Abseiling off the bluff 2 boys aged 11 and 14 did the abseiling off the bluff experience. They found it amazing the instructors Dan and Ian were so great, super friendly and made the experience all that better. Amazing memories created couldn't fault

Highly recommend All the instructors are good and helped me progress a lot. The group lessons are very affordable. Moana is good for beginners, whereas Middleton has bigger waves.

Awesome Experience My six year old Ada did the 3 day level 1 class. It was great, she really enjoyed it. All the instructors were really friendly. We will definitely be back to do more lessons.

Great experience! We registered our 3 children (aged 9, 11 and 13) for a surf lesson last week. The booking process was really simple. The instructions at the beginning of the lesson were really clear and the coaches did a fantastic job in the water, trying to ensure everyone was successful in getting up. The lesson went for 2 hours, excellent value for money. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting to learn to surf to give these guys a go. Also a beautiful location (we were at Moana beach) and a great little cafe nearby for lunch afterwards.

Learn to Surf. Cannot fault the instructor from Surf and Sun. We encountered some very trying and difficult conditions.

Fantastic beginner surf lessons My 10 year old had his first lesson with Surf & Sun at Middleton. From booking his lesson to the instructor on the day, everyone was super friendly & helpful. He had a fabulous time, we’ll definitely be taking him back for another lesson!

Learning to surf It was so much fun, they were lovely and super helpful. The basics were covered and then we spent a lot of time out in the ocean practicing. Callum helped us with what waves to catch, what improvements we could make. It was the best fun. Definitely recommend.

A great day in the surf Instructor, Alex, did a sensational job of teaching my 10 yo grandson how to surf, in fairly challenging conditions down at Middleton Beach. My grandson had an awesome time and is now very keen on purchasing a surf-board and continuing to practice what he learnt.

Awesome instructors, we have engaged this gang for 5 years in a row and will keep doing so. They rock.

Poor customer service I had an issue when surfing with the team my knees got twisted and and it’s been 4 days I am suffering , I have not even received a message from the team to cheak. Poor if I am okay. Poor customer service

Great, fun learning experience, despite bad weather conditions As my lesson was coming up, the weather forecast didn't look to promising, extremely windy with chances of rain. Turned up to the lesson with my group nevertheless, and a little bit late, but the coaches were very accommodating. The lesson itself was very straight forward and easy to understand, and once we all confirmed we all ready to hit the water, we all had a blast riding the waves! The coaches kept a keen eye on the group and helped where ever they could. Would highly recommend this activity if you've never been surfing before!

Great for beginners Living far inland we don’t get a lot of time at the beach so were each of us a bit nervous. However the whole family loved this. Indie catered to our individual needs and was excellent at giving encouragement. Highly recommend this company!

New to the area / solo beginner Alex was my instructor and he was amazing! Super friendly and fun. I'm not new to surfing, but I'm new to Australia so as a solo traveller I booked on to a lesson to brush up on my skills and to learn about the local beaches. I had such a great time. I learnt all about which places to avoid vs which parts of the beach were best for surfing etc. I was also given tips on how to improve my surfing, and I was told which bad habits I'd picked up (KNEES!!). I've booked 3 surf lessons in total (they do a discpunt for multi-buys), I plan to return to Middleton beach to get a few more instructed pointers, and to visit Moana beach, their other location, to see what that beach is like.

Finally, I also went to visit their shop in town. I had a great experience here too, Chloe was manning the desk and she was very friendly and helpful. She let me try on a few wetsuits and take a look at their surfboards. They sell both new and secondhand items which is great for people like me on a budget!

I'd highly recommend surf and sun to any holiday makers or locals!

Learn to Surf My 11 yo and I (45yo) had a 2 hr surf lesson with our instructor. The beach was perfect for it, everything you need was provided, instructor gave useful feedback and made it fun. Never too late to try!

So much fun in the sun! The 3 day kids Surf Grom sessions were a highlight of our beach holiday at Middleton. The kids geared up in wetsuits and boards and rashies supplied by Surf and Sun and in no time were up and catching waves standing up! Kids were exhilarated and exhausted after each session. It was great to see them try something new and have so much fun! Thanks to the team at Surf and sun for putting on a professional, fun and engaging program for the kids. Next time we are down there, I am going to give it a go too!

Surf lessons were great! Took both teenage girls for a 2 hour surf lesson, they loved it. Was easy to book and they got us in last minute.

Great birthday present Weather out of their control. Day one - perfect conditions, Day two - so bad the children couldn’t go out but instructors made the most of it with water safety and games. Day three - average weather cond but children spent whole time in water. The instructors were really good and made it fun for children at all levels. Both my children stood up by day one and had a fun three days. Second year we have done the lessons and will probably come back again.

Amazing experience I had a morning session with Alex and two other amazing girls in early September. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. It was my first lesson in Australia and, of course, I fell many times but always with a big smile. Alex kept me motivated. It was a great workout. After two hours, I could feel my body working hard.
I loved that I was given an ebook to read about surfing before and after class. It is a lovely idea. I highly recommend experiencing the surf vibe with Surf and Sun. It was great fun. I loved the resilience this sport taught me. No matter how many times you fall, always pick up your board and keep trying until you succeed. Thank you for your patience Alex, I really appreciate it.

New Surfer It was a great experience. I did my first lesson at Moana and found the surf at Middleton was a whole lot better.

Very organised, great communication and awesome people involved! Had the best experience for a first time. Everyone involved made me feel really welcome and I was given the best opportunity to learn the skills and apply them out in the ocean. I definitely received the confidence to buy my own board and head out by myself from now on. Jake was my instructor, he was an absolute legend and made the whole experience relaxed.

Wow everyone must try abseiling off the bluff…what a great experience it is definitely a must do while in encounter bay/victor harbour. Our instructor Ian was fantastic, so easy going and happy to go at everyone’s pace. Couldn’t recommend this enough

We went abseiling off the bluff and Ian made us all feel at ease. It was a very windy day and we never felt unsafe and had Ian guiding us the entire way. Great fun overall, highly recommend!

Amazing overall experience My 11 year old daughter and her best friend had a surf lesson last weekend. Both girls had no prior experience in surfing therefore were a bit apprehensive prior. The instructor was incredible and made them feel comfortable from the start.
I would have no hesitation to recommend, in fact i want to re book and do it myself.

It was a tad windy but the coaches worked really hard against the elements today! Great instructors and instruction in the surf, they made their way round to help everyone. Highly recommended.
