We are from Sydney visiting friends in Adelaide and we chose this vineyard from the local magazine from the accomodation where we stayed. The venue was amazing set , view , atmosphere and the location.. we loved the style of the venue . Janet was wonderful and friendly. We loved the tasting experience. We bought Tempranillo and Shiraz. The wines were fantastic with different varieties. I liked the Mediterranean range & my partner loved the Premium range. They also do Sunday live music with pizza which would be amazing. This is one of our favourite places in McLaren Vale .

Julianne was a real gem with the wine tastings and made my whole family felt welcomed. Wines were of course, fantastic too!

What a gem We had a wonderful afternoon at this lovely boutique winery. Our hosts ,Chris and Shiela were lovely, as were the wines and mulled wine. We didn't have a platter but they looked amazing and well priced. Would thoroughly recommend a visit here if you are in the area

Our weekdays visits to wineries offer an intimate, priceless experience with owners and staff. Today, we visited Paxton Wines and were warmly greeted and entertained by the charming Chloe. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful winery.

An absolutely beautiful establishment here at Paxton Wines. They have a beautiful cellar door amd lovely sitting areas inside. Outside they have more great areas to sit. We had the Tempranillo to drink and it tasted so refreshing and had floral amd savoury hints to it thanks to the Mediterranean climate at the Mclaren Vale region.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and made our time there most enjoyable. A very pretty place in general here and great place to unwind and enjoy a few glasses or a bottle 🍷

I booked the venue to spend my birthday day with 25 friends, I also told them that I would arrive around 1pm. When I got there I spoke with one of their staff asking about my reservation and the answer I got was: “first come first served”, which I didn’t understand why I had to make a reservation as I had to find a spot for my group by myself.
I knew the bar would close at 3pm, but it says in their website that they close at 5pm, which means I would be able to be there with my friends after the bar closed.
When was around 2:30pm we were informed that we had to leave at 3pm as they would have a wedding. I as very upset as they didn’t inform me about anything, I had to find another place to go, and not just me, my 25 friends too.
The wedding wasn’t booked overnight, they knew it and they didn’t inform me.
Their lack of communication was unacceptable.
It was my first time there, a very special day for myself, and it ended up being a very bad experience.
Definitely a place I wouldn’t go again, and I encourage YOU (reader) to go to Fox Creek, a beautiful place, beautiful staff, beautiful environment and their bar closes at 5pm ;)

My friend had booked a venue to celebrate her birthday but was not informed that a wedding was scheduled on the same day. The venue staff asked us to leave by 3 pm, and they even closed the bar at 2:40 pm. As a result, we had to go to Fox Creek instead. We were really disappointed with the situation, and if the venue had informed us earlier, we would have looked for another place to celebrate.

Lovely place, great wines. A very good selection of cheese, meats, crackers, olives etc. Build your own platter and enjoy gorgeous wines in a stunning scenery. Very friendly staff.

Beautiful winery, fabulous host, stunning wines. Perfect. Staying in Pomonal we decided to head out for a winery visit to the Horsham side of the Grampians, just a rather pleasant hours drive from Halls Gap. We chose Barangaroo based on their excellent reviews and once again the good folk on TA did disappoint us. An extra bonus point for being dog friendly !

Chris was kind enough to work around our availability and met us at 2.30pm on a Monday afternoon.

The winery is lovely with lots of indoor and outdoor areas and on a rather blustery day we sat on the decking overlooking the pond, enjoying the beautiful views, protected from the wind, being entertained by the visiting swallows.

Chris is certainly a character who was a terrific host and kept us entertained and educated in equal measure. Loved hearing about the winery, the history, his wines and some footy chat. We thoroughly enjoyed his company.

The wines were superb - indeed we were incredibly impressed at how good the wines are. There are so few winemakers in this area so perhaps our expectations were a little lower - but every wine (including the whites, sparkling and rose that we don’t normally favour) was excellent.

Not a bad drop at all, incredibly smooth, no aftertaste and a great variety.

We departed with 10 bottles - selecting the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Our only regret was not being able to sample the magnificent charcuterie board or try some of the food that’s on offer. All the more reason to return - and we absolutely will.

Very happy to highly recommend a visit to Barangaroo.

My family had a wonderful day at Paxton Winery over the long weekend. The grounds are perfection with lots of room for the kids to run around. There was also a great selection of food and wine to try. I can’t wait to go back!

We loved the informal atmosphere, live music and great wines. The wines are very approachable and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There's plenty of space on the lawns or in the tasting room. We walked in on a Sunday and were able to get a beautiful spot on the patio. Tastings are a very reasonable $10 per person for 4 wines.

We caught up with friends for a birthday, was perfect weather on a Sunday arvo to lounge on the grass, eat pizza, and drink delicious wine ????. It's worth bringing some chairs and picnic rugs for larger groups for lawn lounging. My fiance and I ended up doing a tasting and buying a box of mixed wine. Staff were excellent, they brought your pizza to you, and the tasting staff were very knowledgeable and made our experience personable. Tastings are $20, but the price is inclusive if you buy at least 2 bottles. Well worth it, we'll be back.

We had the absolute pleasure of being able to get married here last March and it was the best decision!

We honestly didn't look at any other venues - as soon as we walked in and were greeted by the friendly staff we knew this was it!

The wine is THE BEST, the venue / premise is unmatched and mostly the staff are so kind and you can sense a real family vibe every time you go there!

On our actual day they went over and above to make our day so special! They worked so well with our vendors and it was lovely to see the joy they were bringing all our guests when getting drinks and food!

We are so thankful we got married here and enjoy coming back every now and then to reminisce on the beautiful ay with a splendid glass of wine!

We had our Wedding at Paxton Wines on what turned out to be one of the biggest storms we have ever had. The staff at Paxton were so kind, helpful and supportive, they handled the weather and last minute changes to the space wonderfully. They just wanted us to have the day we had envisioned and thanks to them, we did. I would not hesitate to recommend Paxton as a wedding venue. Thank you so much to the whole team at Paxton!

Our wedding at Paxton Wines was absolutely beautiful. The venue itself says so much, it was such a beautiful spot for a wedding and the people who work there are just a lovely! Everyone was so kind and supportive prior, during and after our day.

We booked for 3:30 over the phone twice to confirm for a wine tasting, only to arrive to a wedding being held and Sasha being very rude saying we booked for 12:30 and had to be quiet and leave, Julianne was an angel and so nice about the situation! So props to her, and shame on sasha

Love these wines. Went in looking for whites predominantly as we head into summer and walked away with quite a bit more than I bargained for. Karyn was an amazing hostess and really drilled down on what we liked and although there were set tastings she “bent the rules” a bit to make the experience suit our palates. The site of the winery is spectacular with great views over the bush vines rather than trellises and with the organic and biodynamic practices, they are turning out beautiful wines. The repurposing of ancient farm buildings and the multi generational wine-makers added to the story. Forget about the big flashy producers with their massive marketing budgets - go and visit these little boutique guys with small batch production of top quality wines that are great to start with but age beautifully.

Great boutique winery Had a lovely afternoon with our wonderful host Chris. Sat out on the long deck overlooking the waterhole. Chris put on two gas heaters so we were toasty warm. Very clear explanations about each wine without being too over the top. Then out came Shiela’s grazing platter for four. Yum!! So beautifully presented. Heaps of choices and heaps of wafers and bikkies which I really appreciate. We each ordered another wine (or bottle). The surroundings are beautiful and the decor is perfect for a country winery. Such a great find - if you are in the area please put it on your to do list.

Great food and wine tasting This was a lovely couple of hours tasting very enjoyable wines and great matching tapas. You need to book in advance. The hosts were very informative and it is a lovely setting. Would recommend.

Nice Wines & Pleasant Surroundings Barangaroo Boutique Wines was a pleasant place for a relaxed lunch with outdoor seating, good wines, friendly service and a large platter of just about everything.The wines were good but not great and the platter was 'loaded' but somewhat messy with supermarket crackers, nuts, sausage, cheese and ham. Not refined but a pleasant relaxed place.

We visited on a cloudy cold day but our reception was warm and sunny. The friendly Scottish lass behind the bar was so very helpful, informative and charming. Met one of the winemakers and had a lovely chat with her too. Left with some Rose', some Paxton's AAA and the Queen Bee???? highly recommend

Generous hospitality! We had a great visit to Barangaroo Winery. The hosts were so friendly and gave us generous tastings of the lovely wines from their vineyard. We had the ‘cheese platter for two’ for lunch. It included a delicious selection of cheese, olives and pickles, lots of biscuits and even some strawberries and chocolate for a little dessert. We ate our lunch on the deck looking over the water hole to the colourful native birds in the trees. We would definitely recommend a visit to Barangaroo Wines!

Perfect afternoon We arrived in Horsham having driven from Adelaide and hopped straight in a cab to the winery.
Couldn't have had a better afternoon, a relaxed wine tasting, a couple of glasses with the best cheese platter we've had and left with several bottles on special offer.
