Our patented Night Vision Bushwalk is the only one of its kind in the world!
Imagine exploring the Australian rainforest at night, searching for nocturnal wildlife, instead of wielding a torch you’ll wear special night vision goggles, this is military grade technology that lets you see animals as they go about their business.
Because we don’t use bright lights, we are less intrusive and that means we can be more connected to what is going on all around us. For many of our clients, seeing the forest in the dark is an enlightening experience.
After your walk enjoy a hot chocolate, gazing up at the starry night. Heaven!
Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements when you book.
Nights with less moonlight are best for a Night Vision Bushwalk. On a typical night we see five species. Our regular sightings include Possum, Pademelon, Bandicoot, Tawny Frogmouth, Leaf tailed Gecko, Fuscipes, Melomys, Micro Bats and Frogs. Whilst we do our very best to give you a great experience, we are dealing with nature so we cannot guarantee animal sightings.
These walks are not recommended for people with epilepsy.

Worth every penny (cent) and a great way to spend a morning.

The icing on the cake: she has invested in tree planting so that the carbon footprint of her business is a net positive to the world! And the trees help provide koalas with an enhanced habitat!
This adventure was 100% worth every penny! We couldn’t recommend Wendy and her business high enough.

We spotted koalas on eucaliptus, some kangaroos and wallabi, bats and birds. We had a very nice pic nic (also for vegan vegetarian and gluten free).
Very recommended

Thanks for the great experience and amazing pictures! You made the trip of a lifetime even better! Book today!

Our guide, Wendy, took us to all the local stops where we were able to see all sorts of Australia's wildlife.
We started off by seeing a colony of flying foxes and also stumbled upon a carpet python!
Our next stop was a boardwalk in a rainforest to see pademelons. Although we couldn't see them by eye, Wendy let us use her thermal monocular and we managed to spot them, along with a few birds by eye.
We proceeded to go see koalas in the wild, and were lucky enough to see them while they were awake and hungry.
The picnic lunch was provided by our guide, and there was a lovely selection of all sorts of foods.
We finished off the tour with some kangaroo and wallaby spotting and managed to see quite a few.
Overall, I was incredibly chuffed with this tour and will definitely book again with the same guide.

Thank you Wendy,
Lisa

So Tom put Plan B into place and drove us to another location where we ended up seeing 7 close by. We could almost reach out and touch them.
This trip was great because all efforts were made to ensure we had a great experience but at the same time mindful about the welfare of the animals. Would definitely recommend Vision Walks to anyone wanting an authentic and sympathetic tour of wildlife. Thanks to Wendy and Tom

Thank you Wendy

Wendy was informative, friendly and so knowledgeable about about the Byron area and environment. When we arrived she gave us a run through of the location and the experiences that were on throughout the day.
The ride out there was a highlight of the day! I highly recommend.

Once we got to the place, she got us our tickets and gave us on overview of the area which is helpful in planning how to go around this huge place.

If you are in Byron this trip is an absolute must do. Beautiful picnic spot by the river and the day was perfect.
Thanks Wendy!

It is an absolute must do if you are in the Byron area.
We saw every animal that we were hoping to, plus so much more - and some incredible birds on top were a huge treat. The stop at koala Garden was incredible, so inspirational and we felt so privileged to be able to see koalas in such a special wild place.
We loved how knowledgeable Wendy was, and that she is an environmental scientist gives her such a great understanding of so many issues surrounding the wildlife that you will see.
The pictures that Wendy took are outstanding - she is a fantastic photographer, and meant that we didn’t miss any photos from not bringing our big camera with us. Also; for the first time on wildlife tour, we could just enjoy the moment taking it in first hand rather than trying to capture the perfect shot!
Everything about the wildlife tour was perfect, including the delicious, local picnic lunch set by the beautiful Richmond River.
Thanks so much Wendy!
