Essential Tour Information
Check-in Details
Please arrive strictly 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure at Berth 5, Coffin Bay Yacht Club floating jetty. The boat departs on time, and we are unable to wait for late arrivals.
What to Bring and Wear
Conditions on the water can turn cool quickly, even on warm, sunny days. We highly recommend bringing a warm jacket and a beanie. Don’t forget your sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and a camera to capture the memories! 📸
Travelling with Children
We warmly welcome children and infants! While they will love spotting marine life, please note the educational talk lasts 20 to 30 minutes. We recommend bringing a quiet activity (like a tablet with headphones) or snacks to keep them entertained. Children must be supervised at all times. Infants not paying for a seat must sit on a lap during busy times.
Surcharges and Details
A 15% surcharge applies on public holidays to support our dedicated crew. Please note this tour does not include a wading experience.

Thank you for booking with Experience Coffin Bay. We look forward to meeting you and showing you the wonderful area we work and live in, and teaching you all about our world-famous Coffin Bay oysters.
As this is a boat tour, please remember to dress appropriately for the weather. It can turn cold quickly, so a warm jacket and beanie are advisable. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera should be on your list of things to bring, along with shoes that can get wet if splashed.
Departure and Parking
- Departure Point: The tour will depart from the Coffin Bay Yacht Club floating jetty, Berth No. 5, on the left-hand side.
- Parking: Parking is available behind the Yacht Club building. (From August 2026 onwards, carpark repairs are underway, so you will need to park at the jetty carpark, on the Esplanade, or in side streets).
- Arrival Time: We recommend arriving at the Coffin Bay Yacht Club 30 minutes prior to departure to park your car, gather your personal items, and locate the boat.
Boarding and Check-In
Please do not wait at the departure point sign, as check-in is at the boat. Make your way down to the boat for boarding and check-in 15 minutes before the tour start time. The sign is simply to let you know you are in the right place. The boat will depart exactly at the tour start time and unfortunately cannot wait for late passengers.
Please note that the Coffin Bay Yacht Club is not part of our business; check-in for your tour with us is directly at our vessel at Berth No. 5.
Food Safety and Tour Details
Unfortunately, food safety guidelines do not allow any oysters to be taken with you at the end of our tour for later consumption. Please only book for the oysters that you think you are happy to consume during the tour.
Please note that this tour does not include the walk-in-the-water in waders experience.

Terms and Conditions
Child Policy
- Children must be strictly supervised by their parents as part of this tour.
- Children who have not paid for a seat at busy times when tours are full will be required to sit on their parent’s lap. If you do not wish for this to happen, please book and pay for them as a child so they have their own dedicated seating space.
Booking and Cancellation Policy
- We require a minimum of 4 persons for this tour to go ahead.
- Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received from the customer (customer-participant on the tour). The cancellation policy applies to all clients (client – the person who booked and confirms the booking with Experience Coffin Bay).
- Tours will be cancelled if the weather is unsuitable. Experience Coffin Bay reserves the right to offer an alternative date if the trip is cancelled by us, or we will offer a full refund on a case-by-case basis.
- No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, or in the case of a no-show.
- A cancellation fee of 20% applies for cancellations made less than 14 days in advance.
- A full refund is available if cancellations are made more than 14 days in advance.
Onboard Experience and Facilities
- We do not guarantee seals or dolphins will appear each trip.
- Experience Coffin Bay Short and Sweet Oyster Farm Tours will include 6 oysters per paying person.
- Our new tour boat is specially built for your comfort and includes an onboard toilet. Please note it can only be accessed by stepping two steps down, with handrails available for assistance if required.
- Marine Toilet Guidelines: Please be mindful when using this toilet as it is a marine toilet and highly sensitive. Nothing but the provided toilet paper can be placed in the toilet. The marine toilet features a plastic crunching mechanism designed solely for marine-grade toilet paper. Blockages caused by incorrect items take an entire day to clear and make for a very grumpy crew and skipper! Please ask the crew for instructions on how to use it before entering.
