The food we tried was delicious and we never would have found it ourselves! The gelato and the dumplings were a highlight for us. A must-do experience in Melbourne!!

Discover & appreciate Melbourne’s Coffee Culture A marvelous tour for a coffee lover who visits Melbourne regularly. With a myriad of coffee bars & cafes in Melbourne, how does one start to differentiate & choose which venue for one’s morning coffee or three? Monique, our guide, treated our tour group of 8 to 4-5 different coffee establishments in Melbourne’s laneways. We were given an informal history of Melbourne’s coffee culture, history of coffee & essentials pertaining to the appreciation of one’s ’cuppa Joe’ whether it be espresso, black or with milk/mylk & filter coffee. Tasting, comparing & discussing was illuminating for us all. Monique also mentioned numerous venues which we did not visit on the tour. The baristas at the chosen cafes were skilled & happy to offer samples or cups of coffee as predetermined by Monique. Thank you Monique; I also liked the way you drew out the experiences & preferences of the guests on the tour; it all added to our appreciation of this wonderful & complex world wide popular drink.

A delightfully informative and satisfying afternoon walk through Melbourne's rich food scene in the CBD. Our guide Andrew was exceptional at introducing us to Melbourne 's food scene and history. The historical context shared provided important dimensions to the experience. The variety and quantity of foods sampled was just right on this 3 hour tour.

Great value for money. Learn Melbournes history while enjoying amazing food locations you would never know about! Monique our guide was personable and ensured all our offered food was multicultural and offered plenty of choice for us. The small group size meant we had time to enjoy each other’s company while savouring the options offered.

My husband and I visited Australia for the first time recently. While in Melbourne, we did the food walking tour - it was wonderful! We walked around the city and learned a lot about its history and culture. We had the best time! Everything we sampled, including coffee and fresh dumplings, was delicious. The Melbourne Dumpling Walking Tour, for which we had Chev as our guide, was nothing short of extraordinary.
From meeting fellow dumpling appreciators, to learning about the history of Chinatown, as well as the stories behind each location, to of course the delicious dumplings themselves, was the perfect way to spend a cold Melbourne Wednesday night.
Chev was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour, offered amazing insights into each restaurant and the types of dumplings they served. She also offered suggestions based on the tastes of the group, and kept conversations flowing allowing everyone to get to know each other better.
I'd highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed. Especially with Chev as your tour guide, you'll be in good hands, as well as enjoy an array of amazingly delicious dumplings (seriously, some of these dumplings are heavenly).
One of the best parts is discovering restaurants (both small and large) that you wouldn't otherwise visit! Definitely adding to the list of to-visit-again locations.

Highly recommend this walking tour for any coffee lover! Monique was super knowledgable and charismatic. She taught us a lot about the history of coffee in Melbourne and was very deliberate with her recommendations. The highlight for us was enjoying a latte from the oldest coffee machine in Melbourne. Definitely a 5/5 experience!

Awesome tour, Monique took us to some little out of the way food eateries that we would never had found. The samples from each place were amazing. Plus Monique’s knowledge of each establishment and how they came about was fascinating. She also is a wealth of knowledge about the Melbourne City itself.

You need to book this Foodie Walking Tour! This tour was fabulous!! Andrew was our guide, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Friendly, funny, full of interesting historical facts about Melbourne, as well as all of the delicious treats he shared with us; he embraced the group of us as friends. My children and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We appreciated Andrew, the new friends we made who were part of the tour, and exploring delicious foods we’d not tried before alongside of fantastic versions of things we were familiar with. The hidden gems of restaurants we’d never have found on our own were delightful. This made me want to join a food tour on every future trip we take. Monique had such a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne and her selections for macarons, coffee, gelato, chocolate, banh mi, dumplings, and cocktails were diverse and top notch. A truly wonderful way to experience one of the more unique cities of the world. If I were to use one word to describe Monique’s tour, I’d have to borrow an Australian colloquialism: LEGEND!

An enjoyable afternoon of food, history and camaraderie. Monique does a wonderful job of interweaving Melbourne's history with the stories of the different cafes and food shops. We loved the arcades and laneways, especially beautiful with the holiday decor. The food and beverages were delicious, and the cultural diversity of the city was well represented.

We had a fantastic time walking through the CBD while we learned about (and tasted) the history of Melbourne’s coffee scene. The Coffee tour had a mix of history, culture and insights into coffee making, brewing, filtering methods. We sampled coffee at 4 different cafes. Monique was an exceptionally good guide, the walk was well paced with well chosen cafes. Nice to meet people on the tour with the same passion for coffee. Highly recommended this tour!

Monique took us on a tour that was so much more than I was expecting! It was a history lesson, as well as an introduction to Melbourne architecture, iconic events, and the influential people who helped grow this beautiful city. As for the food and drinks…there is plenty, it’s all delicious, and you are taken on a journey with each stop providing its own fascinating story. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough, a wonderful introduction to what Melbourne has to offer.

Been on a few tours and this one was the best. Do this tour first and learn melbourne history along with a selection of the unique cafes and restaurants in Melbourne. Accommodating to all dietary requirements including halal. Monique was amazing and friendly. You don't feel rushed and its a sml tour size so you get to meet new friends to explore melbourne with. If you only do one thing in Melbourne, make sure it’s the Foodie Walking tour. We joined Monique for 3 hours and were taken on a ‘foodie and historical’ journey extraordinaire. Our three children (aged between 10 and 15) were enthralled and delighted for the entire duration of the tour. Monique had an entertaining historical story or anecdote around every corner, and we were filled with the most delicious food and treats along the way. We sampled the world-renowned Melbourne coffee, chocolate, and gelato. The mouth-watering Asian cuisines were demolished whilst sitting in the trendy Melbourne laneways. Monique is a foodie through and through and incredibly knowledgeable about Melbourne’s past and present. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you, Monique, for showing us the fabulous food, culture, and history in your fascinating city.

A brilliant tour! A taste of Melbourne's best with some very interesting history of a few different spots throughout the city. I have lived here for 30 years, but never discovered my favourite city like a tourist. Loved it! Highly recommended for tourists & locals too!!

Such an enjoyable morning spent strolling Melbourne's lanes and tasting some of the world's best coffee. Monique's commentary was so entertaining and informative, and she made everyone feel warmly welcomed whether they drank coffee or not. Very very highly recommended.

We loved our coffee walking tour of Melbourne on Saturday morning. We were on a staycation in the city & Monique took us to places, and showed us parts of Melbourne we had walked past hundreds of times, but never actually ‘seen’ or visited. She is a wealth of knowledge about all types of coffee & gave us a fantastic education on some of the roasting techniques & coffee jargon. Would highly recommend to Melburnians and visitors to our town (& she can also give you some fabulous dumpling recommendations for a post tour lunch!)

I was a little skeptical going into this, knowing that local tours can be a bit uninspired and dull, but I was so impressed and surprised. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and took us to some of the tastiest foods I've eaten in years, most of which I'd have never found by myself.
My family and I did the street-food tour and it was definitely worth it, giving us a variety of food, drinks, and historic information on landmarks that most people wouldn't think much on until they learn the history.
