Nic was an outstanding guide – incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. He explained not only the history of the island but also the characteristics of the local plants and wildlife, making the whole experience educational as well as exciting. His explanations were clear, engaging, and full of fascinating details that really brought the island to life for us.
What made the tour even more special was Nic’s warm personality. He made everyone feel comfortable, added a touch of humor, and created a fun and relaxed atmosphere throughout the ride. On top of that, he kindly took many photos of us during the experience, so we could fully enjoy the moment without worrying about capturing it ourselves.
Exploring Kangaroo Island on quads while learning so much from such a dedicated guide was absolutely unforgettable. This was without a doubt the highlight of our trip, and we couldn’t recommend Nic and this tour highly enough.
If you’re visiting Kangaroo Island, don’t miss this adventure – it’s the perfect combination of nature, fun, and knowledge, with a truly top-class guide!
10 of us, from total novice to experienced riders, were fully equipped & practised.
The terrain & scenery hugely varied.
Bushfire ravaged areas & the regeneration provided a very stark contrast.
Thank you to Nic who took the experienced riders further a field, as us novices were hampering their abilities.
And a big shout out to Fox who made sure I wasn’t left behind because of my cautiousness & inexperience.
Unfortunately, by the time I was feeling comfortable & more confident the tour had come to an end.
Next time I’ll go longer & harder.
Cheers Nic & Fox you made my day amazing!
Stopped for koala, kangaroos, took plenty of photos. Also introduced us to local lunch spot and attractions at Vivonne Bay
We were the only two on the shorter self drive Quad Tour and Nick was an amazing guide.
Interesting course - some technical bits, but I think a bit basic for advanced quad riders, but we had a blast.
We got to see all kinds of nature - Koalas, Echidnas and a variety of flora and some amazing views of the south coast.
Quads were well maintained and easy to handle. Safety gear was in really good condition.
Lots of info at the stops and had a guide laugh either the guide.
Can definitely recommend.
Despite some moody weather, this quad bike tour was a great experiences! A stunning mix of rugged landscapes, rolling hills, and native bushland
What made it even more magical was the wildlife. We spotted kangaroos hopping through the trees and even caught glimpses of wild koalas.
The tour itself was so well-run: Max was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the land and its wildlife.
Highly recommend this tour if you’re after a bit of adrenaline, a lot of natural beauty, and a truly unique Aussie adventure — rain or shine! 🌧️☀️🌳
Nic our guide was so good and patient with us inexperience quad bikers.
Always put safety first. Totally recommend
From Julie, Ellen and Sue 🥰
This place is a must do if you are visiting the island. You won't regret it!
An unforgettable experience – highly recommended!
My partner and I booked the quad bike tour and had an absolutely fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Juan, who instantly set the tone with a warm smile and great humour — and that energy didn’t let up for the whole experience.
From getting geared up, to the practice run, and then out on the trails, Juan was energetic, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. He made sure everyone felt confident and safe.
The tour itself was amazing — we spotted koalas, kangaroos, and were treated to stunning scenery and cliffside views that we’ll remember for years to come.
This is a tour for everyone — even if you’ve never ridden a quad bike before, don’t let that hold you back. It’s beginner-friendly, well run, and loads of fun.
Can’t recommend this experience enough. Thank you again to Juan — you made our trip to Kangaroo Island truly special!
Juan made sure this first timer was safe and capable of riding.
We did the 3 hour “Edge of the Earth Quad Adventure” and the only bad thing I can say about it, is that we wished it went for longer!
Verity was an absolute gem on the phone when I booked and she upgraded us to a private tour. When we arrived, the bikes were out and ready to go. Dave and his team (Max & Rom) were excellent and the entire trip was amazingly fun. We ended up at a secluded beach in the National Park, that was absolutely stunning and we now have those memories for life!
We are already planning a trip back to Kangaroo Island next year, just so we can do the tour again a couple of more times…
Thank you to everyone involved and thank you for the care and support you showed my client, who has autism.
A 10/10 experience we will never forget.
Overall a very high recommendation to all those who love a bit of an adventure!
Fox provided us with a great practice run followed by the terrain of out choosing! We were lucky enough to come across some kangaroos and were able to make stops to learn more about the island and its history!
Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-timer, they cater to everyone. If you're on Kangaroo Island, don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!
This was the best activity I did on the island by far. Highly recommend booking a tour with Kangaroo Island Outdoor Action.
Thanks Dave
The quad bikes provide a unique way to see the landscape. We had some close encounters with some of the local critters
We did the 2 hour all terrain tour and my only regret was not getting the 3hr package.
Not just quad biking but saw some beautiful scenery as well.
Our guide Jordan was a wealth of knowledge, and even rescued a baby echidna, to which my son named it Jericho [I wonder how it fared ... ]
Great fun, especially when it rains.
Definitely recommend!!!
We would definitely book again with KI Outdoor Action!
Our group was made up of three seperate couples, two of whom were complete beginners with one of them appearing incapable in the least of coping with these terrifying vehicles. Lucky for her, we had Sam. Sam, with the boundless positivity and endless patience cos we all needed it with her! He managed to hold the group together even with this woman taking up the majority of his time. She was switched to an electric version and finally we were off. Due to the fact this woman needed to warm up to a speed of 5km/per hour, Sam subtly indicated to us that it was okay with him if we wanted to hold back a while so we could follow at speed. This was a compromise that worked for us.
There were several stops where Sam put on his eco hat or a flora and fauna one and sometimes his farmer one and pored forth information from a huge store of local knowledge including fascinating first hand insights into the 2020 fires. A really great tour thanks to Sam even with the challenge of someone who I had initially written off as hopeless. She made it back in one piece with satisfaction of having done it herself because Sam refused to give up on her and let her ride behind him. She did a little victory air punch.
He also went that extra mile to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible.
I was really surprised when he told me he’d only been working on Kangaroo island since last year as his knowledge would suggest it was far longer.
Highly recommend the Quad bike tour. 10/10 A+++ and a special thanks to Jordan and MJ for making it great fun and very informative too.
He also went that extra mile to ensure we saw as much stuff as possible.
I was blown away when he told me he’d only been working on the island since last year coz you would have thought it was far longer.
Can’t recommend the tour more highly. 10/10 A+++ and a special thanks to Jordan and MJ for making it great fun and very interesting too.
Not just quad biking but saw some beautiful scenery as well.
Our guide Jordan was a wealth of knowledge, and even rescued a baby echidna.
Definitely recommend!!!
Marcus our tour guide really made our day. Will visit again next time we’re on KI. Well done 10/10
