Enjoyable, interesting, informative most pleasing time had by all. We had a most enjoyable experience,touring through McLaren Vale, sampling some beautiful boutique wines at 4 wineries, then enjoying a beautiful plough man’s lunch board. All the wines were quite different and most enjoyable.

We were lucky enough to win a tour at a bargain price at a Neuro-endocrine Cancer fundraiser. A generous donation by Cellar Doors.
Our guide and driver Tim was exceptional! He quickly picked up on what would suit both us and the other couple and we set off for a fabulous day of wine tasting and laughter. A standout was Paulmara Estates but every winery was a good experience.

Family weekend We had such an amazing day with Doug on our girls’ weekend. He was attentive and made sure to find out which wines we liked and wanted to try. He has a great repoire with the wineries which allowed a customized experience. We’re planning to come back in the winter with our husbands.

What a wonderful day with Steve, from the Cellar Door Tours. It was going to be a group tour to the Barossa and lucky for us it ended being a private one. Steve was so knowledgeable but passionate about everything he took us to the beautiful hidden gems I got to taste alot of beautiful wines, even went out of my comfort zone and learnt so much about wine tasting. My favourite was when Steve went out of his way to take us to Maggie Beer a fantastic experience. We tasted lovely cheeses got to speak to the locals, then we had a beautiful lunch almost put us into a good coma. We highly recommend Steve and his company to anyone that want to visit Adelaide and tour the Barossa, not only will Steve give you an experience but will also give you the fun facts and the history of Adelaide. Amazing day My sister and I booked a McLaren Vale wine tour with Cellar Door Tours. The reason we chose this company was right from the start they were so friendly, helpful and flexible with arrangements. Pick up was right on time, van was very comfortable, and Steve made the day complete with his knowledge and sense of humour. More than this he made sure everyone on the tour was well looked after checking on everything from temperature of the car, did anyone want a coffee to any special requests we might have. The range of vineyards we visited was perfect from the boutique to the larger wineries. He arranged a gourmet platter for lunch which was perfect. Went the extra mile even to the point when we arrived at one of the vineyards and found they had run out of white wine he quickly went into fix it mode and took my sister and I to another vineyard very close so we could enjoy the whites and the other couple we were travelling with could enjoy their reds. The whole day was amazing, and I can't recommend this company enough. They will ensure you have the best experience possible, and we will definitely be booking Steve again on our next trip to Adelaide.

Wine tasting tour Steve is a great host and entertaining with a few dad jokes. Steve is relaxed and took us to some out of the way wineries. We went to Coates, Hugo, Shirvington and Oliver wines. We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Shirvington. Steve was a great driver and the limousine was very comfortable.

We had an incredible experience with Cellar Door Tours on our trip to McLaren Vale. It was originally booked as a group tour but ended up being just the two of us, making it a private and personalised experience.

Steve was an excellent guide—his knowledge of the region and its wines was fantastic, and he took us to some amazing boutique vineyards that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. The day was well-organised, with a delicious food platter for lunch, and Steve’s flexibility made it even better. He happily accommodated a quick coffee stop after our tastings and even dropped us off at Glenelg Beach at the last minute.

It was a fantastic day, and we’d highly recommend Cellar Door Tours to anyone looking for a top-notch wine experience. Already looking forward to trying the Barossa Valley tour next time! 🍷

Had a great day out with Tim, who was a very informative and considerate host, ensuring that he took us to wineries that would suit the tastes of all on the tour.

All wineries were very friendly and welcoming and we were able to try many varieties of wines that we had not been exposed to before.

Tim was able to assist with shipping wine purchases from multiple wineries back to WA, which ensured we were able to purchase everything we wanted.

Absolutely loved our experience with Cellar Door Tours! From start to finish, it was a fantastic day. Steve felt like an old friend right from the beginning—he made us feel comfortable and at ease. He really took the time to understand our preferences for wines and customised the tour accordingly.

We travelled from Melbourne with friends to tour the Barossa and McClarenvale wineries for the long weekend.
A few weeks prior, I was researching and connecting with all the tour companies to determine which would suit our group best and from the beginning the communications and tone of the emails were easy going, friendly and exactly what our group was looking for.
Both days we were fortunate enough to have Steve as our guide, he was extremely knowledgeable about the areas, knew the best unique wineries to go to and ensured we had the right balance of conversation, jokes and fun on our trips.
Lunch both days were excellent and catered for vegan / vegetarian or other dietaries well.
We would highly recommend this tour company for any wine tours in SA.
Steve listened to our requests as well as surprised us with new wineries to try and made sure we had all the tips and tastings of the best wines.

I have done a few tours with Steve from Cellar Door Wines and he exceeded his brief provided. We didn't want to go to any vineyards that we could otherwise buy at the big retailers. We wanted boutique, good wine - mixed varietals of reds with a splash of fun. Nothing was ever a problem for Steve, even when we may have stayed longer than we should have at a couple of cellar doors. I would recommend using Steve for any tour when in Adelaide.

We were a private tour of 10 and had a great day out with Steve. We let him pick the wineries as we hadn't been before and he chose some great ones for us and was very helpful and flexible when some of our group were on a late flight. Would book again!

I’d booked Cellar Door wine tours for 2 days, Day 1 was Adelaide Hills, and Day 2 was the Barossa.
We were lucky enough to have Steve as our driver both days and we all had the best time. He took us to some absolute gem wineries! He was knowledgeable, and hilarious - our cheeks were sore from laughing. We are 1000% booking next year when we return!

I did the McLaren tour with my parents, and we had an amazing time with Tim! Him and Steve have selected the wineries according to our tastes, which was a success. Tim was really nice and gave us plenty of interesting explanations on the region. He also brought us through the scenic and coastal roads.

December I completed my 5th tour with Cellar Door Tours and I’m already thinking of my next. Steve and Cellar Door tours would have to be one of the best wine tours I’ve been on. Every trip he manages to surprise me with new boutique wineries, hidden gems and several occasions we’ve have the winemakers take us through the tasting.
The day is aways tailored and is about the experience and quality, so no rushing to get to the next winery, you can spend as little or as long as you want.
