Hi adventurers,

We look forward to meeting and adventuring with you on the River Derwent.  Please note that the tour departure times is the time we aim to LEAVE.  Please do your own research and allow plenty of travel time and arrive 15 minutes prior to departure.

Please read our FAQ https://tassiebound.com.au/faq/ and check weather http://www.bom.gov.au/tas/forecasts/newnorfolk.shtml before travelling. What you wear is up to you and everyone feels the heat and cold differently. Here are some guidelines though.

All your mandatory safety equipment is provided, therefore, all you need to bring with you are some personal items to help make your day even more enjoyable. We recommend that you dress warmly (we recommend wearing active wear or similar quick dry clothing), sunglasses, swimmers, a cap or hat, towel, a pair of enclosed runners or sandals to wear on the river (they will get a little wet!), and a warm waterproof jacket. We also recommend a change of clothes for touring after.   Wet suits are not mandatory, if you feel the cold we recommend you hire from us for a small charge of $10 per wet suit.  If you have your own you are welcome to bring it along.

Morning tea and warm drinks are provided Liam is a qualified chef-by-trade and we offer simple local picnic style lunches packed full of organic in-season produce where possible (cheese and brownies etc). Guides take complimentary photos of your trip and provide at the completion your tour.  Please do not bring anything of value with you on your tour.  Mobile phones and jewelry should be left in your vehicle and/or back at your hotel and your car keys can be stored in our van which will be waiting for you at the end of your trip.  Be aware the river goddesses can be very hungry for shiny objects!

Safe travels to the Derwent Valley and please to not hesitate to call us on 0417 008 422 if you have any further questions.

Warm regards,

Fiona and Liam Weaver
