Our mistake made us 1 hour late and Ultimately Sydney graciously provided a wonderful tour anyway! Rohan waited for us and made the day fun and informative. Sydney memories It was a wonderful tour to see the city and all the neighborhoods and beaches surrounding Sydney. We even saw whales off the coast. Excellent guide who explained the history of the area.

Awesome tour Yesterday morning we were picked up by two charming tour guides from Ultimately Sydney. Their knowledge of the usual and unusual historical sites around Sydney was a refreshing change from the standard scripted tour. They also took the time to point out the different architectural styles around the city and how they changed as the city evolved.

Sydney neighborhoods Food Tour Helen was a fantastic guide. It ended up just being my wife and myself ..so she was very flexible on the food tour. We had a couple of food stops in various neighborhoods, a Gin distillery, and ended at a wine tasting with a charcuterie board. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend their food tour for a unique experience!

Great day touring Sydney with Helen Our tasting tour of Sydney was a highlight of our trip to Australia. Helen made the day a memorable one with her choice of locations and her extensive knowledge of the city. When we visit Sydney again, we will definitely book another tour with Helen.

Great tour It was a nice tour. The tour guide is easy to understand and able to control the timing quite well. I wish the back of the seats of the tour bus is lower so it would made it easier for the people sitting at the back to enjoy the view.. Overall, the tour itself was great and I would recommend it to anyone who only have half a day to tour Sydney and without their own vehicle.

We only had a couple of days in Sydney so we used google to search for foodie tours that showed off food that was uniquely Sydney. After doing a little research we chose Ultimately Sydney. Since there weren’t any small group tours available during our stay, we booked a private tour and are extremely glad we did. Helen took the time to ask us about our expectations and preferences. Over the course of several email exchanges she tailored an experience that was exactly what we asked for. We can’t say enough good things about Helen. During the tour she ran into a significant traffic snarl. She was able to pivot and offer us a slight change in our schedule that would keep us from sitting in traffic for over an hour. We greatfully accepted the change.

One of the best ways to see the city The Story of Sidney Tour by Ultimate Sydney was an amazing way to learn the history of Sydney and see some amazing sights. Helen was the best tour guide and took us from the Rocks to the harbor to Bondi Beach the tour was well worth the time. Helen took the time to explain how the city was founded and built up, taking us to some of the key area that spurned growth and made Sydney into what is is today. I reccomend this tour for anyone looking for a good overview of the history of Sydney and want some really great photos and memories.

Getting to Know Sydney My husband and I were very pleased with our tour of Sydney. Helen and Jeff were well informed and passionate about Sydney and its history. We learned a lot and saw many of the areas we were learning about.

A great way to learn the rich history of Sydney! One of the best city tours out there in Sydney! I am glad I booked a city tour with Ultimately Sydney because she did an amazing job of storytelling, telling us with great depth the history of Sydney and how it came to be as it is today. From the Aboriginals, to Captain cook first arriving on the shores of Sydney to Macquarie and his great contributions to the development of Sydney, she made every view of Sydney memorable with her rich knowledge of history. I could imagine very well each part of history unraveling at every stop we made and she was a gem for suggesting all the best places to eat and the best local markets. I highly recommend this tour!

Story of Sydney Tour We highly recommend the Story of Sydney tour. Our guide Helen was delightful and very engaging. We had a (small) group on our 3.5 hour driving and short walk tour of Sydney. Great tour with great guides!

The Taste of Sydney tour was fantastic. Our guide, Helen, was fun and knowledgeable. The tour inc lunch at Bangaroo, beer tasting and snacks at the Tram Shed, an extensive gin tasting, cake and coffee and a wine tasting. So much fun and so much food and drinks! Highly recommend!

Fantastic Food Tour! My 21yr old daughter and I had the pleasure of taking this tour recently and it was amazing. Our guide, Helen, picked us up from our hotel in the Rocks, picked up another guest and away we went. We visited so many different areas of Sydney and at each one Helen shared fun and interesting information. AND the food and drinks! First stop.. lunch at Lotus in Barangaroo which was delicious Chinese food. Second stop.. the tram shed sampling beers and another platter of snacks. Third stop.. an incredibly fun gin tasting. Great way to see Sydney We ended up with a private tour with Helen. It was a great way to see the city and the highlights in a 1/2 day. Helen gave us a great tour, lots of tips and ideas of what do in our free time and lots of tips on restaurants.

Ultimately - The Best!! I booked with Ultimately Sydney because I wanted to experience my Sydney visit as a local (even though I was a tourist).
We did The Story of Sydney on the first full day of our visit. We were introduced to various neighborhoods throughout Sydney. As well, we toured all the way out to Bondi Beach and beyond. We got all the details that only a local would know. This alone was an incredible experience.
On Day Two we were back out with Ultimately Sydney and the The Taste of Sydney. This took us thru the flavors of the towns surrounding Sydney. We not only experienced casual cuisine in Darling Harbor and a unique experience at the Tramsheds, we also visited a local winery, a small Gin distillery, and a wonderful watermelon cake dessert.
In order to truly have a local experience it is important to tour the areas, listen to the stories, and eat the local food offerings.
Helen, our guide, gave us the ultimate tour(s). After the second day of touring, we were able to navigate the town and eat like we were long time residents.
I would highly recommend both of these tours if you are visiting.
I would definitely tour again during my next visit.

Story of Sydney This was a semi-private tour taking us to all the major sights expected and more in Sydney; Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Mrs. McQuarrie's chair, Circular Quay, Bondi Beach, North Head, Chinatown etc. We were given plenty of opportunity to get out and walk or take photos. The tour guide took photos of us on our phones. He was very informative and right away determined what his passengers were interested in, for example since I had been at a music festival in Perth he pointed out the Conservatory of Music. It would have been helpful if we had had a map of Sydney to get a better bearing, but all in all the tour exceeded my expectations.

informative and easy to do We were so happy with this tour and it provided a much needed orientation to the vast city of Sydney to us newbies. We knew we were not going to see much in our short, first-time stay in Sydney, so booking this tour proved to be an excellent, efficient way of being properly introduced to various areas we never would have made the time to see on our own. We were staying in the center, so we got a hotel pick up, which was very convenient. Our guide Evan was very information and did a commendable job of navigating us through the pre-New Year's Eve street closures. I would have been a frustrated wreck trying to re-route my way around the many obstacles that were (temporarily) in place the day of our tour, but Evan was cool as a cucumber and made sure that we saw the main areas of our itinerary one way or another. The tour included a good balance of drive-by tourism and stops along the way where we could get out, take pictures, grab a quick bite or drink or go to the restroom. I came away knowing much more about the different sections of the city than if we had try to figure this out on our own. I recommend doing this early in your trip so you know what areas you might want to return to on your own, but even as a last day "summary" activity it is worth doing.

Fantastic Sydney Tour Our tour of Sydney with Helen was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and prompt. She pointed out historical places around Sydney, then to Bondi beach and surrounding areas. We ended the tour in The Rocks where she showed us a fish restaurant, Fish at the Rocks, to go to for lunch. Absolutely fantastic. We even returned for another lunch. Beautiful Sydney Helen was an experienced and very knowledgeable guide. The tour began and ended in “The Rocks” ~ the oldest part of Sydney. We drove around the city and she pointed out historical points of interest as well as highlights of modern Sydney. We then headed to the suburbs and Bondi! Helen answered all the questions members of our 5 person group had. I highly recommend this four hour tour.

Half day tour of Sydney Helen was my tour guide for this half day trip and was amazing. She was very informative and made the tour interesting and fun. We visited all the places listed in itinerary and drove through various suburbs learning about Sydney’s history. It’s an extremely relaxed and great way to see What Sydney has to offer.

Great way to experience Sydney! Our family went on the Rags to Riches tour and had a wonderful time. We learned so much about the city of Sydney's history and enjoyed sampling more of the cuisine and drinks. The views and hidden gems we saw along the way were amazing. Great Food, Great Company! I bought the Ultimately Sydney Rags To Riches culinary tour for my fiancés birthday and we had THE BEST day. We both live in Sydney but wanted to explore our own backyard and a precinct we love and Helen's knowledge of The Rocks area is second to none.

We discovered little gems we didn't know existed, the food was delicious (as were the drinks!) and it was a super easy stroll around discovering the historical pocket of Sydney.

Helen's enthusiasm is infectious and it was so lovely meeting her. We'll definitely be investigating other tours!

Had a wonderful time on the Gourmet Icons tour with Helen this afternoon. We visited 5 establishments that are family run. They ranged from antipasti at Rainieri's Deli in Five Dock, the Sydney Fish Market, meat pies at Harry's Cafe d'Wheels in Woolloomooloo, a beer tasting at the Old Fitzroy Hotel and topping it off with totally addictive Messina Gelato in Darlinghurst. Helen drove 10 of us in a very comfortable van through the different neighborhoods where these establishments are located and along the way provided a very informative and entertaining narrative.

HELEN was an excellent guide for our Story of Sydney tour. She was knowledgeable and made the four hours fly by! One of the best tours we have had in our many travels.

We had the most wonderful food tour of the Inner West last weekend Saturday 12th August 2017. A decades old Italian deli, Croydon Park pastries, Marrickville - Vietnamese rolls, Greek Butcher, Bakery and Portuguese tarts (YUM!). All of this topped off with the Urban Winery tasting and a cleanser at Young Henrys!!
