From delicious dumplings to delectable desserts – this tour has it all! Join Kathy, our Melbourne food expert on a walking tour of some of Melbourne’s memorable and unique food tasting experiences. You will visit delicious, historic and off-the-beaten–track laneways while on foot with a local foodie.

We begin our gourmet adventure near Parliament House by sampling cheeses of the world and hand-made gelati, then savouring a great coffee at the famous Pellegrini’s. Our tour continues through the laneways where we pass some of Melbourne’s top restaurants, cafes and bars meandering towards more tastings! The tour includes 5-6 tastings, encompassing food cultures special to our multicultural foodie city.

Savour the wonderful flavours of inner city Melbourne. Learn more about hand-made dumplings, gourmet salumis, fine chocolates and numerous other delicious treats. We will sample a number of authentic specialties and discuss the well-developed cafe culture tied to the hidden spaces of Melbourne.

This tour ends with lunch at one of Melbourne’s iconic restaurants. The tour is suitable for locals and visitors and is available Fridays and Saturdays. Take this tour as the beginning of your wonderful Melbourne food journey.

The Taste of Melbourne Tour will start on the date specified outside the Princess Theatre, 163 Spring St Melbourne near the east doors (outside Federici Bistro, which is located in the theatre). Please see attached a photo of the theatre. Note the tour does not include a tour of the theatre. We merely use the building as a start point. Your tour guide will be wearing a blue MELTOURS bag with a yellow strap.

Note in case of no-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of the tour, to keep your booking a re-booking fee is needed to reschedule. To get the most out of your tour we recommend that you visit the rest room and be at the start point 5 minutes prior. The tour will run each and every time except if lightening/hail is seen – right at the start or during the tour. Note that all tours have a 13yo+ limit which is enforced as all tours contain adult concepts. This is the tour booking confirmation – no tickets will be issued. Your mobile number will be used to advise of any last minute issues via text.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This tour has a 3 person minimum for the tour to run. Our booking staff will contact you via email and text at least 24 hours before the tour is to start if the tour hasn’t reached minimum numbers.
