that was an added bonus. We highly recommend it!

Wine Tour day Pete our guide was amazing. I think the wineries need to have specific people just for tour groups as too long at 1 winery took us away from or made us miss parts of the tour

Great wine tour with Peter! We had a fantastic wine tour with Peter. He was prompt, fun, and incredibly informative, and from the start he helped us set clear expectations for the day. When plans needed to change, Peter communicated proactively and handled everything seamlessly, turning it into part of the fun rather than a disruption. The wine was excellent, the company was even better, and the whole experience felt relaxed and well curated. We had such a great day and would absolutely tour with Peter again.

Boutique wine tours Wow! What a fantastic day this was yesterday. Peter was fantastic. Caring, knowledgeable and very funny. A great raconteur, who kept us amused all day. First stop at Wicked Chesses to give us some sustenance before our wine sampling expedition. The wineries were amazing with a wide range of varietals. The winery owners were very knowledgeable and proud of their wines as they explained the merits of each one. It was a very personable experience. Lunch was delicious with a wide range of pizzas and we got to meet Jacks the dog, very friendly and rambunctious in a good way! A pleasant stop in Richmond, a very historical town, with the gaol being worth a visit. The day would not have been as enjoyable without Peter, whose vast knowledge of his beloved Tasmania was highly evident and amusing. This is a tour not to be missed.
