2nd Time Around - As Good as the First! This is the second time we have taken friends from Interstate to enjoy a great time on the River ambling along at a gentle pace to see the sights the river has to offer (there are a lot!). Also the lunch package at the Breakfast Creek Hotel was the "Icing on the cake". Great food, Wine & Beer. followed by a leisurely stroll back to the pier to be brought back to base about 3 1/2 hours later. The crew on the boat were superb.

Wonderful morning on the Brisbane River A last minute decision to book a morning cruise with no regrets!
It was a great way to fill in the morning and see the sights from a leisurely cruise along the northern reaches from Southbank to Breakfast Creek and return.
Morning tea of scones, tea and coffee was included.

Solo but Never Alone! The Skipper and Crew we’re perfect and the lights could never disappoint. They were amazing. It was a little chilly, but they made sure I was comfortable and provided a granny blanket for me and between that glass of wine and my snacks I had the best solo time you could’ve ever imagined! Just chill out and float around on the river for a bit.... Nice and relaxing way to see and hear about Brisbane from the river. Information was interesting, boat was comfortable, morning tea was yummy. Happy to recommend.

Just passing through It was a great way to catch the city highlights when I had limited time! The city is built along the river, as is much of its history.

Friendly, Informative, and Great Attention to Detail The whole experience was very enjoyable. The location was easy to find, the crew were friendly and helpful, the guide provided a good balance of historical and forward-looking information and many interesting insights about the sights and the area, past and present. Tea was provided, which was a nice unexpected extra just after midday.

Good idea if you want to drink alcohol and talk. Wish i could rate this better but the boat seems inferior to the fifty cent cat. The cat is cheaper and there are more places to sit up front. The interesting guide is spotty at best. People next to us seem to having a good time be caused they were just drinking alcohol and chatting with their date. Not paying attention to he scenery or guide.

We did the Saturday night sunset cruise. I added on tickets to Brisbane wheel and a meal and drink at Plough Inn. Great value if you purchase this way! The cruise is fully licensed and tickets included a nibbles plate which was very generous. Great way to see all the lights of Brisbane. Staff were excellent.

An absolutely lovely 90 minutes. We did the evening sunset tour up and down the river. Staff were great, value for money excellent. Bought a few drinks onboard and we were given a complimentary ‘nibbles’ plate. Perfect while watching the changing city scape from sunset to full illumination. Highly recommend

Had a terrific morning on River City Cruises! I took my grandparents and a friend out for the 90-minute sightseeing cruise, and it was absolutely fantastic. The boat is in great condition, very accessible, and punctual. We enjoyed fresh scones and tea while sitting back and watching the world go by. I couldn’t recommend it more—my grandparents had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed the commentary from the skipper!

We had a great time on the "Cruise to Lunch Package" with River City Cruises! Tapping the keg was a fun and interactive, and the boat ride itself was relaxing and enjoyable. The team went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience, even when the weather took a turn for the worse. Their professionalism and care made all the difference. Our family throughly enjoyed the “cruise to Lunch” tour & can happily recommend it! Great way to see Brisbane by boat, get an orientation of the city, enjoy the views & fresh scones with tea & coffee.
The crew were helpful & friendly and the commentary was informative & entertaining.
Lunch at the Breakfast creek hotel was a highlight. The staff were great & accommodated our dietary requests & the beautiful historic pub had interesting photos & character. Was fun to watch the “tapping of the keg” tradition & enjoy a beer.

After lunch as it’s the same ferry stop as the historic Newstead House, you can enjoy a quick walk around its grounds & admire the architecture.

Note: the boat pier to start your tour is a little tricky to find within the ‘arts precinct’! It’s actually under a covered driveway so look for the driveway undercover, between the State library and Theatre. Allow extra time to find & can easily get taxis there and back.

When I’ve had family visiting Brisbane, this river cruise company is my first choice. Very friendly staff with safety, comfort and experience top priority. Good price, informative cruise, highly recommended. Thanks again for another great day along our city’s great river.

Spot on Really nice leisurely trip. We'll organised and the staff were polite, friendly and gave a good history without over doing it.
Seats on top deck are limited to 36 so beat to get there a little early.
Tea, coffee and scones was a nice touch on the morning trip.

This was such a delightful cruise. I took the morning cruise with tea. In addition to being very affordable, they served complimentary tea, coffee, and delicious scones. The cruise lasted an hour and a half to and from Southbank, so you get back in time for a nice lunch or with lots of time to continue exploring the area. The tour guide was witty, funny, and did an incredible job highlighting the many landmarks and buildings along the cruise. I highly recommend this cruise if you're ever visiting Brisbane. It's fun and family friendly.

Lovely cruise on a lovely day. It was a very smooth booking process. Central location for the start of the cruise. Good commentary and friendly staff. Lunch at the Breakfast Creek was huge and we got to spike the keg. Smooth sailing on the way home.

Nice view, good vibes and relaxing It was our first evening in the city of Brisbane. We wanted to explore the city from the river and see a different perspective. After a nice late lunch at a riverside restaurant, we waited for our cruise boat. It was not boring because we had a lot to see and snap a few pictures of the sunset. We enjoyed it.

Sunset cruise This was a lot of fun. Beautiful evening drifting down and then up the Brisbane river. Great playlist kept the guests singing and reminiscing the 70s.

Great value view of Brisbane River MV Neptune and its crew are a great way to cruise from Southbank Brisbane to the iconic Breakfast Creek Hotel. The crew were extremely attentive and skilful (the berthing on a fast-flowing tide was smooth as silk) with informative audio about the sights we passed.

This was a last minute booking which turned out to be a Brisbane highlight! We did the sunset cruise which took us down the river towards the Storey Bridge. The timing was beautiful as we got day light but then also the night lights off the city. Absolutely stunning. The complimentary snacks were very appreciated and you can buy drinks on board. Tim was happy to share his knowledge and was kind and welcoming to everyone. Highly recommend this experience!

Nice experience An enjoyable cruise down Brisbane river with a good description of the highlights on the adjacent shores. The coffee/ tea and scones was a pleasant surprise. A lovely way to see places that you might subsequently visit for a closer look. A good experience.

Spent a few hours on the Brisbane Rivercat Ferries on Xmas Day 25/12/23 from Toowong Wharf. Beautiful scenery along the way & friendly staff.
No issues using my Travelink tap on & tap off card.

However If you like very loud, trash heavy metal songs from the 80ies, this is for you. If you don't, then pass.

No joke, we were there last night as a family and this is the music we were subjected to. So so loud, so so bad. It was a relieve to hop off that boat.

Worth Doing What a great and different way to view the City.

One of our group couldn't make it, I emailed (allowing at least 24hr noticed) and they were very prompt in issuing a refund. Very Happy!

When I booked the trip I thought we would be going to the Breakfast Creek Hotel but we ended up at the Powerhouse. So I was a little disappointed and there was no mention of the change via email/SMS/in person.

The cruise was nice and gentle, with good commentary. Morning Tea was provided (scones with jam & cream) and there was plenty to go around.
It was explained about how the boat would stop and where to disembark and where to go for the lunch.
Unfortunately when we got to the restaurant, the lady who greeted us, didn't know anything about us coming for lunch. It took a good five to ten minutes for someone to come out (which was not great as it was a very hot day) and seat us, then take our order.
We weren't happy about where they told us to seat, which was inside, so we asked to change and sat outside as it was a lovely day.
The food was lovely and portion sizes were huge.
There wasn't much to look at at the Powerhouse but there's lovely park area to walk around.
Before you knew it, the boat was due back and after boarding, we returned back to the pontoon at the Cultural Center.

It was a very pleasant trip and great for anyone visiting Brisbane. Well worth the money.

Sunset River cruise The cruise itself was very good. We had enough time to see and photograph many sights along the Brisbane River. Unfortunately, although the cruise began at 6pm, our booking was spoiled by a group of about a dozen passengers whose only reason for taking the cruise it seemed, was to have somewhere different to party. I assumed that was what the party cruises were for but perhaps they booked the wrong one? They seemed quite oblivious to their surroundings (and unfortunately their fellow travellers) I'm not sure if this cruise came with a commentary, if it did, it would have been impossible to hear.
So basically the cruise was good but staff could have perhaps tried to control the few passengers for the benefit of the rest of us?

Words fail me .... We certainly enjoyed the whole experience immensely, the travel, the commentary (would love to have had more information on some of the amazing houses along the way), the food (morning tea and lunch) and the friendly staff. I will certainly be recommending the experience to anyone I know who might be visiting Brisbane. We are not people for taking photos so unfortunately do not have any to share with you.

Pleasant river cruise We decided to take the 10.30 am cruise from Southbank. The boat was very comfortable and the captain and crew very welcoming. We enjoyed lovely hot drinks and scones with cream and jam as we cruised along the Brisbane River. The captain’s commentary was very clear, interesting and full of facts about Brisbane and it’s river.
We would definitely recommend this trip to all visitors to Brisbane.

Not as Advertised The description of this tour mentions the Breakfast Creek Hotel multiple times, but it doesn't visit there. We weren't informed prior to the trip that this wouldn't be included, and even during the trip itself nobody mentioned it, presumably hoping we wouldn't notice! Instead, we were taken to an average bar at The Powerhouse and given a restricted menu choice.

When we asked what had happened, we were told that construction work had meant the boat couldn't dock at the Hotel, and this had been the case for a couple of weeks!

I've also enquired about a partial refund, but been told that one can't be given. Avoid.

Lunch is not at the Breakfast Creek Hotel We booked the cruise with lunch and were really looking forward to lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel (we had only been once before) Our confirmation came through outlining the day's itinerary, which included the Breaky Creak for lunch. The web site currently boasts lunch at the Breaky Creek, so you can imagine how disappointed we were to be informed lunch will be at the Power House.
It was nice enough but swapping steak and a beer off the wood for fish & chips or burgers we didn't think was a fair deal. The rest of the trip was good.

A perfect way to spend 90 minutes in Brisbane! This was a really great little outing down river on a cute vessel with excellent commentary and unexpected morning tea with lovely scones/cream/jam! Very pleasant crew motoring along at a very relaxing speed..we felt like we'd learnt a lot about Brisbane and saw so much that can't be easily seen from land. Best 90 minutes value.
