If you have your own surfboard, then you can bring your own of course at no additional cost. Just let us know you are bringing a surfboard so we can make sure there is room on the trailer.

At Double Island Point, the surf is uncrowded, compared to the busy Noosa points. The long sandy point break has waves that seem to go forever! 

This location is not easy to access for most visiting Noosa and the Sunshine Coast, because you need a 4×4 vehicle and National Park permits to get there.

Itinerary (6 hours):

  • Depart Noosa in specialised 4WD vehicles from pick up points.
  • Travel via Noosa North Shore ferry and onto Teewah Beach.
  • Experience the thrill of the Great Beach Drive passing the stunning Rainbow Beach coloured sand cliffs & Fraser Island views.
  • Breathtaking remote beaches > an amazing sense of freedom.
  • Arrive at an untouched paradise, Double Island Point.
  • Home to Australia’s longest waves & many Australian wildlife.
  • Relax, play, explore.
  • Light snacks & refreshments provided.
  • Return trip along the Great Beach Drive to Noosa.

This tour departs Noosa, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast from one of our 6 pick up points in Noosa. When you book your tour, you’ll have to choose a pick up location. If you want to change the pick up location on your booking you must contact us at least 24 hours prior to the tour’s departure. Please meet 15 minutes before departure at your pick up point.

Departure times vary daily as a result of tide times to access Double Island Point along the Great Beach Drive. You can initiate an online booking to check the departure times. 


















Thank you for your Epic Ocean Adventure booking. We are looking forward to giving you an experience you won’t forget. 

Please bring swimwear, sunscreen, a large water bottle, towel, some extra dry/warm clothes as this experience is approximately 6 hours. 

Important: Please make sure you are at your pick-up location 15 minutes prior to the departure time! Because we operate depending on the ocean tides, we cannot wait for latecomers.

We provide some light snacks and water on tour but feel free to bring along your own snacks or something more filling.

The departure time in this email is the estimated departure time for your EPIC tour. Please note that we confirm the departure time with you 5 days before departure. We decide the departure time based on the best kayak, surf and wildlife conditions as well as the tide to access the pristine National Park along the beach. 

On some rare occasions, we have to adjust the departure time the day before your tour due to weather or beach conditions. If this happens, we will contact you the day before your tour.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel tours right up to departure time if we deem changes in weather become too severe to run the tour safely. We will send you an email 5 days prior to departure to confirm your departure time. As our tours operate in a changing natural environment, Epic Ocean Adventures cannot guarantee a desired perfect wave quality and/or conditions and will always select the most suitable and safest location to operate on a daily basis.
