Wow Rosie and her mob were wonderful, knowledgeable and generally fantastic. She walked out alone with me when I got overheated. She contacted me afterward to be sure I was okay.

I strongly suggest if you do this tour, fly from Kunanurra. Three hours each way from Broome. Very good Broome Aviation pilot but middle row seats were both uncomfortable. Need new padding before next season.

The best of Purnululu National Park This one day Kingfisher Tour from the park entrance was enjoyable from start to finish. The road to the park from the main highway was rough, but Rosie drove through the water crossings and corregations with skill and ease. I enjoyed the First Nation stories about the creation of the gorges, the tips on bush tucker, the flora, and information about the termites. Rosie knew all about the park and surrounding area, and could answer our variety of questions.
This tour took us to the northern sites, Stonehenge, the lookout, and Echidna Gorge. It didn't end there, we visited the south side, Cathedral Gorge, the start of the Piccinney Gorge walk, and the best was last, the Beehives!
We were constantly encouraged to stay hydrated. Our lunch satisfied our growling stomachs, after a morning of exploring. We ended our day with a sweet treat, and cheese board before we hit the knarly road back to our vehicles at the highway.
I will remember this day.

A full packed day at The Bungle Bungles We had the best day with Ethan. We were picked up right on 6.30am and right from getgo he made us feel so comfortable. His knowledge was extraordinary. Nothing was a bother. He was so informative. He explained the ways of the people before us and their culture perfectly. The Bungle Bungles are just magical. We were taken to all the places I had expected and more, we were never rushed and were given plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere. We were very lucky to be the only two on the tour that day, which made it even more special. I would recommend this highly to most avid travellers who are looking to see these beautiful parts of our country. It was well worth the price, we had no issues, and Ethan was an absolute wealth of knowledge and so prepared to share this. It was really easy to book. We felt the time we spent was just perfect, if we came back perhaps we would stay the night but it wasn’t necessary. The meals provided were great, especially the Matso at the end of a perfect day.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ☺️

Incompetent tour operator My wife and I were left stranded at the entrance of Purnululu National Park by Kingfisher Tours, 290km from Kununarra. We got there 30-minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. No-one from Kingfisher came to collect us.
I was eventually able to make contact with Kingfisher 2-hours after the prescribed pick-up time, only to be told that the pick-up time had been rescheduled one hour earlier the time specified with the booking. We were then left in limbo for hours before making our way to Kununarra.
Kingfisher insisted it was not their fault because apparantly a text message was sent to an incorrect telephone number. No email was sent and no confirmation sought from us.
After enduring huge distress, disrupted holiday plans and missing an opportunity to visit the Bungle Bungles, matters got worse. We had to nag by email for many weeks, and eventually threaten action before Kingfisher provided a $980 refund.

Learning on country Bec and Ethan make a great team, providing seamless tranfers, great insights and attention to comfort and detail. Bec's songs, stories and depth of cultural knowledge made the trip an unforgettable and moving experience.

Yes the road in is beyond bad, but once you get past that, you are going to experience incredible hospitality and knowledge and leave with a new appreciation of our country. Rebecca our guide, there is no words. What a women to be around. If there was more of her this country would be in a better place. She is a gift. Ethan our driver, made the day so much fun, he was always making sure everyone was happy and comfortable. Other tour guides really could learn some lessons on customer service from these guys. Everything was 5 stars. Well done to you all.

Only 5 stars? They deserve more The only reason I’m giving a review of 5 stars is because I’m not allowed to give 10. I can’t rate this tour high enough. After initial issues out of their control Rosie went above and beyond to ensure our day went ahead. Ethan was great getting us there and back and kept the chat interesting and was quite knowledgeable. Then there is Rebecca the guide. A girl from the local tribe she was both knowledgeable and entertaining. I seriously doubt you could find anyone more qualified to show you Purnululu, or anyone who could better entertain you while doing it. It’s worth the price of the tour just to hear her sing in the gorges and eat her damper, which was as good as I’ve ever tasted. If you want to see Purnululu (Bungle Bungles), there could be nobody better than Bec to show you. No wonder she has won awards. Thank you guys. This memory will be with me forever.

Fab day trip A really enjoyable. The Pilots were great, their commentary enhanced our experience. The walks enabled us to explore the spectacular Domes and Chasm. Not difficult! We were fed so well throughout the day. Really felt looked after. Thanks to all the team.

Wow just wow Bungle Bungles are absolutely amazing and this was a memorable trip! Not a comfortable or relaxing one as the road is terribly rough and the bushwalks were at my limit of fitness. But I am so glad I did it before I got any older or more crocked! I have some spectacular photos. For anyone who is younger and fitter, plan to spend more time in this great park, you won't be sorry.

MUST DO PURNULULU Our day at purnululu national park started with a fly over, seeing this natural treasure from the air amazing. Then we had breakfast with Aunty Bec, BEST damper we have ever had ️ 4wd to echidna chasm with Aunty Bec who told us stories and history of the land we witnessed the sunlight enter the chasm and then off to a look out to take in the beauty and the scale of the range. Lunch was waiting for us at the visitor centre prepared by Mia and Rosie, DELICIOUS. Another 4wd trip to cathedral gorge with Aunty Bec with more stories and a song in the gorge BEAUTIFUL️. Kingfisher Bungle Bungles (Purnululu) 4 WD very small group tour - Amazing We have just done the 2 day overnight 4WD tour to the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu). It was fabulous. Rebecca was our driver and indigenous guide. She was amazing. So much knowledge imparted about indigenous culture. We did walks into Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Gorge. Rebecca sang haunting local songs to us. ( I thought my blokey husband would hate this but even he found it moving!) we stayed over night at the Bungle Bungles resort in the park. We stayed in gorgeous tents with on suites. The food was great for dinner and all the lunches and teas we had. Damper and bush honey-Yum. Only six on trip, nicely paced, all on schedule - highly recommended

Fabulous Purnululu with Kingfisher Tours Kingfisher Tours provided a memorable, rich, unique experience of Purnululu. We had thought that the best was over with a birdwatching tour with NT Bird Specialists, but found an entirely different adventure with Bec Sampi, our Aboriginal guide opening our eyes to the ancient landscape and its stories, ancient, past, and present. Her singing in the Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm are etched in our memories. Her stories of tragedy and heroism in the Aboriginal history of the Kimberley, the stories of the Dreamtime, her yarning about family life on Country and beyond told against the background of the ancient, sandstone Kast domes bought the country alive for us. The generosity of spirit, the humour and guiding skill created inspiration and expanded our worldview – we have been enriched by this landscape and our few days with the special people from Kingfisher Tours.

Great Safari 15 years ago we did a fly in tour of Purnululu, and we always said that one day we would come back and do a tour where we could walk into this spiritual area. In January we found the Kingfisher tours 4WD 2 day safari from Kununurra. We completed the tour yesterday, and it was amazing. Little did we realise just how deeply moving, yet fun it would be. Our guides Bec and Mia were great. Personable, professional, knowledgeable and very caring. Day 1, travel to Purnululu with morning tea at Warmun, lunch near the visitor centre, and then to Cathedral Gorge. What s privilege to have Bec is our tour guide. She gave great information about the geological and more importantly the cultural elements of the Gorge, welcoming us to country and then singing for us in the perfect amphitheatre of the Cathedral. Then to our glamping accommodation, and a 4 course meal which was fantastic. Day 2, breakfast and then out to Echidna Chasm via a few other great information stops where we walked a bush tucker loop and learnt so much from Bec. What to say about Echidna Chasm! Walking in along the river bed of stones as it became narrower snd the colours more vibrant, we were given more cultural information by Bec, along with the geological history. To sit in one of the chambers and Bec sang to us again, amongst the colour and beauty was perfect. Once we hiked back to the cars it was lunch time and time to say goodbye to Bec before Mia brought us back to Kununurra via the Warmun art gallery. What can we say, other than thankyou Bec for sharing your story and country. What an honour and privilege.. Would strongly recommend this safari.

Bungles Say Trek What an absolutely phenomenal experience this trip was from start to finish. Our pilot Aaron was absolutely awesome, super friendly,
knowledgeable and very professional. We cannot recommend flying with Broome Aviation enough - they provided a great breakfast before takeoff and a T-Shirt at the end of the trip. The bungle bungles is a definite must do if you're planning to come to Broome. It is one of the most spiritual, jaw dropping and beautiful places that my husband and I have ever seen. We are so very happy that we got to experience this once in a lifetime bucket list trip. Upon landing in the Bungle Bungles we were greeted by Bec and Mia from Kingfisher Tours who welcomed us with a delicious damper with their homemade honey and jam and a cuppa.
We then headed off into Purnululu National Park with local tour guide Bec. We cannot speak highly enough of Bec - she absolutely made this trip one of the most memorable days we have ever had.

We 🫶 Bungle Bungle Yesterday we had an unforgettable tour of the Bungle Bungles. Our tour started in Halls Creek with a breathtaking scenic flight in a Cessna 210 with Haydn at the controls, taking us over the Bungle Bungles. Afterwards, we continued our tour through the park in a 4WD vehicle. Our first stop with Ellie and Mia was Echidna Chasm, where we arrived at the perfect time for the sun to shine directly into it. Next, we went to Cathedral Gorge, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Bec sang beautiful songs for us, giving us goosebumps. It was simply stunning to eat lunch in such a beautiful setting. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the unforgettable view from Piccaninny Lookout and a tour of the Domes with Bec. From the flight to the fantastic itinerary and the team on site, everything was perfect.

It was a truly impressive and unique day for us. We highly recommend Kingfisher Tours. Thank you so much – this is an experience you absolutely must have!

A fantastic, tour led by a guide who shared her knowledge I went on the two-day tour of Purnululu right at the end of the season in early October 2025 and I feel very fortunate that I did. We were a small group led by Bec and it was a magical couple of days. I can't praise Bec highly enough: she is a wonderful tour guide and storyteller. She shared her knowledge with us and was central to everything. We saw few other people during the two days in Purnululu and it almost felt like we had the vastness to ourselves. I could have stayed for days. I loved everything about it and would highly recommend to others.

Very poor, untruthful reason given for cancellation and no communication Booked confirmed and got to airport only to be told when I phoned that trip wa cancelled due to the pilots saying it was too hot. This sounds like an excuse blaming weather due to lack of patrons towards end of season. Of course pilots fly in above 40 degrees heat!!!! I’m a pilot so at least tell the truth!!!!!!

Magical Thank you Kingfisher Tours and Michael our guide. Dreamtime stories, rock art, bush tucker, geology and native flora and fauna! We had it all. But when Michael played his didgeridoo in the cathedral gorge the day turned into a magical experience. Thank you for the most special experience in the Kimberly.

Knowledgeable and Experienced Guide with a Great Sense of Humour Bec took our tour group of 16 travellers and two guides for an amazing walk around the Domes and along Picaninny Creek to Cathedral Gorge. She told us about the traditional food sources, fish traps, storage caves and native beehives. She told us about the birthing pool and the burial traditions. It all seemed more real with Bec’s stories where she spoke of her grandmother and her upbringing and her experience during Covid. The cultural tour culminated with two beautiful songs sung by Bec in her own language in Cathedral Cave. It was a spine tingling experience.

Amazing Kingfisher tours Amazing day trip from Broome to Bungle Bungles. Our pilot Tom was great I was a little worried in a small plane but he made the trip calm and smooth and was very informative during the flight. Our guide on the ground in the Bungle Bungles Bec was absolutely amazing I loved how much information she shared about bush tucker, plants, animals, places and her family stories some of which were hilarious. Purnululu with Bec from Kingfisher Tours The drive in with Bec was amazing, such a bad road but she knew every inch of it. Her knowledge was excellent and interesting. She sang inside The Cathedral at Purnululu, this was a very special treat.

Bad experience The guide lacked enthusiasm and didn’t provide much information about the area. The pace was too fast, and we didn't have enough time to appreciate the beautiful surroundings. For the price, I expected a more informative and engaging experience. I wouldn't recommend this tour if you're looking for a quality walking experience.

Outstanding knowledge, professional, well organised Last week we had a day trip to Purnululu (Bungle Bungle ranges) with Air Kimberley based out of Darwin.

Kingfisher Tours, a local community business, conducted the ground component of the trip, which was a two kilometre walk to Cathedral Gorge. We were very lucky to have Rebecca, from the local indigenous community, as our guide on the walk. She was amazing, able to provide insights into the area from her mob’s perspective and their learnings of having lived in that Country for millennia. Our small group really enjoyed her stories, and sense of humour. She also ensured that we had frequent breaks and water stops during the walk, as the temperature was around 43°C, as well as driving the vehicle.

All our group found this to be a fantastic trip and highly recommend Kingfisher Tours.

Note that if you do this walk it is considered to be a high risk walk, not because of the territory but because of the absence of water and the high temperature. There are a few places where you need to step up on rocks but somebody that is mostly mobile should be able to cope.

Amazing Purnululu tour with Bec Sampi We were incredibly impressed by the way that Bec brought our day at Purnululu to life. Her deep knowledge of the landscapes, the animals and plants and their uses, her storytelling and singing the wonderful songs of her people were just phenomenal. She welcomed us to Country, showed us a birthing pool and other solemn and significant places, and explained the complex relationship between this unique place and the original inhabitants. Without Bec our experience would have been so much more superficial, and we are deeply grateful to her for sharing her knowledge with us.

A memorable outback adventure This trip definitely fulfilled my wish to get off the beaten track and witness vast expanses of untouched landscapes, travelling by light aircraft and 4WD. Our Indigenous guide Bec was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. All the Kingfisher people I met were very hospitable. Bec singing her Welcome to Country at the Cathedral Gorge was magic. Another highlight was hearing dingoes howling during the night while staying at the superb Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge.

Do not book with Kingfisher tours. Do not book with this company. Booked and paid for a bungle bungle tour that was cancelled as the park was closed due to bad weather. Despite numerous promises of a refund we are still waiting six months on.
Told over and over that the refund will be paid but still no refund. Maybe they think $2700.00 is not worth us worrying about?
These people are totally dishonest and should be avoided.
We are going to have to take legal action to get our money back.

Not trustworthy dishonest Whatever you do don't use this company if your trip is cancelled through no fault of your own, getting a refund has been unbearably difficult. The excuses made by the owner Rosie have gone on for 5 months. Promise after promise, lies not good enough.. no it was not us who cancelled the flight to the Bungles Bungles it was them

We all went on a fantastic tour into the Bungles with Kingfisehr tours and it was a truly humbling experience to walk onto country with local custodian for country guides. the stories the singing in the gorges it was truly beautiful . Bungles Day Trek: Cathedral Gorge & Echidna Chasm Our guide was Bec who is a local Gija woman and whose “Country” we were lucky enough to visit and be part of for a day. Bec’s storytelling helped us paint a picture of Purnululu (Bungle Bungles) that only a local custodian could do. Letting us take a glimpse into the way of life, culture, lore and customs, traditions and song lines connected to ‘her country’.

Once we were inside the Cathedral Gorge space and waterway. Bec made us all sit down, put our phones down and become silent as we soaked in the serenity and sacredness of the place. She then sang us a song in local language which I think was welcoming us onto this part of the country as well as honoring her ancestors. It was hauntingly beautiful with the stunning acoustics of the space.

From here we made our way over to Echidna Chasm, which is at the other end of the park. It felt like we were entering ‘Jurassic Park’ as we made our way along the dry river bed, with majestic red rocks and massive palm trees towering over us as we entered the Echidna Chasm. Bec stopping and telling us stories along the way, she sang here too.

Make sure you take plenty of water, sunscreen, camera, good hat and hiking shoes/boots, sense of adventure to soak it all in!

Great Tours, Great Knowledge, Great Fun We were lucky enough to have two tours through Kingfisher Tours, the first was a day Off The Beaten Track with Rosie who was fantastic, vast local knowledge, fantastic scenery and great food to boot. The second was an Extended Day Trip To Purnululu visiting both the Southern Massif including Cathedral Gorge and and Northern Massif including Echidna Chasm. The whole day was amazing as too our wonderful guide Bec .simply remarkable and an absolute pleasure to have her educate us about this Sacred Place. Would highly recommend Kingfisher Tours and these tours to anyone considering them. Well worth it in all respects.

great day tour I went on the Bungles Day Trek tour (with Echidna Chasm), flying out of/ into Kununurra. It was a wonderful day out, the scenery was truly impressive, the walks were great (and not difficult), and the experience was made even better by having a wonderfully knowledgeable guide in Bec.

Fascinating Tour of Bungles We were joined by Bec from Kingfisher Tours at the Airstrip at Purnululu National Park. The land tour was organised by Air Kimberley who flew us from Broome to The Bungle Bungles. Air Kimberley were excellent & supplied us with delicious snacks & a magnificent picnic lunch. Our pilot Flynn provided an informative commentary on interesting sights as we flew over them.
Bec, a local Gija woman, welcomed us with morning tea, including her freshly baked delicious damper. We then drove with her for approx 15mins to the Bungle Bungles. Her tour was incredible. Not only did we learn about the rock formations, but also her culture, customs, ceremonies & history. When Bec sang a Welcome to Country for us at Cathedral Gorge, another 2 tour groups nearby suddenly fell silent & listened. They like us were transcended to another world. We were certainly fortunate to have Bec from Kingfisher Tours as our guide through The Bungle Bungles. The other tour groups were lucky to be nearby & enjoy Bec's Welcome.

Mitchell Falls & Bungle Bungles tours we joined Kingfisher tours for both Mitchell Falls & the Bungle Bungles. both days were GREAT ..Zac the pilot we had both trips made us feel at ease in his small plane and Kohly who was our guide at Mitchell Falls looked after us when crossing wet rocks, climbing up rocks that had nothing to grip on he was always there looking out for us. He was also informative. Bec, his mother was our guide at the Bungle Bungles and she was amazing sharing her culture & country with us. She sang a Welcome to Country to us at the Cathedral and oh my ..goosebump moment. She also shared with us a song telling the story of her grandmother what a special time. morning tea & lunch both days also great and plenty of it.

Enriching visit to Bungle Bungles From the scenic flight in with Zac from Kununurra over Lake Argyle to birds eye view of the Bungle Bungles this tour was awesome. Our guide Kolya enhanced our walks in Echidna Chasm and Piccaninny Gorge/ Cathedral with talks on country and indigenous culture, a highlight listening to another guide, Bec, singing in the gorge. Accomodation at the safari camp was luxury in the outback.

Mitchell Falls Day Trek (k7) - Remarkable !! What an amazing trip!

Arrived at Mitchell Plateau where we met our fantastic guides Kolya aka LT and Treylin aka Dr Dre- Their knowledge of the area was very Informative. LT & Dr Dre has a great sense of humour too!

Then we had a remarkable helicopter flight over the Mitchell Falls - what an experience!! Followed by a leisurely 2.5 hour trek - from the top of the Mitchell and Big Mertens Falls - and swimming at the bottom of Little Mertens Falls - wonderfully refreshing!!!

Reluctantly departing we flew Back to Kununurra at 'Golden hour' viewing scenery of gorges, rivers and the Cockburn Ranges! Arriving back in Kununurra at sunset!!

The only way to see Purnululu (Bungle Bungles) A magical experience of Purnululu and a top-quality tour. Flying over the Bungle Bungles and Lake Argyle, walking through Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm, witnessing art dating thousand of years old, listening to dreamtime stories and the local tribes - it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’ll never forget and worth every penny. Kolya and Eddy were thoughtful and informative hosts who took the time to answer all our questions and share stories about their people and culture. Zac was a friendly and responsible pilot who kept us safe in the air. We were treated to homemade damper for morning tea, a delicious box of goodies for lunch and then a cheeseboard for afternoon tea. Thank you for sharing your culture and country with us!

Must not miss this experience in the Bungles Bec Our First Nations Tour guide was excellent. She was informative and extremely knowledgeable of not only the area but also bush tucker. She had a great sense of humour and provided us with a fabulous performance of a traditional song in the Cathedral Gorge.
She went way beyond her role by sharing some of her wonderful memories.

We had the BEST day with Bec and the boys on the 4WD Waterfalls Tour - morning tea & lunch was superb

Best waterfall trip Beck our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable . She knew so much of the history and cultural of the land. Superb 4WD handling. We saw black rock waterfall, middle spring, Molly falls and the Grotto. My kids swam in all the waterfalls, dived, attempted to fish and had the best time. Lunch and morning tea was served picnic style. Will be back for sure.

Amazing Day out with Kingfisher! Our family of 5 was lucky enough to jump on a ground tour at Mitchell Falls with Kingfisher Tours, and we are so glad we did! The whole day was such an amazing experience and highlight for our family. Our Indigenous guide Kolya was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour and we enjoyed learning about the culture of the area. He was great at engaging our 3 young children who especially enjoyed learning about bush tucker. Kolya was a very professional guide, whilst ensuring we had an enjoyable safe tour. Kingfisher tours were great to deal with and the booking process and communication was seamless. We highly recommend them and look forward to booking another tour with them in the future.

Mitchell Falls day tour absolutely wonderful. The day tour to Mitchell Falls was absolutely fantastic! It was well organized and very informative. The flight from Kunnunarra was amazing, scenery stunning, helicopter ride to the falls with a great view of the falls, swim above the falls and beautiful hike back on the plateau with lunch and more swimming. An outstanding day. Thanks Rosie!

Very Disappointed!!
Not only one but both my tours with this company were cancelled. I had to follow up with this company every time, not once did I receive a call back as stated by them. Seems as though they might need a lot more admin assistance as it was hard enough to get a hold of someone on the phone, even showed up at their office during office hours but it was closed. Rosie who I dealt with was very lovely and did provide a complementary drink bottle for the inconvenience, but it still was very frustrating to deal with this company. I wish I would have just gotten a refund after my tours were cancelled instead of waiting on them to “help” reschedule a time for me.

Brilliant day out including informative pilot on flights and made extra-special by having the wonderful story telling and funny Bec as our Aboriginal guide...she made the visits to Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm come alive with her stories and singing. It is an incredibly beautiful place. Highly recommend the Bungle Bungles flight and walks tour.
