We offer two different swim experiences during our Wild Dolphin Cruise. A Front Swim and a Back Swim. During a typical tour, customers will get the opportunity to try both swim experiences.

Temptation is the first vessel in South Australia to be given a license to swim with and study these magnificent mammals and has been operating successful dolphin swim and watch tours from Glenelg since 2002. 


This is possibly the only cruise of its type, where we don’t go to the dolphins, they come us, something has taken many cruise to achieve. 

We offer two different swim experiences during our Wild Dolphin Cruise. A Front Swim and a Back Swim. During a typical tour, customers will get the opportunity to try both swim experiences.


Front Swim Experience:

Lay down and feel as if you’re a part of the dolphin pod, our Front Swim is an experience you don’t want to miss. 

Our custom made Front Swim net is secured between the bows of Temptation and allows customers to experience wild dolphin swimming within arms length, playing and socialising on the bow of Temptation 


Back Swim Experience:

Submerge yourself in the water with our Back Swim Experience, an amazing way to view wild dolphins in their natural habitat. 

Our Back Swim Experience allows customers to interact with dolphins from a truly unique perspective. Jump in and hold on to our mermaid lines off the back of the vessel and enjoy amazing interactions our wild dolphins offer. 


**Please note: We operate both swim experiences throughout our Wild Dolphin Cruise and rotate customers between the Front Swim and Back Swim Experiences to evenly spread interaction time with the Dolphins. Children from the age of 9 years old are allowed to swim**

Please arrive for boarding no later than 15 minutes prior to the boarding time (please check your order for the departure time). Our cruise departure times are sharp. In case of late arrivals or no-shows, your booking will be non-changeable and non-refundable.


Boarding Location: Marina Pier, Glenelg – at the bottom of the stairs/ramp in front of the Oyster Bar. 

 

Temptation is a fully licensed venue, so strictly no BYO. You can however bring food onboard. Temptation is a stable catamaran, therefore the most stable vessel on the water. However, if you are concerned about experiencing sea sickness we recommend purchasing medication from a chemist. We recommend taking 30 minutes prior to the cruise. As this is a boat tour, we recommend wearing suitable clothing.


Temptation Sailing Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather. We are constantly monitoring the weather forecast and will contact all bookings with as much advance notice as possible if the weather conditions do not permit us to run tours safely. Please note – due to the potential inaccuracies of forecasting and unpredictable nature of the weather, our tours may not be cancelled until immediately before departures in some situations. We strive to avoid this wherever possible, however in some situations it cannot be helped.


Bookings cancelled due to inclement weather conditions will result in a full refund or rescheduling of the booking.


If you wish to cancel your booking due to inclement weather before we make the call, our regular Cancellation Policy will apply.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please note there is limited raised seating on board. Cancellations must be made (via phone or email) and received by Temptation Sailing before the time constraints detailed in our cancellation policy. At least a 50% deposit of the total booking fee in required to secure your booking. Remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days prior to cruise departure. Temptation Sailing reserves the right to release any seats that remain unpaid within 7 days of the tour date. Bookings of 5 or less passengers – If cancellations are made less then 24 hrs prior to scheduled departure date or failure to show, sorry no refund or reschedule. Bookings of 6 or more passengers – cancellations within 7 days of departure date are charged at $50.00 per swimmer and $20.00 per watcher. If cancellations are made less then 48 hrs prior to scheduled departure date or failure to show, sorry no refund or reschedule. Missed tours cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Cruises may be cancelled last minute due to unforeseen weather conditions. If Temptation Sailing cancels any cruises due to unforeseen weather a full refund of the cruise amount paid will be refunded or you can reschedule for an alternative date. Children must be 9 years old and older to participate in the dolphin swim, anyone under this age can do the dolphin watch. Not suitable with people with a pace maker, must be of relatively good fitness.
