COONAWARRA HIGHLIGHTS WINE TOUR

Our Coonawarra Highlights tour is perfect for the wine traveller who wants to experience a cross-section of our iconic cellar doors but in a limited time frame. We’ll take you in comfort and style along the famous “Terra Rossa” strip, taking in the vineyards as they race past your window.

You’ll feast on sumptuous produce platters, meet and chat with the winemakers and perhaps go behind the scenes and enjoy a barrel tasting or two. We’ll illustrate the history of the region and show you the unique nature of the red soil over ancient limestone.

Patrick of Coonawarra – Meet the friendly family team at Patrick of Coonawarra where you will enjoy a full tasting of the Patrick range. Learn the history of the family and tuck into the sumptuous gourmet produce platter with a glass of wine at the end of your tasting.

Wynns Coonawarra Estate – Home to the very first winery that started all way back in 1896. The stunning Gables is home to the iconic Wynns Coonawarra label and we will take you through the history of the Wynns story and discuss John Riddoch, the man who launched Coonawarra as a premium wine region. We’ll then show you a range of Wynns wines that will suit any palette and even take a look in the original cellar. No trip to Coonawarra is complete without visiting Wynns.

Coonawarra Siding – You simply must stop for a selfie at the siding when in Coonawarra! We’ll swing by and make sure you get that perfect photo opportunity while learning about the people who opened the railway in the 1800s and made Coonawarra accessible to the world.

Katnook Coonawarra – Katnook lies in the heart of the fabled Coonawarra wine region, South Australia. With a history stretching back to 1867, Katnook is home to some of Australia’s best terra rossa vineyards. Step inside John Riddoch’s beautifully restored, historic limestone building, now our Cellar Door, to taste our wines and find out why they are one of the best in the region.

Raidis Estate – At this welcoming family winery, you’ll enjoy a full range of tastings and relax in this hugely welcoming cellar door. Whether it’s relaxing on the comfy couches or lying in the sun on the lawns, it’s always a fun visit with the Raidis team. The Raidis family are of Greek origin and produce the only Pinot Gris grown in Coonawarra so make sure you try it! You may even end the day with a Greek coffee from the head of the family, Chris Raidis.
