Surf & Sun’s lessons are 2 hours duration, they include all the equipment such as safe soft surf boards, full length wetsuits, rash top and suncream.
Lessons are held next to the Surf Life Saving Club on the Esplanade, Moana 5163, SA.
All instructors hold level 1 surf coach certificate plus surf rescue, working with children certificate and first aid.
For the safety and best experience of all, we request that children 9 and under be accompanied in the water by an adult that is not participating in the lesson. We will provide a wetsuit for the adult free of charge.
Minimum numbers apply. If your group lesson has less than 3 people you may need reschedule or upgrade to a private lesson. Moana beach has awesome waves, however sometimes it can be completely flat. If this is the case we will contact you to transfer your lesson to Middleton beach instead. Middleton is approximately 35 minutes from Moana.
If there is no availability, it is most likely because there are no waves so please book Middleton beach instead.

Some important points regarding your upcoming lesson;
- Minimum numbers of 3 participants do apply for a group surf lesson, if your lesson does not reach these numbers we will contact you with alternate options.
- For the safety and best experience of all, we request that children 9 and under must be accompanied in the water by an adult that is not participating in the lesson. We will provide a wetsuit for the parent free of charge.
- Safety is paramount to us, if we think that the weather conditions are not suitable prior to the lesson we will be in contact with you and offer to reschedule the lesson.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your lesson and register at the large purple trailer opposite Deep Blue Cafe in the car park, you cant miss us!
