Day dreaming from above in Kakadu We were left speechless by this experience. It’s my second time in Kakadu and doing this experience helped me understand the immensity and the importante of the Kakadu National Park, for the Traditional People/ custodians of these lands and for the entire world.
James is a passionate and experience e pilot. Flynn came along with us and gave us valuable information and facts about the territory, its geography and history.
You cant miss this jawdropping experience if you visit the park. 6 stars out of 5

Great flight and experience A last minute decision but glad we did. Best way to see the stunning landscape. Easy to book and questions answered quickly. Facilities and prep was very professional yet friendly. Only 4 in the plane so quite comfortable and guranteed window seat. Pilot was very personable and knowledgeable about the terrain below and able to explain what we were looking. Never felt anxious about the flight. Fair price. Overall very happy.

I did the two hours scenic flight over the Kakadu national park. I had a lot of space as we were with the three of us only. As the plane is small, it can be a bit bumpy, so if you are sensitive for motion sickness, take a pill before you depart. The views are good and you have some opportunities to take photos through the windows. Lots of things are being explained during the flight. I enjoyed it!

This was the most awesome experience. To see Kakadu from the eyes of the sky is truly a blessing that we should all be humbled to access.
The hour flight is the perfect time to experience the views of this Ancient Stone Country and East Alligator River. The landscape colours in late September were an impressive green, unusual for this time of dry season, as late rains brought fresh water to the wetlands. Weaving river,s sand embankments, waterbirds, stone cathedral make this flight once in a lifetime experience.
Flying over Kakadu is breathtaking, a painting in the sky.
The flight crew should be commended for their open commentary and genuine love for this ancient land. I loved the music too. May I suggest Solid Rock by Goanna and Paul Kelly's From Little things Big things Grow.

I was heartened to see the toxic Ranger Uranium Mine in rehabilitation and handed back to the Traditional First Nation Custodians . The Mirarr People.
Thousands of Australians fought for the the end of his toxic uranium mine in the heartland of this ancient and sacred land of Kakadu in the 1990s.
I hope through these flights people understand how sacred and how important these lands are and continue to support sovereignty for these lands for the traditional owners and their continued protection.

A bucket list experience. I have been fortunate to see some amazing places in the world but this trip takes the cake. Hands down the best way to see the Kakadu National Park. Our pilot and guide were major contributors to this experience, with their knowledge and stories, along with the feeling of being in safe hands at all times. I do not have enough words to express how spectacular this trip was. We paid the extra and did the 1 hour flight .JUST WOW!!!!!!

Spectacular Aerial Views – A Must-Do in Kakadu Flying at the end of the dry season gave us spectacular views of Burrungkuy (Nourlangie), Yellow Water Billabong (Ngurrungurrudjba), the Arnhem Land Escarpment, and Jabiru. Our pilot/guide was fantastic – warm, welcoming, funny, and full of knowledge about the region. He made the flight both comfortable and fascinating. Highly recommend this as an unforgettable addition to your Kakadu adventure!

Sunrise flight Thoroughly recommend the sunrise flight. Our pilot said the conditions at the time are great for flying. He was very informative and really looked after us. It was an unforgettable experience.

Extremely enjoyable flight with lots to see. This was a great trip, the only way to really appreciate the scenery and distances is from the air. There were just 6 of us in a twin engine plane we all had excellent window views. Everything was well organised and we had a great lunch. The Yellow River water tour was very interesting with lots of wildlife and close encounters with 'Salties'. Would highly recommend Kakadu Air Tours very professional would definitely do it again.

Hamish was fantastic as a pilot. Excellent commentary, he showed respect to the local indigenous peoples, and played music to suit the situation.

It was smooth and easy. The best for travel sickness sensitive people like myself.

Did the 1 hour sunset flight and it was excellent value and probably my favourite thing on a more than 2 week trip. Shout out to our pilot Ethan who made sure we saw so many different things. Highly, highly recommend!!

What an absolute smashing day with Liam!!!

Don’t get me wrong “A day in Kakadu” is an investment, but my gosh, worth absolutely every penny. From the minute of arrival into the waiting lounge, Liam, our guide and pilot made sure we were constantly informed the whole time while keeping the ball moving.

The whole time the group felt as if we were in great hands and were made sure to have a spectacular time. Not only was Liam very informative he constantly made sure to go the extra mile to ensure we were enjoying ourselves.

If he noticed something on the ground worth seeing he made sure everyone got a look, even if it meant doing a circle or two. This is really refreshing as it never felt like a rushed traditional tour.

Thanks Liam for a great day out. For anyone thinking about it, I’d recommend the experience.

Awesome way to see Kakadu. We only had 2 days in the national park so decided to do the 1 hour flight from Cooinda. Hamish our pilot was amazing and the flight was fantastic we got to see the woodland, rock country and wet lands. Lots of information and perfectly timed in flight songs. Highly recommend if you have limited time and want to experience Kakadu. Also got to see Crocodiles swimming in the Yellow River very cool.

Kakadu national Park by Air The 60 minute flight with Kakadu Air Scenic Flights was a highlight of my trip to the Northern Territory. We saw waterfalls, four, and sacrite Aboriginal sites, and got excellent comentary during the flight from the Pilot.

Family Flight to the Jim Jim Falls We booked the 60 Minute scenic flight and it was worth every bit of the money. Such fantastic and breathtaking views. Sitting in the vo-pilot's seat was a spectacular ad-on.The pilot did a great job in explaining everything in detail. And the ground crew was also very friendly.

Did the 30m heli tour today. Everything was fantastic. Excellent tour of Kakadu and Arnhem Land. Harrison was a very good and informative pilot. Highly recommended.

Scenic flight with Kakadu Air This trip was of 60 minutes duration from Jabiru Airport where Kakadu Air is based. We were in a G8 Airvan, six of us plus the pilot who did the commenary. After a flight safety briefing we were off for an early morning flight over Kakadu National Park, taking in views of the old Ranger Uranium Mine, the East Alligator River, the Escarpment, Stone Country, Arnhem Land and the Magela Wetlands. Only one patch of bumpiness for us, but it was a great birds eye view of this magnificent part of our country.

Amazing Experience Cain was our pilot today and we had an excellent flight ✈️ over Kakadu with an amazing history. This is a must do to experience the wonderful wetland and stone country. Thank you. Wonderful flight.

Awesome experience An awesome scenic flight experience to lay eyes on the vastness and beauty of the landscape which cannot be fully appreciated on land. Worth every penny. Pilot and ground crew were friendly and the commentary during the flight was very educational.

A highlight of our Kakadu trip This was one of the highlights of our trip and an amazing way to appreciate the diverse, beautiful landscape of Kakadu National Park.

Strange but good... We loved this flight but to be honest it was fairly sketchy. The plane was very old, which is not in itself a bad thing, but the two pilots were reading off some printout the entire time and barely spoke to us during the flight. Gorgeous scenery and we survived, so three stars? Prepare to be hot during the flight, which is to be expected and did not influence my review.

Flying High over Kakadu Absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend doing this highly enough. Organisation was easy, friendly admin staff, great pilot - all too easy.

But the actual flight itself was breathtaking with the scenery. You can't appreciate Kakadu fully until you fly over it, even if it is only part of it.

Our sunset 60 min flight with Kakadu Air was incredible! We were nervous about a stuffy bumpy plane ride, but our pilot Liam had us cruising for a comfortable hour of well-narrated bliss. His historical and geographical knowledge of the stone country and riverways were amazing, and seeing the wetlands and the burnoffs in June were an absolutely stunning sight. 10/10 would make this part of your Kakadu adventure, and definitely recommend doing the full 60 minute sunset experience :)

The 60min plane flight was good but the doors off 60min helicopter flight was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. If you get the chance go for the helicopter flight and ask for the doors to be off.

My favourite highlights were flying over the stunning Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls and looking at the rock escapement 'Lightning Dreaming'. So grateful to tick it off my bucket lists.

Incredible experience We initially had a 9am flight booked but when we arrived we were told that the cloud was low and would we be able to come back later so we could have a better experience. We were flexible and were able to return. We received a call at lunch time calling us back and wow, it was so worth the wait. Cian was very informative and professional and we were lucky that we were the only passengers so it was like having our own private plane. Incredible views of the waterfalls. Thank you for your concern about us having a great experience and giving us the option to take the flight later. it made our trip. Highly recommended.

Great way to see Kakadu in the wet season Lovely little 8 seater aircraft with pilot commentary throughout. Lucky with the weather seeing Kakadu in the wet season. Clever pilot got us good views of the waterfalls despite cloud cover. Also very interesting about the area, the ancient ancestral sights and even the filming of Crocodile Dundee in the area.

Kakadu flight and river trip This was terrific; made so by the staff, fracilities and location.In particular Declan the pilot, driver and tour commemtary provider made the flight as comfortable as possible (in stormy conditions -flying round them!) and informative dialogue. Similarly Adam, our boatman was equally knowlegeable about the wetlands and its inhabitants.He afforded us extra time and added detail once he realised our birding interests.We had a great time.

Awesome Kakadu Experience. If you are visiting the Northern Territory in the wet season a scenic flight over Kakadu is one of the things you should consider. The views were remarkable and the commentary from the pilot kept us informed of the ever changing landscape and how it was formed, but also the beliefs of the aboriginal people and their interaction with the land from times past to present. This was well worth doing.

Grateful Mum and I were so grateful for the time Declan gave us on this wonderful experience. The scenic flight was just incredible and the explanations of the land and the views from Declan was very insightful. The yellow river cruise was fantastic with Dennis as the tour guide who had us in stitches for the trip. Would love to return and see the scenery in the wet season. Lunch was delicious and the trip home was quicker which was good considering we were exhausted from our big day in the heat. We cannot find a fault and we would recommend this trip to all for those short on time and wanting to skip the drive.

Kakadu National Park From Above What a way to see Kakadu National Park! I’ve never been a huge fan of flying (although getting better with age) but so very glad I booked the tour.

Our pilot, Owen, was amazing, professional and knowledgeable! Hands down, the best way to see the vastly differing landscapes of this ancient natural wonder.

A cultural day in Kakadu highlight experience, Kakadu Air delivered! Fabulous day doing the Cultural Day Experience with our pilot Ivan who was the best pilot ever, smooth as landings! And great commentary, learnt heaps about what we were seeing which was spectacular. Our guide for the day was the fun Daz who imparted plenty of local knowledge during the day including the Ubirr Rock Art, helping us climb the escarpment, the best view! and taking great photos for us. Daz made sure we were able to see the many crocs at Cahill Crossing at just the right tide time, a fabulous guide and a day to remember, thank you. The day also included a simple but nice and fresh picnic lunch, plenty of snacks and chilled water as well as an enjoyable indigenous guided cultural boat trip up the East Alligator River, seeing more crocs, birdlife and an optional brief walk in Arnhem Land. All too soon we were back on the plane with Ivan and Daz back to Darwin having had a truly memorable day in Kakadu. Kakadu Air were excellent to deal with from start to finish, lots of communication and very professional, highly recommended.

30 minutes of spectacular views. Our pilot Jack flew us over stone country, Arnhem Land and Kakadu wetlands, giving very clear , interesting commentary along the way. Also of note, we stone Archway and saw remains of the Ranger uranium mine. It was a bit windy but I felt safe with our very capable pilot. The flight was well worth the $159 we paid and I recommend you do this or the 1 hour flight to help understand the vastness if Kakadu. Kakadu Air Services have comfortable pre- flight facilities with air conditioned office & clean toilets. Also a range of refreshments and souvenirs for purchase.

Amazing views, amazing experience and great value.

I went on the Kakadu in a Day tour and it was such a fantastic experience. The views from the air were breathtaking and the close up experience on the Yellow Water tour was wonderful.

We saw loads of crocodiles and bird life in their natural habitat.

The barramundi lunch was delicious and our pilots were friendly and super knowledgable.

Highly recommended and a must do when visiting Darwin.

Stunning Views! My husband and I went on the one-hour scenic flight. The entire flight was gorgeous and we especially enjoyed being able to fly over Jim Jim Falls! Our pilot, Kenzie, gave wonderful commentary throughout the flight and we learned so much about the area. It was also one of the smoothest landings I’ve ever experienced! Definitely a very memorable experience and I highly recommend this tour!

Bird's Eye View - Darwin to Kakadu Booked flight for 2 people but unfortunately my husband was unwell on the day of the flight so had to cancel his booking. Kakadu Air was understanding but booking could not be changed or refunded. Be Aware of the rules!

Flight to Kakadu was extremely informative and enjoyable. Myles pointed out interesting landmarks all the way and added humour to entertain us along the way. Viewing the Alligator rivers winding through the landscape from above was amazing and helped me to appreciate the significance of he Rainbow Serpent in indigenous stories. Looping over Twin Falls and JimJim Falls gave a perspective that is unbeatable. Seeing the massive rock formations, extensive mangroves and floodplains from the air helped me understand the impact of the two seasons experienced in NT.
Unfortunately only spotted one crocodile on the cruise which was enjoyable but restricted due to flooding. The guide did explain the need to conserve Kakadu and how the local indigenous people are caring for the area. I could feel their pride in the continued preservation of the area.
Lunch at the Barra Bar was delicious and ready when we arrived as Miles had booked a table and pre-ordered our lunches. No time wasted in queues! Would recommend the burger.
At Warradjan Cultural Centre we were able to wander through the exhibits at our own pace. Again the pride in the history of the area was evident. The shop was full of authentic souvenirs and the knowledge of the manager was amazing.

Amazing flight from Darwin over the land, waterways, pastoral leases and Jim Jim Falls - great commentary, super friendly pilots and the small Cessna made the flight great . We then went by road into ubirr and saw rock art, hiking, caves and so much more. Day concluded with a cruise up the river with a traditional owner. Lunch was provided and was excellent catering to my dietary needs as well as being kid friendly
We saw all of the highlights in a day, had a blast and would do again! Definitely recommend

LIFETIME EXPEIENCE WORTH DOING Matthew and Hayden were our tour guides/pilots. We saw so much and learned so much. The views were absolutely stunning!!! I am so glad we saw it from the air. It was awesome. OK, I can't find enough adjectives to describe how good this trip was. We had a boat tour of Yellow Waters too, and those waterfalls just took my breath away.

I'm not a good flyer on small planes but the pilots were great - no air sickness.

Don't take another second to consider - just DO IT!

A must-do experience! This flight was honestly a highlight of my entire time in the NT so far. Seeing the true expanse of Kakadu National Park from the air was so beautiful, and at this time of year, it's truly breathtaking. Our pilot/guide Kenzi was amazing, put any nerves at ease and gave excellent information, particularly about the importance of this area to the Aboriginal custodians. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Kakadu = Incredible Kakadu from the road and walks is an absolutely gorgeous experience. But Kakadu Air is able to showcase just how large and breathtaking this dual heritage listed National Park actually is! Kakadu from the sky is unlike anything I have ever seen! And seeing the incredible JimJim and Twin Falls in all their Wet Season glory is unmissable!

Excellent ! A really amazing experience ! This flight allows to realize the immensity of the Kakadu Park. And allows to see the Jim Jim falls in March, while the access road is closed !

A whole new perspective of Kakadu Our family did an early morning 1 hour flight of Kakadu and absolutely loved it.
Our pilot was first class ensuring that safety was of his highest priority closely followed by ensuring that we experienced the trip of a lifetime.
By doing an early morning flight we were able to make the most of the calm, clear air at that time of morning ensuring a more enjoyable flight as well as excellent conditions to view the sights of Kakadu.
I would highly recommend spending the money to do experience a flight of Kakadu because until you do you do not really appreciate the beauty and rugged scenery of this very special part of the Northern Territory.

When Wet Season Closes Access, FLY with Kakadu Scenic Air! We really wanted to see beautiful Kakadu National Park even though it is summer wet season and access to many sites are closed with flooding. Kakadu Air Scenic Flights was a great option to see Jim Jim Falls and others as well as a Birds Eye view of beautiful Kakadu National Park landscape. Our young pilot was experienced and provided great commentary for the flight, very talented. Another advantage in slower season is that we were the only passengers. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience! We were very happy with our private flight over the beautiful waterfalls of Kakadu NP during the wet season. We received a warm welcome and great information from our pilot. The flight to and from Kakadu from Darwin is beautiful. Our pilot was great! Great communication and knowledge! Fantastic day, highly recommended The flight over Kakadu allowed us to see areas not accessible by road. Plenty of wildlife, including crocs and numerous species of birds, close to the boat during the river cruise, followed by a very nice lunch at the restaurant.
