Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tour Great experience exploring natural Coffin Bay oyster farming region . Pristine clear waters .Good maintained amenities at boat dock on boarding vessel at yacht club . Extremely well maintained vessel provided a comfortable journey over waters to oyster farming region. Very welcoming crew , very knowledgeable to provide historical and factual account on oyster farming region. Highlight wading in protective overalls to explore oyster farm and spot for great photographs . Tasting fresh oysters and enjoying a drink was a great way to enjoy the return journey back to boat dock at yacht club .

You can’t beat freshly shucked oysters The 3 hour tour was well worth the money. Not only was it a picturesque journey but it was very informative. The skipper and crew were fantastic. Wading amongst the oyster beds was a great experience and learning about the history of oyster farming was fascinating. The amount of labour that goes into oyster farming was mind boggling and certainly explains the cost of oysters! The freshly shucked oysters were delicious - especially as they were accompanied by a local gin and tonic.
On the way back we saw sea lions and seals which was a bonus. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Such a fantastic morning out! Saw seals and multiple pods of dolphins and got to get to swim off the back of the boat at the oyster farm. Super friendly and accommodating staff and we had a great time, the oysters were 10/10!

Quite possible the best tourist experience we’ve ever been on! A three hour tour including a beautiful boat ride out to the oyster farm, than chance to get in and wade amongst the oyster racks followed by an in depth and passionate history of the region and the industry. A wonderful celebration of these world famous oysters and a globally recognised Australian product. This experience combined delicious food, beautiful natural scenery and in depth history. What more could one ask for!

The 3hr farm and bay tour was an outstanding experience and was the highlight of our trip to the Eyre! Our guide Scotty was fantastic. We went in summer and the water was warm enough to just wear our bathers. Our 7 year old daughter had a great time too. Oysters were delicious and our bottle of wine was nice and chilly. Highly recommend.

Absolutely memorable experience today. The best oysters and easy to digest but interesting information. The boat ride was smooth and we loved the wading experience with photo opportunity. The whole crew were warm and engaging.

If you're having second thoughts because of the price, don't! It's worth every penny. Skipper and crew are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The oyster farms are only a component of this tour as you'll also learn the history of Coffin Bay and see an array of marine life. Highly recommend.

These super fresh oysters are like nothing I've ever tasted - AMAZING!! Also had the opportunity to taste locally produced Coffin Bay Gin which I would highly rate.

Oyster farmers for a morning! Coffin bay is stunning. The tour was a great way to see the Bay, experiencing being an oyster farmer for the morning learning all about the oysters especially eating them after a fun time in waders exploring the oyster farm. The crew on board the beautiful boat were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful during the tour. My husband and I highly recommend this tour.

The Things We Now Know About Pacific Oysters We chose the short 90 minute tour which included the 6 oysters. Welcomed on board by the host and skipper Scott and his assistant Kianne. A very informative presentation and trip to see the oyster beds by Scott on the history of Coffin Bay and the nearly 100 years of harvesting the native Angasi oysters through to the decline in the 1940’s and then the upsurge of pacific oyster farming from the 1960’s! All delivered by Scott with empathy for the local ecology and his knowledge of oyster farming. Thank you my man!! Your talk was well presented with intelligence and humour! Bar prices good. We had Wanna Ale and a piccolo of Bird in Hand sparkling to accompany the MOST DELICIOUS Pacific oysters. Would recommend.

Worth every penny A very entertaining and informative host who made for an enjoyable experience. Wading among the Oyster racks was something different. On the way back we saw a dolphin pod and a few seals as well.

What an experience this was. Scott was so knowledgeable on oyster fishing/farming in Coffin Bay. Went the extra mile on taking photos for everyone with the oyster basket. Was great just to have a general chat with. Kian(I hope I’ve spelt that right) was great as well. Was happy to help with everything and was busy shucking all the oysters while Scott gave us the history lesson. Highly recommend this tour, it’s worth every cent and the oysters are the best in the world. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, sea lions and fur seals. Boat facilities are fantastic. It’s comfortable with a toilet on board. Windows that you can open if you want and a seat on the bow. Well done guys.

Highly recommend this tour if you are in Port Lincoln or Coffin Bay. Very comfortable boat with protection from the weather which was a bonus given it was windy and wet the day we were there. Stable boat don’t worry about sea sickness. We got to also see dolphins. Learnt a lot about the area and oyster farming and enjoyed beautiful fresh coffin bay oysters with sparkling wine and gin. Thank you for a great trip!

Oyster Heaven A fantastic experience! The Experience Oyster Farm Tour was relaxed, informative, and set in the stunning location of Coffin Bay. The Pacific oysters were incredibly fresh and full of flavour—definitely the best we’ve had. Paired with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, it was absolute perfection. Highly recommended!

Amazing tour Amazing tour, takes over 3 hours and absolutely fantastic. Delicious fresh oysters after wading around the boat beside the oyster beds. The operator was extremely knowledgeable with the history of the area and how oyster farming began in Coffin Bay. Well worth going.

With so many choices in Coffin Bay for an "Oyster "Experience " it was hard to choose. Experience Coffin Bay Oyster Farm tour was on the more expensive side, but worth every cent. For 3 hours I was immersed in the beauty, history, sights, sounds and tastes of Coffin Bay. The trip out to the Oyster Leases was comfortable with beautiful scenery along the way. Once at the lease we were provided waders to have a wonder around the clear waters, back in the boat we were then treated to an in-depth historical talk on the region and Oyster farming, very interesting. Freshly chucked oysters were served during the presentation, and my gosh, I have never tasted anything so pure. I have now been spoilt!
We then headed back home, stopping along the way to check out some local seal colonies and dolphins.
If you are wondering if it's worth the money.....yes yes and yes! Loved every minute of this trip.

We had an amazing morning, wading in the oyster farm, eating oysters fresh shucked by Lizzie the shucking Queen, seal and dolphin watching. Absolutely loved it!!!

What an excellent tour. The skipper and his crew member were brilliant and the weather was perfect for us. The wading experience was amazing and the water so crystal clear.
I am not a huge lover of oysters so just had a taste - they were certainly fresh.
On the way back we saw sea lions, an Australian Long Nose fur seal and some very inquisitive dolphins who played around our boat for a long time.
A perfect morning out on the beautiful bay - can highly recommend.

Perfect day out. Scott and Lizzy were perfect guides. On a 26 degree day we waded out in crystal clear waters into the middle of oyster farm. After some photos and a walk around we returned to the boat for a fun, educational talk and then enjoyed the freshest, tastiest Coffin Bay Oysters along with a bottle of wine. It doesn’t get much better than that.

The tour was amazing, dolphins followed the boat and then we got to wade around the oyster farm in the middle of the bay - magical! Indulged in the best oysters I've ever had, and on the way back spotted some sealions sun bathing on the rock. One of the coolest things I've ever done!

Must do tour OMG what an amazing experience. We absolutely loved it. Scott and Sandy were lovely people, easy to talk to and gave us an amazing day out on the water. We put our waders on and went for a walk amongst the oyster leases. What a great experience. The information provided by Scott on the boat included the history of Coffin Bay oysters and a demonstration on how to shuck an oyster without stabbing yourself. If you love oysters or even just interested in the growing process, this is a must do when in the area.

Had a great time on this tour. Got the chance to wear waders and enter the freezing water without getting wet. Tried fresh oysters straight out of the ocean. Didn't really like oysters before that but now love the taste and will always compare others with one of the best in the world. Tour guides were very informative friendly and funny. Added bonus seeing some dolphins playing in boat's bow wave.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour! What a fantastic 3 hour tour of the oyster farms near Coffin Bay! Had two interstate visitors and booked us on this tour. The owners are the best to deal with and Scott who leads the tour is a wealth of information on the history of the oyster industry, super interesting presentation. Tasted the most plump oysters plucked fresh from the pristine waterways of Coffin Bay, absolutely the best oysters in the world in my opinion. Saw plenty of wildlife, sea lions, seals and a school of dolphins decided they wanted to come out and play following our boat!! Do I recommend this 4 hour tour? Definitely. One of the best tours I’ve ever been on and highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

The 1/2 day tour was fantastic, I would strongly recommend to add on your itinerary when visiting South Australia!
Putting on waders and walking through rows of oysters was unique, and being able to eat oysters freshly collected from the ocean will stay engraved in my memory for a very long time!
Finally, the guide’s knowledge of the local oyster farming industry made this trip very interesting and educative.

This was such a fantastic experience and certainly worth the eight hour drive from Adelaide! The views were stunning and water so clear to see so much marine life. We had what will undoubtedly be the best oysters of our lives fresh out of the sea. The tour guide gave a fascinating talk on the history of oyster farming in Coffin Bay, which we enjoyed with our wine. Three hours flew by. I will definitely go again if I make it back down to Coffin Bay. Thank you! :)

The tour was amazing! We are very happy with the activity and the crew. They were so friendly and explained many interesting things about the oysters and their history. Initially, it was raining, and we were worried the tour might be canceled. Fortunately, it wasn't because as soon as we started, the rain stopped, and we had a wonderful time!
The oysters were incredibly tasty—the best I've ever had.
To top it off, we saw seal lions and dolphins. Epic day! We highly recommend this experience!

Fun, unique and informative Coffin Bay experience Weather was overcast and cool but that didn't prevent a great day out on the water in Coffin Bay, wading amongst the oysters, learning a lot about the whole history and current farming practices and of course tasting some oysters with some bubbles on the side! Half day option is also ideal to then do other things in the area through the afternoon.

If you only go one thing in Coffin Bay do this tour Wow what a fantastic tour. Everything was perfect, the water was at its sparkling best and after about 30mins exploring the area around the Bay we donned waders and ventured into the shallow water right in the middle of hundreds of oyster beds. On the way back our captain and tour guide Scotty explained the history of oyster farming in Coffin Bay and how oysters are actually grown. There were dolphins swimming alongside our boat and we stopped at a small island where four lazy old sea lions tried to compete with the dolphins for our attention. I would highly recommend this tour and thought it was great value for money. Oh and we did get to sample a dozen freshly shucked oysters as well.

We drove 750 km from Adelaide jus to see this amazing location. The tour, the boat and the staff were amazing. The tour was informative, 3 hours long and the oysters were magic. We saw Dolphins and seals as a bonus and the boat was nice and small. Only 12 of us, a very loooonnngggg drive, just so so worth it. 5 stars all the way.
