Your journey through Yalumba’s iconic and premium wines begins in our Wine Room, where you will be greeted by one of our friendly Wine Ambassadors. They will host you throughout the day and share our stories and exceptional award winning wines.
Begin the progressive tasting experience with a glass of Yalumba The Virgilius, our flagship white wine and Australia’s benchmark Viognier.
With your glass of The Virgilius in hand, you will walk to our Family Tasting Room, learn about the family passions and taste our Rare & Fine Grenache, The Tri-Centenary.
Moving on through the stunning grounds, past the iconic Clocktower to the private Signature Cellar, partake in a comparative tasting of The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon & Shiraz, both current release and our future vintage straight from the barrel. The Signature encompasses everything our family stands for and the perfect representation of our history and ethos.
Having visited our labyrinth of former fermentation tanks, we will give you rare and privileged access into the family’s personal wine museum, an impressive collection including some of Australia’s first wines and other significant wine labels from the Old World.
Make your way through the winery to the Cooperage, Australia’s only onsite winery Cooperage. Here you will learn how our barrels are made, whilst tasting our flagship Shiraz, The Octavius, named after the 100 litre octave barrels iconic to Yalumba.
Walking alongside the Horseshoe Vineyard, you will discover The Caley Hut. Steeped in history, the hut has a picturesque outlook of the very vineyard where some of the grapes for The Caley are sourced. Be guided through three vintages of The Caley Cabernet & Shiraz whilst enjoying an abundant local produce platter. (The Caley Hut only possible in cooler months)

Wine tasting and plater sensational.
Really recommend this experience.
We had a great time
Staff very friendly.
Will be back in the warmer weather.

Outside public toilets.
No table service.
Do not waste your time eating here.
A stalwart of the Barossa and must visit winery, a long history
If big wineries is what you're after, highly recommend Seppeltsfield and Chateau Tanunga.
Cheese platter delicious
The service matches the wine at Yalumba, both outstanding.
The grounds are beautifully set and are a perfect place to take some time out to relax. You can choose from a variety of flight tastings depending on your tastes.
I would recommend this as a destination if you visiting the Barossa Valley.
Thoroughly enjoyed all the wines and a fantastic platter. Will be going back very soon
It was the day before they were having a huge Anniversary Celebration so we went on an Unguided Tour throughout the Estate which we found fascinating & magnificent.
This was a perfect stop choice on our Wine Hopper visit to Barossa Valley. The option for a flight of White or Red Wines blended extraordinarily well with the palates of our group. The charcutier plate of cheeses, olives, crackers and thinly sliced prosciutto was a delightful complement to our wines.
The Wine Hopper option is the best value for your day in Barossa Valley and Yolumba is a visually appealing and taste bud treat you will not want to miss.
Highly recommend the Unlocked Tour.
We had a great and informative 90 minutes followed by an amazing tasting and cheese platter. I did this solo, there were some only 3 of us. It was worth the investment
Highly recommend for those wanting something to remember and to learn about the Barossa
It takes a matter of minutes from going on this tour to appreciate the amazing history, pride and passion the staff and family of Yalumba have for this business. Such an icon of Angaston and the Barossa Valley.
We highly recommend to make time for this amazing tour and visit this special winery.
M&J
We were met with a glass of our choice prior to the start of the tour. Then our tour guide, the marvellous Tracey, started what was to be an incredible historical journey through the buildings, grounds and the family that is Yalumba.
The cooperage was fascinating and something we previously knew nothing about! I’m still stunned at the length of time it takes to make a barrel! This was followed by a visit to the Signature Cellar containing all the famous Yalumba barrels. The most interesting part of the tour for me was standing in Tanks 11 & 12! Hard to fathom we were standing in what was once a huge concrete tank of wine!!
Want better way to finish off the experience than with the best wine tasting ever complimented with a platter filled with all things yum!
The wine selection for the tasting was great! We even got a Tawny at the end to finish it all off!!
The Yalumba Unlocked experience is certainly value for money, as well as being a great touristy adventure.
We felt comfortable and welcomed at all times. Would do it again in a heartbeat. The wine was also great btw.
The lovely buildings are set in magnificent gardens.
In our opinion, this is one of the best to visit in the Barossa.
Highly recommend to visit for a wine tasting / tour.
A really lovely setting to just relax over a wine with cheese and crackers. As my husband was driving, the staff kindly provided him with a latte, whilst I tasted the wine. It was a bonus to have the cost of the flight included with the purchase of our wines.
Perhaps on our next visit we may indulge and do a tour.
Thank you Yalumba.
Tasting some very fine wines and the savoury plate was an excellent way to finish a perfect day.
I would highly recommend.
