We boarded their very comfortable bus and headed to our first winery Parker’s. We enjoyed a pleasant tasting before we headed to Patrick for our next tasting and lunch. The hospitality was fantastic and the platters were amazing highlighting a selection of regional produce. We left there very happy. Next stop was Bowens where we tasted the highly rated Shiraz and cab sav. Next stop the Coonawarra  railway siding for a picture and then off to De Giorgio wines. We enjoyed the extensive tasting and picturesque outdoor tasting area. Final stop was Raidis Estate. Despite running a bit late ( due to how much fun we had) we were welcomed and tasted some lovely wines. Our day came to an end and we headed back to Penola. 

Our party of 6 had an awesome day. We were expertly looked after by Kerry who shared a  great deal of her local knowledge and some fun facts. 

The wineries chosen for us gave us a great appreciation of the wine varieties being grown in the region. Yes there is more than red. 

I highly recommend a day with Kerry and the wineries you will visit with her. Just remember you don’t have to like every wine you taste To enjoy a great day

					Fantastic day, we were with the amazing Simon who is both incredibly knowledgeable and patient with drunk idiots. We had a great time and drank a crazy amount of truly delicious wines. I have to say, from the moment we arrived in the Coonawarra, Simon & Kerry made us feel so welcome that we relaxed straight away in their well appointed Penola apartment. Our day tour started with being picked up in the ultra comfortable Toyota Landcruiser 300 and Simon was the consummate host taking us to the best spots of Coonawarra including a private tasting tour of the iconic Wynn's vineyard, an unbelievably delicious gourmet lunch with wine at Otellia, meeting Peaches the cow and seeing the exclusive luxury accommodation on the private regenerative Warrawindi farm, meeting Heidi and learning about her delicious Olive Oil production it was a superb day meeting locals and experiencing the true Coonawarra. Thank you Simon & Kerry for your warmth, hospitality and care - we'll be back!

The excellent service from Kerry & Simon. Their knowledge of the area and wines is amazing. Every winery we visited, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and we had lots of laughs. 

We are not wine drinkers but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Lunch was very good. The mixture of cheeses, meats and condiments was perfect. Plus we got to enjoy wine.

					This experience just amazing. The Mayura Station, winery tour and lunch at Otelia was just perfect. Accomodation was perfect for what we needed. Very Clean and tidy. Simon and Kerry went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience the best of the Coonawarra.

Kerry picked us up right on time and off we went in the comfort of her lovely spacious people carrier.  She was fun to be around, full of knowledge and very easy to get along with.  She was the Goldilocks of tour guides - not to little and not too much so just right!!!  She was there to answer questions but also gave us plenty of space too. We would never have been able to see/do the region like we did without her. I definitely want to go back again and that was because of this great experience.

					We loved the accommodation at Coonawarra Experiences in Penola hosted by Simon and Kerry.

The apartment was perfect in every way, so close to town, bright, neat, impeccably clean, and so well appointed.

They had thought of everything, right down to the details! Separate cups for tea and coffee, cheese boards and knives, and several different types of wine glasses, and even the solar activated night light and underfloor heating in the bathroom.

The bed was by far one of the best we have slept in away from home!

We had a wonderful and cosy 2 night stay, and the wine and chocolates that welcomed us was a beautiful touch.

We loved our stay with Simon and Kerry and the wine tour we did was fun, informative and well worth doing. All the communication I had with Simon before we arrived was prompt and professional with all my questions answered. We were met on arrival with a bottle of wine and lovely cuvée chocolate and it is those little extras that made the whole experience so good. Very comfortable bed with quality bedding. A very well appointed bathroom, again high quality towels and toiletries. In the lounge/kitchenette was a microwave, decent size fridge and a good selection of crockery, cutlery etc. very happy to see a variety of good wine glasses and an Espresso machine! Really good value, accomodation exceeded expectations 



Normally we take ourselves around cellar doors but so glad we decided to take the tour with Coonawara Experiences. We had such a good time. It was very personal and lots of fun. The lunch platter was lovely and meeting the people running the tastings was what really made it. Kerry and Simon are very obviously passionate about the Coonawara and the local produce. Book a tour with them, you won’t regret it.

					Kerry was so amazing and took very good care of us. We had wonderful experiences at each cellar door and Kerry shared a lot of her rich knowledge with us so we were able to better understand the region and its history. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting the region and we will have to make sure to come back and use Kerry and Simon again!

I booked Coonawarra Experiences and my mum and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Kerry was an amazing host, and drove us from winery to winery. We were treated to an incredible platter at the first stop, and was taken to some beautiful landmarks in the area.

					Simon was excellent & the tour of wineries in Coonawarra was perfect.  The day was a memorable experience & we were taken to some unique & boutique places.  We had the VIP treatment & Simon helped us move several cases of wine back to our accomodation.  Simon offered us flexibility of where to go but we were happy to follow his advice of the tour.  Lunch was included & the food was simply the highest standard which was a pleasant surprise considering we were on a wine tour.  We would highly recommend this tour & the memories will last longer than the wine we purchased.

We had a private wine tour with our friends & the knowledge and  care he had was amazing. He looked after us every step of the day and made sure we had the best experience we possibly could! It's mine and my husbands first trip to the Coonawarra and our friends 4th (and they hadn't stop going on about how good it was) and they were right & I will definitely be recommending Coonawarra Experiences to everyone we know back home & we will 100% be back sooner rather than later.

					We booked the Coonawarra Experience with Simon and Kerry. From our initial contact with Simon helping with our booking and organising our winery visits itinerary. . We were lucky to have Kerry looking after us today and showing us around. Kerry was brilliant. Happy to show us around explain her environs plus answer our many questions. 					Highly recommend Simon and Kerry’s Coonawarra Experiences.  They have some great torus but will also customize your experience. Just ask.  We had an awesome two days of wineries, lunches and local sights.  They are responsive, flexible and extremely knowledgeable about the area.  And we had a ball!  Thanks Simon! They offer several standard torus but are also very happy to customize your experience  just ask!  We love wine and they helped us curate 2 amazing days of tastings with long lunches  and then home again to Penola peppered with some local sights.  Simon was extremely knowledgeable about the area and by the end of our two days we had a really great insight into the history and contemporary issues.   This region is so much more tha  wine and we can’t wait to return tp experience more the area has to offer with  Simon and Kerry.

Kerry the tour guide picked us up promptly from our motel. She was friendly and knowledgeable and clearly knew her stuff. We visited 4 very different cellar doors, the first providing a delicious food platter with the tasting. The day was unrushed and we had plenty of time at each venue to taste, ask questions and purchase. A great day and a great tour all round. Highly recommend.

He was a very knowledgeable, friendly host who personally knows the people behind the vineyards we visited.  Totally relaxed tasting of a range of wines with no pressure to purchase. Our tour was a private tour in a modern comfortable van.

Booking and planning was easy with Simon being very responsive to all of our requests. Our tour was over 2 days with the days tour being hosted by Kerry on the first day Simon on the second. Both were friendly and knowledgeable.

It’s obvious that Simon and Kerry are liked and respected by the wineries and restaurants ensuring that as tour guests we were given 5 star treatment throughout.

We were unable to stay in their accommodation on the first night but Simon arranged for nearby accommodation and then transferred us to their appartments. Their apartment is well appointed and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and modern, the bed comfortable and  the kitchenette had all we needed. The bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival are a nice touch. 

We have loved both our visits.

From the pick-up for our visit to Mayura Station for what can only be described as the most enjoyable experience, the food and wine was next level.

The following day, our tour of the Coonawarra Wine Region along with lunch at Ottelia was excellent.

Our host, Simon was a mine of information on the region and took the time to explain to us the history of the Coonawarra and its early inhabitants, all of which we both found of great interest. 

The accommodation provided by Simon & Kerry was superb as was the Wine and chocolates..

Kerry was very knowledgeable regarding the whole area and also all the different wineries. We had a very enjoyable experience and would happily return and ask Kerry for her help again!

We're new to the tour experience and it was seamless. Simon and Kerry were very accommodating with a more bespoke time frame for each day as we have a special needs child. The transportation was very comfortable and they couldn't do enough to make our experience memorable. The two lunch venues were great. We even got the business class experience of refreshing wet towels when it was really humid one day. They take photos for you and send to you via email as part of the package, which let's you have everyone in group photo. Simon is a wine buff which is very handy for cellar door recommendations and knowledge about the local wineries and wines. We had a good old chat about wines in between stops. Can't recommend them enough.

To be able to sit back and relax and be looked after with lovely wines, great food and an informative drive was great.  We were able to suggest where we would like to go before hand so it suited us.  We altered our trip on the day due to it being a sunny day and wanting to sit outside and relax in the gardens at one of our stops, which was great advice from Simon.  Thank you heaps Simon for being a great driver and your knowledge of the area was very informative.

The van was clean, comfortable and in good condition.

Simon was full bottle on the wineries, vines and wine makers. He has strong community relationships.

Simon asked us what wines we wanted to try and tailored the trip to our tastes and preferences.

The staff at all wineries we visited were attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant.

We had a hearty lunch in the middle of the tour.

We were with a like-minded crew.

					Excellent wine tour of the Coonawarra wine region with knowlegable, friendly driver Simon. We did the afternoon tour with lunch. It was awesome. We discovered great wines and wineries, learned about the history of the region and had a magic afternoon all round.

					I chose Coonawarra Experiences to take my 3 sisters and I around the region.  We enjoyed our host Kerry, she was very knowledgeable of the region and we had lots of fun at the wineries we visited and the historic places she took us. A big thank you again Kerry.

Definitely a must do experience.

					The best wine tour experience.  From the moment we were picked up from our accommodation to being dropped off we could not find fault with anything. We were even lucky enough to meet one of the winemakers and have a chat over a bottle of wine. The lunch at Otellia was delicious and they went out of their way to accommodate Gluten-free dietary requirements. Words can not be found that would do justice to Simon and his efforts of making our day enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Simoyou are simply the best!

					We went on a wine tour with Kerry and had such a good day. By the end of the tour you want to move to Coonawarra and be best friends with Kerry. A+ experience.

It was our first visit to the region, and I had always wanted to do a winery tour with my husband.  We had the best day!  I can't recommend this enough!
